This review is about the difficulty of communicating with them. AI answers and calls dropped 3 times before reaching the operator. Very hard to reach anyone there. Message on the Ontada Health portal not answered. This needs improvement!

It’s taken me a while to write this review. I was a patient of Comprehensive Cancer Centers since age 21. I am now in my 30s. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Especially a person of color or anyone that has a lifelong illness/chronic pain. The staff lacks empathy and I’ve been in several situations where I was not heard or felt like they cared. If you or your loved one needs to be seen please find some where else and do not come here. Mentally I am traumatized from this place! I’m so glad I was able to find Dr. Goodman at his new office after looking him up online for months!

Extremely disappointing experience. The doctor was arrogant and spoke down to me throughout the entire consultation. On top of the condescending attitude, they refused to provide support correspondence. A complete lack of basic professionalism and patient care. I would not recommend this location.

It's enough to be going through medical issues but for the 2 people to be rude while on your cell phone at work and have an attitude like you did today, thank you for showing me how you treat people. And Dee for you not to set my appointment and get an attitude. I hope you enjoy my complaint as the company pulls up the recorded call log. How you spoke was so uncalled for. “ Why are you looking through your call record ,what are you trying to prove? “ I hope the office was being recorded as well. Thank you to the 2 women at the front desk who were understanding, offered me a clipboard, and didn't treat me like the other 2.

I need to file a complaint against “Gary” who answers the phone. First, his tone was inappropriate. We called about needing someone from my care team to reach out to us regarding elevated lab levels. Well Gary thinks it’s appropriate to argue with patients about this. He stated “you only have two labs back.” Those are the labs that I was calling about. Then he wants to argue “but you had lots of labs done earlier this week.” I explained that I only got the labs redrawn that were high and they’re still high, so I need to speak with someone from my team. Then he stated that the labs “just got uploaded 3 minutes ago” (this was around 16:30) and acted like I was being unreasonable. I explained that I find that hard to believe as I had seen the new labs on my Ontada portal around 11 am. I could be wrong but I don’t believe he should be making any clinical comments as a receptionist. I don’t understand why I have to argue with the receptionist just to get a message to my care team?

Terrible service. Tried to set an appointment and they call back at 4:59 pm on a Friday and still haven’t made contact. Unbelievable as this place doesn’t treat their cancer patients at all!

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Comprehensive Digestive Institute of Nevada. I scheduled an appointment but unfortunately had to cancel due to a family emergency involving a car accident. I called as soon as I could, which ended up being at 5:30 PM on Friday — after their office had already closed (their hours are only 9–5). The appointment wasn’t until Monday, meaning I still gave more than 48 hours’ notice.

Despite this, I was charged a $150 cancellation fee, along with an additional $30 charge labeled as a “dummy code,” bringing the total to $180. This is completely unreasonable.

What’s even worse is the complete lack of communication. I have made multiple phone calls and even sent a written letter, and no one has responded or made any effort to resolve the issue.

As someone who works in the medical field, I find this kind of billing practice incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. Patients should not be penalized for emergencies, especially when they made a clear effort to notify the office ahead of time. The additional unexplained charge only makes the situation more concerning.

Overall, this experience has been very disappointing, and I would not recommend this office based on how they handle billing and patient communication.

They dont care if you live or die.
If you are a new patient, all 4 receptionists will be on their phone. Do NOT talk or speak to them as they will just point at the clipboard , sign in and eventually sometime during the day they will call u.
Their call center dont bother even leaving a message, they will call u back in 48 hours but will not help u.

I strongly dislike going to doctors due to a complex medical condition and years of being dismissed or not treated well. Over time, this created a lot of fear and stress around medical visits. Surprisingly, I genuinely enjoy going to Comprehensive Cancer Center of Nevada — it honestly feels more like going to a spa than a medical facility.

The entire staff is exceptionally compassionate, kind, and professional. Appointments are always on time, communication is excellent, and it is very easy to reach medical assistants, scheduling, or other staff by phone. Referrals are sent almost immediately, which makes a huge difference.

Dr. Janson Trieu has been incredibly helpful in working to diagnose my long-standing and mysterious condition. Over the past five years, I have seen more than 50 doctors and often wasn’t even believed. Dr. Trieu listened carefully, took my concerns seriously, and ordered extensive labs along with multiple referrals for further testing. In just two visits, Dr. Trieu has done more for me than any other doctor I have seen in years.

I have a strong sense of trust in Dr. Trieu and truly feel like a VIP patient at this practice. I am very grateful for the level of care and respect I receive here and would strongly recommend Dr. Trieu and Comprehensive Cancer Center of Nevada.

