I was so nervous to get a helmet for my baby at first but I’m so happy that I did. The whole staff is amazing! What an excellent experience I had with Daniel. My baby girl had a flat head but now is fixed🎉 Daniel is very kind, patience, friendly, and professional. I had lots of questions every appointment, but he still spent his time to answer all of it. The environment is cozy too, we love to stay there while we wait for Daniel to shape the helmet. Daniel is so professional and knowledgeable with my infant. He has helped our daughter with Plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome) and torticollis (tight neck muscles). My son was referred to Children's Orthotics and Prosthetics for a head helmet. This was new to us, but we had the same goal to make my sons shaping in the head go towards the right direction, nicely rounded as much possible as we could. The staff was always so kind, friendly & very professional. Dr. Kaitlyn was my sons doctor & she always always so amazing, I love her whole vibe. As soon as she walked in the room her full attention was to my son & making sure he was comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

My experience is not good! I have twins that has helmets. The front office is terrible; especially Uni. I believe I spelled her name right. The manager didn’t have any sympathy or empathy for the twins medical condition. She basically called me a liar about the twins appointments that they had at another medical facility. The doctors are great; no issues there. I don’t deserve to be talked to any type of way and the children doesn’t deserve to see that type of behavior. It’s about treating people with respect and staying professional. We should be able to come to a solutions not adding stress .
The children is going through a lot and all they can do, is talk nasty to people (unacceptable). There is one person in the office name Alexandra, she is very respectful, professional and compassionate. Uni in the office; when you address your concerns, she has an attitude and get annoyed. She shouldn’t get upset about children that are going through a medical issue. I will be requesting for another location and a different company; where the children get the care and compassion they deserve.

What a beautiful experience from something that should have been scary and stressful. Every staff member we spoke to was so wonderful and kind and patient. We had an evaluation for bracing my 3 year old son’s ankles with Daniel Tsen. I have had to see a few specialists for my son and Daniel was by far the best, and we have had some great ones! Every single experience we have ever had at Children’s Orthotics and Prosthetics has been the best of the best! My son uses AFO braces for his lifelong condition of Cerebral Palsy and they are an incredible tool to position his feet for standing in his stander. The stander is used to train his body in hopes that he will one day be able to use a gait trainer, sit up and then hopefully one day he will walk. It also it helps with his bone development. The reason I explained this is to help you understand that we will always have a need for braces for my son’s feet, and he needs a new pain approximately once a year as his feet grow. We live about 40 minutes from this office and will 100% continue to travel here as I have never had a better experience than I have here. Let me tell you, I’ve been other places and town even and it was not a great experience to be honest. We love it here!

Awesome place . My son will be graduating from his helmet in less than 2 weeks . The people here are so nice& you don’t sit for long . They have waters for their patients&coffee. Bathroom is set up for mommies&daddies and has supplies for babies if needed (diapers of all sizes and wipes) and they have the cutest motivational books for children in their rooms . Love this place and will recommend it.

Place is very clean, staff and doctors are very nice. It was a great experience. They took their time to answer all my questions and concerns in detail which helped easy my mind.
They helps babies and toddlers so when we used the restroom, I thought the way they dedicated their restroom with a fully stocked changing table with many different sizes of diapers and baby wipes was such a Aww feeling. Please continue to be amazing. You guys are great.

My daughter got a helmet which i did forget to mention. They received it very quickly despite the ca fires. Communication is 10/10 front desk was very great with giving updates without me having to call them or showing up and not having item ready.
When I had issues with the helmet with giving my baby a rash on her forehead they got answers right away. Made it super easy to show babies skin without having to go in for an apt by having a text line availabilities just gor a quick Q&A.

This company is SO honest. They saw my daughter three times and monitored her before they told us that she did not need a helmet. They didn’t try and push a helmet on our daughter even though they had our insurance approval for one and it was looking like she originally was going to need one. My wife and I are first-time parents and naturally we had many anxieties and fears that came with this new chapter. An unanticipated change that we needed to address was our son’s need for a helmet. It felt, at the moment, like such a scary change. Will he really be able to adjust to wearing this for 23 hours each day? Can he actually sleep with this thing on? He just started to sleep through the night. Will this set his sleeping schedule back? We had so many things worrying us and it felt like it started to pile on.

