I only had the chance to see Dr.Veniegas once, so It’s not fair to speak about my experience with her. However, I can speak in regards to how her office operates, which is just a hot mess.
In September, I found out that one of my specialist doctor is now in network. The referral department informed me that they would need Dr. Veniegas office to receive medical records from my specialist, so that my Insurance can then get the referral processed. I found out that the proper paperwork were in their system for a very long time that if I never did called them and check a status, the referral would have never been processed. I had to literally have a 3 way call with the referral department and one of the MA’s on the phone to get things done.
They had to cancel one of my upcoming appointments (Understandable, things do come up and it was perfectly fine with me). They asked to reschedule and transfer me to a scheduler. This woman made it look as to schedule one single appointment was a struggle for her. When asked when Dr. Veniegas was her next available, she was all over the place. She offered me days and times, that I told her from the beginning of the call that I was not available. She then offered me to see the Nurse Practitioner, to which once again, she was all over the place. After that she notice that they didn’t have anything available, she then offered me to see another doctor in the same facility, and even before she would have another challenge of trying to book that appointment, I just told her to cancel my appointment and that I was just plain over it. 3 days later, I get a call informing me that they canceled my appointment, to which I had to tell them that it should of been cancelled days ago.
This is the one that really pushed me to the limit with this office: My behavioral Health doctor suggested that I get a referral to see neuropsychologist to get tested and evaluate in regards to a possible mental disorder, since it is out of his scope . The referral was sent and the next day I started getting message from someone asking me one too many questions as to why I need to see a neuropsy, who diagnosed me, and what are my symptoms. questions that a doctor should be asking I called my insurance in regards to who is asking all these questions. Comes to find out that it’s one of Dr. Veniegas M.A.. I didn’t know that M.A.’s can evaluate patients. But then again, It wouldn’t surprise me what else people at Dr. Veniegas office are also doing. Plus, if people were able to reschedule patients, Dr. Veniegas would be fully aware what is going on.
Luckily, after this referral goes thru, I wont have to see her office people ever again. I do hope that Dr. Veniegas has the chance to see this review and is aware of her office employees.

Dr Veniegas has been our doctor for years now. We make sure if we switch our insurance she takes it because we like her so much. She is professional and caring. Her staff is always nice and helpful. She has been caring for both me and my elderly mother who is now inching towards 95. She takes the time to listen to both of our needs me as her care giver and to my mother for her overall health. She makes it easy and convenient. If I call in about something I get a response in a timely manner too which is helpful as well

Doctor Cheryl Veniegas has been a pleasure to have careing for my elderly father. She is very professional but yet careing and informative with each visit and situation. We are so lucky to have. Our visits are always easy, informative and convenient for my dad. The staff is great and the office is clean and has room to maneuver for the patients with wheel chairs and canes etc.

First thing is I told her that I needed a walker because I fell, and she said it typically takes at least a week, and I said well I need it now I might not need it in a week. So today 4 days later, I checked referral and found out she put it in there as only a routine which takes 1 to 2 weeks... I could be totally healed by then. I specifically told her I needed it now, then come to find out when I called referral she could have put it in there as a stat and I could have got it in 24 to 48 hours. Which would have been nice and ideal if she would have been a compassionate person, and listened to my needs. Do not like her do not waste your time with her. And also did not smile one time so she's not very friendly or has a good bedside manner at all!!!!

I just love my primary doctor, Dr. Cheryl Venigas,. She talks with me. She understands me. She has a smile for me and I really need things like that in my life. Doctor Vienegas positively answered all of my worries thoroughly repeatedly and really if I were to die it would have just happened. Less stress and yes doctor visit periodically as needed. I was so glad I was able to return to Dr. Veniegas after quite a few years because I had another insurance carrier that she did not take. Dr. Veniegas is very patient and thorough. Dr. Veniegas found that I was a borderline diabetic and needed to watch my sugar intake. My previous doctor did not think it was necessary to do an A1c blood test as my glucose was always within range. Thank you, Dr. Viegas for taking care of me.