For the past 6 or 7 years, I've had nothing but very satisfying and professional visits. The doctors, nurses and phlebotomists are the best...first class. Today I had my first unpleasant experience. After all was completed I was sent to scheduling. I sat there with no acknowledgment from the schedulers. After about 10 minutes, I asked if they knew I was there...they said they did but were doing other things. This is just an observation, but the least the scheduling staff could do, is to acknowledge patients and perhaps ask for their patience, rather than ignoring them.

My mother is a patient of Dr. Gupta's and she is not receiving her treatment for mutiple myeloma because he has, on more than one occasion, cancelled her appointment. I understand life happens to everyone, but accommodations should be made to ensure all patients can receive the treatments they need. CCC is one of the few options cancer patients have in Southern Nevada. They need to do better.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY, and for finding a new provider. Note: 1 day after you triumphantly replied, you cancelled the new appointment with the new provider with less than a days notice. This is no way to treat people.

The office staff is rude and so very unprofessional at this location. They cannot figure out insurance copays. Heaven forbid they pick up a phone and call the insurance company. Nope. They assume whatever website they look at is correct even after me calling my own insurance company and getting how much I owe. They still continue to try to charge the incorrect amount. These woman are the most unprofessional people to deal with.

Been taking a stage 4 parent here for two years, and over three course of this time there’s been several inexcusable incidents that shouldnt be happening, especially for a cancer center.
the scheduling is frequently a mess leading to misses in care, including incorrect treatment, or delayed treatment that’s resulted in a trip to the er.
Waiting for weeks for anything to be scheduled and not being able to get ahold of this office for over a week at a time.
A disappointing amount of “I don’t knows” has been given as a response by many of the staff here when trying to resolve issues.
Scan results not being properly read resulting in treatment that’s no longer effective continuing to be given.
Palliative care not being handled properly resulting in inadequately treated pain.

I do not recommend this office, the amount of incompetence and poorly managed treatment is frightening. It’s incredibly frustrating having put a parent through this horrible office for two years.

The single star is a rating for contact only. I give 5 for how they helped my wife. My issue is the billing payment for our noncovered portion of the bill. I've mailed in payment several times to address shown for remittance, and it gets returned as undeliverable every time. Calls go unanswered as calling after they are closed....2 hours after they open. It's ridiculous trying to pay this outfit. I just opened a threat for collections! I live over an hour away from their nearest office and may have to drive the payment to them. Thank God the service they provide is better than their communication and billing operations!

I have been treated here for a year, with utmost respect, clear explanation of treatments and side effects, accurate scheduling and fast action if something troubling cropped up that needed to be addressed. Everyone at the Southwest location that I've encountered has been kind, pleasant and professional - from reception, labs, chemo and radiation treatment, doctor and nurse appointments and scheduling. I also had treatment at the N. Town Center office, and it was excellent, as well. I highly recommend Dr. Jacks and Dr. Meoz and their teams. I know I got the best treatment available, and know the CCC team keeps on top of the latest options for their patients.

After a bad experience at the Northwest clinic I switched to the Southwest clinic and I am very happy I did. The staff there are great and so are the doctors. Dr Wang who I initially saw there is still my radiation doctor and Dr Gupta is my oncologist are great doctors. The one other great thing is the scheduler that I had for Dr Gupta. Karen is the best and when I recently heard that schedulers will no longer be specific to a doctor I was upset. Having one person to deal with for appointments is an essential part of patient care since the scheduler is a direct connection to the doctor. Please put that practice back into action so that patients know who they are talking to about appointments.

I had an scheduled appointment today 6/8/2023 at 4:45pm. Same scenario, I called verified my appointment, spoke to Sara confirmed my teledoc appointment and was told by 4:45pm I will receive a call. ..SO, as I am driving at 4:18pm I get a call from the doctor 🤔 not even 5 minutes after my conversation with her I called the office more than 5 times about an early call.. Now again, after 5pm talking to Sara, I am told, I MISSED MY APPOINTMENT and I have to reschedule!! OH I DON'T THINK SO..Now again I have to take time off of work ... This needs to be addressed by Comprehensive Cancer, appointment time is appointment time, you cannot call earlier and then just leave...Patients depend on their physicians.

I scheduled a teledoc appointment months ago with my oncologist. They call me while at work leaving a message if they can move up the appointment. I sent a message and called with my appointment time. Doctors nurse calls and said they will send another link in 10 minutes and doctor will call. I waited 1 hour and half after that phone call, no text, no call. I called the answering service, my doctor was on call. They sent him a message , still no call after 3 and half hours passed my appointment time. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. IF I DID NOT SHOW UP FOR MY APPOINTMENT THEY WOULD CHARGE ME.