Enter Children’s Orthotics and Prosthetics. I’m sure every parent can agree that it is definitely an intimidating thing to walk into a new place that will be providing some sort of care to your child. Whether it is a pediatrician, daycare, or in this case, an orthotics clinic. However, when he was first assessed and fitted for his helmet, it was actually a very fun experience in an equally warm, inviting setting. I cannot say enough great things about Alicia and Katelyn, and the staff. The education on the helmet that Katelyn provided us with left us without any questions, but instead gave the confidence and encouragement we needed at a time of uncertainty. Alicia has went above and beyond to address our needs, and we genuinely look forward to his follow up appointments to receive his updates.

To close, for any parent that finds themselves in need of an orthotics and prosthetics clinic, do not go anywhere else but here. It may sound cliche, but they have made us feel like they sincerely care about our son. At the end of the day, that is what matters most. We cannot thank them enough

I HIGHLY highly recommend Children's Orthotics and Prosthetics!

After having the worst experience with Orthopedic Motion, our sons pediatrician referred us here. His dad and I were nervous because we started his helmet journey when he was 7 months old and now he was 15 months old and we were back to square one.

When I called Children's Orthotics and Prosthetics, the staff was so sweet. Since my son is older, the time to get his head corrected is very limited. They immediately put me on hold and spoke to Alicia Purdum, the Owner to let her know the situation. When they came back on the phone, they had us scheduled in a week.
When we went in, Alicia immediately got my son fitted for a helmet. She listened to all our concerns and she told me his helmet would be here in 10 days. I thought I heard her wrong. She goes, yup in 10 days. Regulations are they must be fitted and in the helmet within 14 days. Orthopedic motion had me wait 8 weeks for my son's helmet previously and it NEVER fit right.

Well as promised, 10 days came and he was in his helmet already! and it fit beautifully! Alicia explained that since my son is older, we are going to get some correction but not full. I was sad but I knew it was true.

Fast forward, each appointment his head got more and more corrected! Alicia was the sweetest and she said we keep getting correction, lets go another month. IM SO HAPPY TO SAY, my son is now graduated from his helmet and he is within NORMAL RANGE!
I never thought it would be possible as he is almost 20 months old but Alicia made it happen!
This place is wonderful. Clean, friendly and the rooms are so inviting. My son used to run into the rooms and play with all the toys. I highly recommend them over anyone.

Both my sons went here for their cranial remolding helmet, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way! They truly go above and beyond for each and everyone of their clients. Dr Alicia is amazing and you can tell she truly cares. We went to children’s orthotics after having a horrible experience with pops prosthetics, and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to go to children’s orthotics instead! They were able to get us in for an appointment at the last minute. They got all the measurements done that we needed and also gave us a timeline so we know when to expect to receive the special shoes, leg braces, and hand/wrist splints. Alicia also has a lot of experience with Arthrogryposis which is a fairly rare genetic disorder that my daughter has. Alicia was able to give us more insight on the genetic disorder based off of her experience. She gave us hope, and has no idea how much that means to us! I highly recommend this place, they are truly amazing!

I was completely ignorant of “helmet” use in babies and never saw a baby/toddler with one. When I went to the office the practitioner gave me more than enough information to put my mind at ease. The step by step process was painless and my little man quickly adapted to wearing the helmet all day! I experienced a little rash from him when using Johnson baby wash, however they made me aware of the proper soap to use! They gave him approximately 6-9 mod to wear but he was done on 3 1/2 months. I’m so happy with his new shape head, the service and how timely they are!!! Go for it!!!

I was told my son had to wear a helmet when he was around 3 months old. I was extremely nervous about the unknown. As a mom you just want your babies to be ok! Let me just say. Dr. Katelyn and her staff are absolutely AMAZING!!! The ladies at the front desk were always very welcoming every single time I arrived at our appointment. I absolutely love this place and will refer it to anyone I know that needs any children's prosthetics. My youngest daughter had a slightly lopsided head and she needed a helmet. This office is so great, they explained everything really well, if we ever had questions they were answered and we were supported 100 percent of the way. So we are a Military family from Las Vegas,
Stationed in CO. When my husband deployed I came home to Vegas for support. Then my helmeted son got very sick and spent 9 days out of his helmet. I couldn't find help with an adjustment. I have two babies and both of them needed helmets. Alicia is the best, she made sure to help me get my insurance to cover it so my baby could get his helmet as soon as possible and start the progress. From the doctor to the staff the experience overall has been absolutely amazing! The staff are extremely helpful and caring and really try to create a solid relationship with each person/family they come in contact with. Valerie is an amazing lady who is so nice, thoughtful and on top of her game each time we visit the office. Alicia, who is the orthotist, is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, understanding and patience with the parents who are entering this journey!

