I am giving CenterWell Senior Care services and doctor Yang one star review. Failure to renew my prescriptions is dangerous practice. This is considered negligence.

My provider was negligent and did not renew my medications in a timely manner. On some of my medications I had to alternate what days to take them just so I wouldn’t run out and what ones I had to stop taking because I did ran out. I even called the pharmacist and asked them to fax a prescription renew order over to my provider. But after three weeks had gone by, my provider canceled the fax requests. All this occurred in a span of 10 weeks and two follow-up appointments with them to renew those prescriptions, and still no renewed prescriptions.

At first this provider was attentive and spent the time with me, was very thorough, ordered tests and procedures, reviewed my labs, discussed treatment options, but as time went on my provider seemed less interested in my health care needs, and more concerned with great reviews.

Zero stars to be honest I would never recommend this place.
The physician my mother consulted was inadequate; she was excessively preoccupied with her niece life. When my mother inquired about her condition, expressing her inability to walk, the response was to visit a podiatrist, accompanied by a referral, despite no issues with her feet, and the suggestion to get Hoka shoes. I requested a change of physician, resulting in the assignment of Dr. R. This decision proved to be a significant error, as he stated that he observed no issues with my mother, Celeste, who was in good condition. Two weeks later, she was hospitalized. This physician merely came to collect his payment and never visited my mother, who ultimately succumbed to cancer. Two doctors failed to recognize her need for a pap smear, despite her having had one with her previous doctor before Medicare but once she got Medicare she got the worse doctor’s on earth. It appears that many physicians prioritize financial gain over patient care.

After two months worst experience I have ever had. After discharge from the emergency room for cardiac issues and I called to make an appointment and they told me it would be two weeks because they were busy planning for the holidays and it goes on and on and on the medical assistant, blames me for them not doing their job. You can’t get any care. They mess up the referrals. They send them to the wrong doctors if you have a choice stay away from this place.

Normally I love this place, and the Staff, until last Thursday February 21,2025. I had an appointment with Dr. Yang whom is the best. Dr. Yang had put in for refills for my medications, and as we were leaving we got a voice message from Centerwell Pharmacy that our e prescriptions were received and would be processed. We immediately called Center well (doctors office and stated to Katrina that we do NOT use the Center well pharmacy and could she please have Dr. Yang resubmitt my prescriptions to Smiths on Rampart. Katrina said that she would email Dr. Yang immediately and if he was gone for the day we would hear from him or that our prescriptions had been transferred to Smiths in the morning. We did not hear anything from ANYONE the next morning nor did we hear anything from anyone on MONDAY. By this time I had been 5 days without my medication. When we tried to call on Tuesday, we kept getting hung up on, so we ended up going into the facility on Rainbow and speaking with the other girl whom immediately sent an email to Dr. Yang and took Center well Pharmacy off of my chart and put Smiths back on my chart. 30 minutes later we go a notification from Smiths saying that my prescriptions were ready. Had Katrina followed through with what she said she was going to do, I probably would give a better review. I am sorry but this is peoples lives that you are messing with, and the fact that we have not received an apology is unacceptable. I understand that people make mistakes, but it is when you take accountability for those mistakes. Like if she would have called on Friday and said Mr. Cummings I am truly sorry, I did not send an email to Dr. Yang to have your prescriptions transferred to Smiths, it wouldnt have been a big deal to us. But the fact that we had to go into Center well and that I was five days without my medication is not cool, who knows how long I would have been without my medication if it hadnt been for the fact that my wife suggested I call and then when I got no answers, we went to the facility. Patients should NEVER have to clean up another doctors/staff haphazardness.

I love Center Well on Rainbow. The staff are all wonderful. Very friendly and they make you feel like family. Valerie is very helpful with all my questions and Katrina(at the front desk) always has a smile for us. Dr Yang is a great doctor and he takes his time with me. He is also very patient with me(I love my doctor). His assistant Lawrence is very efficient and he makes sure I get all the referrals ans medications I need.
There aren't enough words to say what a wonderful place this is. Not only because of the staff but also because of it's activities.
We play cards 3 days a week and on the other 2 days there is bingo. There are classes on health issues and also exercise classes.
If it wasn't for this Center Well on Rainbow I would be sitting at home in front of the t.v.

When I first started with Centerwell they were welcoming and professional. However what broken down was their referral system. I needed an ENT and cardiologist I had cancer in the back of my nose and I have heart disease and afrib. I had been going to Centerwell since September of last year. Referral never got me a ENT and it took months to get a referral to the cardiologist I wanted.Then I needed an authorization for a brand medication for seizures I have been on for over 25 years that took over a month. Thank goodness for my vacation supply. I was also on an anxiety med for as needed I was running out. I had had a 30 day supply that lasted over 9 months. Never got a prescription. Everyone was kind and friendly but that is not enough. Illia S. was very helpful with my mental health concerns. Rachael found an UTI that no one else thought to look for. I was loosing my balance and got no referrals to help me with that. I could not drive or walk alone. I have since moved on a new primary where within the day I received all the referrals I needed and the prescription for the anxiety med. One day. The referral system at this Centerwell does not work . Move on if you are not getting your needs met.