As a NURSE FOR 15+ years and in management, all I can say is thank God I actually don’t have cancer and it’s just a hematology issue. I would hate to ever think that I would get cancer in Nevada especially with this clinic and especially with the specific scheduler that I have with Dr. Gupta and her name is Karen. She is the worst. I hope that anybody that has cancer will not have to deal with her, because all you will deal with is stress and grief, which you don’t need at this delicate time in your life .

I called to schedule an appointment. The first question is " are you cash pay or insurance" Nothing about my health. No questions like" why are you interested in being seen at a cancer clinic?' " have you had cancer or do you have it now?' NOPE it is all about the money. Once I said that I was cash pay the lady told me I can not be seen. They do not accept cash patients. I am cash because I can afford to pay. Please don't waste your time with this place.

See details of my review on YELP!!! - This place is horrible! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE - Never have I been treated with such disrespect! I called their Human Resources department on 11/19/2021 and was advised I would get a call back from Amy's boss named James. He finally called me back today (11/24/2021) after I reached out again to Human Resources today. Not one time did he emphasize with my problem. It's all about his staff - he saw no issue with the way his staff speaks down to people over the phone and the lies being told over the phone. I will never be apart of the COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER AGAIN!!!!

UPDATE - June 22, 2021 - It would appear my review has had an effect on Dr. Wojcik and his office. They did in fact call and try to help me bypass the good doctor's horrible bad habit of wasting patient's time. But alas, the doctor would have none of it as he cancelled my appointment the afternoon before my morning meeting with him. Coincidence, perhaps. Upon rescheduling, I found I was not going to see him, but rather would be seeing a PA. No problem as Dr. Wojcik has yet to impress me with my five hours of wait time and twenty minutes of face to face time with him. I showed up for my rescheduled appointment today to find I apparently had the wrong time. My appointment was earlier in the day. Despite confirming with the young lady who rescheduled my cancelled appointment three times last week, I apparently wrote down the time wrong. I find that hard to believe. Luckily the office staff accommodated me with a tele-visit. So once again, my time was wasted going to this office. My advice, I would highly recommend asking your referring physician for another option if they happen to utter the name Dr. Wojcik. I can't say he's a bad doctor, I honestly don't know from my very limited time with him. But I can say I am not terribly impressed given the amount of grief and frustration I have experienced with his office.
----------------
I have no clue why a doctor would be so inconsiderate to schedule appointments but then make patients wait more than an hour after said scheduled appointment to see them for ten minutes. When questioned what time I would actually see the doctor, the front office staff had no answers. I was finally taken back to a room after an hour and fifteen minutes. I asked the nurse how long it would be until I saw the doctor now that I was in a room. She gave me a best guess of 30 - 60 minutes. This service is deplorable. Why on earth would you treat your patients with such disrespect?

Highly unrecommended. I went to this office not sure why my referring Doctor sent me there... The Doctor I saw was extremely unhelpful and uninformative. On top of that, the nurse was apathetic and seemed like it was a chore to even walk me to the room to see the Doctor. For a cancer center, I was very surprised at these attitudes and that they made me find my own way to the check out counter seeing as it was my first visit. I have already removed myself as a patient and would not recommend that anyone who would like professionals that actually care and want to help them seek treatment at this facility.

Awful. This office is VERY poorly managed. And I give doctors offices a very wide latitude. Especially right now during COVID. My husband was hospitalized in Dec 2020 for double pneumonia from COVID. About three weeks after his release his release he got worse again. Kept calling to get an appt but you have to leave a message for the “scheduler.” When they finally called they said he declined an appt. ??? What? He hadn’t declined anything as no one has contacted him. Then told him he had to wait 6 weeks post hospital release. He does not know how to advocate for himself because he’s never been sick before. I insisted he call back. Once again had to leave a message for the scheduler. When they finally called back they said they wanted him to wait, I said absolutely not. He cannot keep his 02 sats above 90 and if he does anything besides sit they plummet into the low 70’s. (We had already been to ER and they sent him back home after 3 hours) Even then they wanted him to do a telemedicine appt. what??? He once again told them what is happening then made the appt. Got a message the night before saying he could bring 1 advocate to the appt. when we arrived at 9am they said no one besides patient allowed inside. I completely understand the precautions and I respect them. We both had COVID in December. Exceptions should be made for people that they know cannot be contagious with COVID.