We have had a wonderful experience with everyone there and are sad to say our helmet journey has ended (the baby graduated) but we plan to keep in touch as the staff made us feel like family as well.

This place was one of the best experiences I could have imagined. At first when our child's pediatrician told us he thinks she might need a helmet because she seems to be a little uneven; us as first time parents panicked. We had no knowledge or even knowing someone else's child having to where one. Our pediatrician recommended this place to us and told us they would even call to make their soonest appt. Going to our consultation we were nervous and a little scared we had no idea what to expect. Arriving to our appt. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms we happy places and filled with toys which of course our baby loved. The doctor was amazing she was there to educate and also showed us pictures of how the helmet works and by them our fears were gone and we felt ok knowing she might need one. Our baby got measured and they at no point pushed us on having to get a helmet. Doctor told us she was honestly so mild range that she might not need one. She had us come back in another month to reevaluate her head and also gave me advice on better shampoo and lotion to use on my baby's sensitive skin (which I will always be grateful for since it worked and my baby had no more rushes or red skin!) On our second visit same experience with staff, great people and environment. My baby got remeasured and eneded up not needing the helmet! The whole staff clapped for my baby in excitement and made us feel extremely good. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who needs it or even just a consultation! Loved every moment ❤

I absolutely love them! Kindest and most professional staff ever. I was skeptical of the helmet. But as soon as we met Alicia and took measurements and showed us before and after pictures of other children. I was immediately on board. It's been a few weeks now and the progress is amazing. His head is so much more symmetrical now.

He has no issues wearing it 23 hours a day. No issues sleeping in it. He does turn his head left and right repeatitly in it sometimes, it may be itchy when he does that. So when I take it off, I massage his head and run my hands slowly all over for him. He likes coming out of it for that and his bath time. When it's time to put it back on, I have zero issues doing so. He doesn't mind putting it back on either.

Took around 10 days to make. The scan of their head is literally a 10 second process. They have different designs. They also do more than helmets. But if you have doubt's (which i did, and worries) DON'T! It is absolutely worth it. Do it for your child, I am so happy with the results we are very much seeing already.

My only gripe, is I can't kiss his head all the time, and changing his clothes. Also, been headbutted. lol but those are very minor complaints that don't affect anyone but me.

My son had a flat spot on his head that was only getting worse. We went to Alicia for a second opinion on whether he needed a helmet. Alicia measured his head and found that he was in range for a helmet so we decided to go through with it and I’m so glad we did! Our son started to present early onset positional plagiocephaly at 3 months. He would love to tilt his head one side causing him to sleep and flatten the shape of his head to the right. We tried our best to fix his sleeping habits and do lots of tummy time, but nothing could reshape his head. Our pediatrician referred us to Children’s Orthotics, and gave into using the cranial helmet. Our appointment was easy to obtain, each visit was quick and fast and I never waited any longer than 10 mins to see Alicia. Everything she provided was informational, and our son took a total of 3 months to reshape his head. There would be nights it would be tough, especially since he was teething but overall he did really well in the helmet. Luckily we did his helmet transition during winter, he didn’t break out in a rash. My husband and I are completely happy with the results, and if I had to redo it we’d do it again. Great service and great staff. 10/10 overall.

Our son needed a helmet for his flat head, and Alicia and everyone here made the experience much easier than I ever expected it to be! Every step was explained to us in simple enough terms, we always felt welcomed, and of course they helped our baby have a perfectly round head again! This place is amazing!

1. The office feels like home. They think of every detail to make u feel at home. I have never seen a clinic with wooden changing tables in the restroom with different sized diapers and wipes. It always clean and organized too.

2. The staff are so professional and warm. Most of my baby’s appointments are scheduled after my 12hr night shift so getting everything ready has been a challenge yet the staff are still so accommodating and flexible with the schedule changes.

