Sholom Nadler attributes his initial interest in medicine to caring for his grandfather as a child. His grandfather would fall and frequently scrape and bruise himself, and Sholom liked helping him managing these injuries and felt great joy in helping others heal. Also, growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Sholom was a part of a tight-knit community that stressed the value of helping others. It was these experiences that contributed to his desire to help others through pursuing a career in medicine. Before becoming a nurse, however, Sholom was a rabbi. He worked in an assisted living facility and enjoyed spending time with the seniors there. He eventually went back to school to pursue a healthcare career and receives great satisfaction work...