Sorry for the late post, but better late than never. Our son Isaiah started his helmet journey on March 13th, 2019 and ended it on July 10th, 2019. Our son’s pediatrician recommended that we come to this facility and see if our son qualified for a helmet, which of course he did because how flat/wide his head was. This place was amazing in every way, helpful, and friendly. They answered any questions you had about their product to make you feel comfortable about it and provided their personal information so they can answer any questions you had at any time. They were amazing with my son and made him smile every time we went to visit. Our little man was a big Tarzan fan so we got him the monkey/jungle helmet, which he looked so handsome in. For the most part, my son liked wearing his helmet except for bedtime. Bedtime was difficult for us, but we were able to get a couple of them in. Being consistent is key. Now our son has a beautiful shaped head and it’s all due to the help that this facility provided. We are so thankful for all their help and highly recommend this place to anyone whose child needs a helmet.

It was our son's pediatrican that initially noticed his head shape was a little off. He had developed a flat spot on the back of his head and it caused the sides to bulge out giving the appearance of a larger than usual head. She referred us to this place. Alicia and team have been wonderful since the beginning. Always kind and caring, they were very specific with instructions for wearing and keeping the helmet clean. I wish there words. My sons flat spot was milk. 6mm asymmetry, and 89% for width vs length. Ideal is 85% or less and 0mm asymmetry. I went in not knowing if it was the best choice and with the cost I was definitely hesitant. If there is something that helped me it was knowing that I would never regret helmeting, but there was a chance I would not going through with it.

I was in between hangar clinic and children’s OP. I ultimately went with Alicia because I felt she could give me the attention and care I wanted for my son. Brand of helmet matters very little, it all has to do with the Orthotist and Alicia is the best in Vegas.

Go in, get a free eval, it’s so worth it!!! It only took two months and we started late at 10 months, but our correction was beautiful and shows that you can get great correction even at 10 months!

When my daughter needed orthotics, I was told I need a prescription from my doctor to get them. My doctor said he needed to know what to write the prescription for and I had no idea what to tell him. Alicia is the absolute best! Our twin boys had torticollis (tight neck muscle causing head to always turn left) and severe flat heads from beimg 5 1/2 weeks early and in NICU for that long. They got their helmets with no problems - Alicia knows all the ins-and-outs of insurance! She is so understanding, so patient, so sweet and positive! Always had a smile and was honest and positive about their appointments, with their progress or regression. Check in was fast, always set next appointments up quick and super easy. Anytime boys needed any adjustments she would say 'bring 'em in!" She'd even stay a little later for me sometimes. When we were referred, I wasn’t sure about the whole thing, but it’s amazing what 2.5 months did! My daughter had a 10mm slant 😱 she actually showed me that one ear sat closer due to it. We had the absolute BEST experience at Children’s Orthotics and Prosthetics! My fiancé and I have only but amazing things to say. My son was recommended by one of the doctors at his pediatrician because of his flat spot. As a first-time mom, I was very concerned for my son because what if the helmet will hurt him and he would have trouble sleeping? But Alicia put my fears at ease. Wow Alicia and staff at Children OP are amazing! I was referred here by my pediatrician and we decided she needed a helmet to fix the flatness and other issues with her head. Alicia was so helpful along the whole process and taught us everything we needed to know. Starting at 6 month old, she wore her helmet full time for a few months, then just while sleeping for two more months. The results were so drastic! We could see improvements with her head shape all along, and the before/after pictures at the end are spectacular to see. Alicia is absolutely wonderful , she is highly knowledgeable and passionate about helmets coupled with a lovely and warm bed side manner. Couldn’t be happier with our results for our boy! Her husband Chris is great too, friendly and funny to add to the office environment !

I am sooo happy with the care recieved! My Son had to receive a helmet and it was such an easy process and she made sure he was always comfortable and that it fit properly! Even if it meant I had to come in last minute for a quick adjustment. Alicia is so great with kids and he office is so homey. Really enjoyed the visits and my sons head is perfect now! Not to mention the fact that she really fought for us with our insurance and we GOT IT COVERED!! Such a blessing!

We absolutely recommend Children’s orthotics and prosthetics! Dr. Purdum and her husband are awesome.
I felt my sons head was shaped different but his pediatrician said he just had a small head and we just needed to wait for it to grow, I knew something was wrong and I looked around for a specialist, Children’s orthotics and prosthetics offered a free exam I figured if they immediately wanted to put him into a helmet I would wait and talk to his pediatrician again. Dr Purdum didn’t, she gave us tips to try and correct it with lots of tummy time first. He eventually did get fitted for a helmet. She was very understanding, patient , gentle and great with my son. She took her time to answer all our questions .Our experience was awesome.

If I could give Children’s Orthotics and Prosthetics a million stars, they would earn every single one. They are very compassionate, patient, and caring. My daughter is a very shy and timid little girl who has been intimidated by all her doctors visits. We have been to three orthotic offices and this one has by far been the best one. The other clinics were in a hurry to get you in and out and on to the next. The staff is so loving and nurturing to the point at the end of the visit, she has wanted to stay. Alicia took her time and made sure everything was done correctly. With the 18 years of experience that Alicia has, she definitely has perfected it.

Highly recommend. My son just finished his helmet treatment for plagiocephaly and Alicia was wonderful. She answered all of our questions in ways that we understood and made sure that we were comfortable with every aspect of our son's treatment. Everything with the insurance was handled with no inconvenience for us. If any one I knew needed a baby helmet or other treatment that Alicia provides I would not hesitate to recommend Children's Orthotics and Prosthetics.

I highly recommend children’s orthotics & prosthetics I am so happy I found this place!! The first time I was scared not knowing much about cranial remolding helmet or how this process was going to be for my baby it was a scary feeling. But Alicia the Owner made all those feeling go away as soon as we walked into her office she provided me with so much helpful information in regards to everything that need to be done for my son. I never felt I was alone. Always helpful alway making sure we were okay and everything we needed was met with lots of information in regards to the helmet.. I highly recommended this place am I happy I found this place!!

Children Orthotics is a very welcoming and comfortable I brought my daughter there and Alicia measured her head for free. After working with them for two months, my daughter didn’t need a helmet or anything and was completely fine. They were great and friendly, the place was clean and I felt very cared for and that they wanted me to leave feeling satisfied. Great place and totally recommend it!

We are so happy we found this place! Alicia (the owner) is so great with children and she is very knowledgeable. We felt that we were in good hands all throughout our journey. I was very worried in the beginning. I was afraid my baby will hate the helmet and will cry when I make her wear it. To my great surprise, my baby girl did not mind it at all. It took a couple of nights to get used to sleeping in it, but after that she was doing great. I am so pleased with the results. Alicia took pictures before and after and sent them to me. What a huge difference! Our baby’s little head looks perfect and round. I highly recommend this place. If you think your baby's head looks funny, Alicia can take the measurements and she will honestly tell you if your baby will benefit from a helmet. The consultation is free. Don’t wait too long, you only have a short window to be able to correct it. A lot of people told me that the flat spot will go away but in our case it wouldn’t. I am so glad we consulted a professional!

The most pleasant, patient, and just all around wonderful doctor...Alicia and her husband Chris are just amazing...it has been an pleasure having my child as a patient there...I am actually pretty sad that his time with this place is over...they worked hard to get my child the proper and best possible treatment for his head and helmet...they were always on top of reminding me EVERYTIME with my appointment times and everything was just perfect...I am for sure in the future for any of my ortho and prosthetic needs will be coming back here and will be recommending to all that I know to let them know this should be the first and only place they need to be looking for any ortho and prosthetics...thank you so much Alicia and Chris it really was a pleasure thank you

I highly recommend Children's Orthotics & Prosthetics. My child needed a cranial remolding helmet due to torticollis and I was a self-referral after googling this particular need. Alicia is an experienced professional, specializing in pediatrics. The initial consult was free and she was willing to work with us for the cost of the helmet, since Tricare does not cover it. My child made excellent progress in a short amount of time. We followed Alicia's prescribed schedule for wear and follow-up visits were always convenient for our schedule. She takes time and care for her patients, and parents as well. I always looked forward to the follow-up appointments to see my son's progress. We are thankful to have found Children's OP! I have recommended them to my pediatrician for referrals.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience here. Alicia made me feel so comfortable from beginning to end in this process. We brought our son in around 4 months old and he wore the helmet for approximately 4 months. My sons head went from (extreme) flat to round in that short amount of time. I am SO HAPPY with the results! If your considering this for your child, DO IT! You will be so pleased and your son or daughter will thank you in the long run.

Made an appointment for a free consultation since I felt a bit of a flat spot on my daughters head. They were able to get me in right away and Alicia was amazing! Even though we didn’t need to get a helmet, she took her time to answer all my questions and was great with the baby! She’s not just trying to sell her products and services, she’s honest and tells you exactly where your baby stands. Totally recommend this place :)
