My husband and I would like to thank Dr. Kamal Patel, Dr. Karishma Patel, and their staff at Desert Inn Smiles for their highly professional, kind, warm and efficient work manner that we have experienced. Their friendly and attentive demeanor put us at ease and comfort while under an extreme anxiety towards dental surgeries.
I recently had a couple of dental implant surgeries done by Dr. Kamal Patel. Those were complicated procedures that required bone graft and sinus lift. My gratitude to Dr. Kamal Patel for providing me a quick painless procedure. I recovered almost immediately without using further pain medication. Furthermore, I enjoyed a speedy healing within a couple of days. Dr. Kamal Patel, Dr. Karishma Patel and their team are absolutely amazing !

2. The staff was very warm and friendly. As soon aa I walked in they acknowledged my presence immediately. I haven’t been to the dentist in about 8 years. I had a root canal done incorrectly in California and put off dealing with it. Well I started having very intense pain. They fit me in same day for an appointment. Knowing I had extreme dental anxiety, they took so much time and care into helping me. I look forward to fixing my teeth now. About a year ago, I had full mouth dental implants done at this clinic, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The results are amazing, and my smile looks natural and beautiful.

I’m especially grateful to Dr. Karishma Patel and Dr. Kamal Patel. They are incredibly skilled, professional, and caring. From the first consultation to the final result, they took the time to explain every step clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and confident throughout the entire process.

They seem to invent dental issues when second opinions clearly indicate those dental issues diagnosed by the dentist are not at all a concern. They made me think I had decay and horrible oral hygiene when I brush and floss after each meal and waterpik daily. The supposed decay was my gums shrinking back from the crowns due to age and Desert Inn Smiles said I needed 3 crowns, root canal, etc. A neighbor said they were overpriced and dishonest and I thought them wrong until they tried to get me to pay $5200 for unneeded dental work. My teeth and wallet have never felt better since leaving their care.

Took my two daughters here for check up and cleaning. We had a GREAT experience. Office is very nice and super clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Dr Karishma was so nice. The kids loved her. I've been a very satisfied patient of Dr. Karishma Patel for more than 15 months.
We've been doing some major restoration work on my smile. Just finished a visit where we were completing some veneers and Dr.Patel said that the new teeth were not up to her standards. Extremely Disappointed – A Humiliating Experience

I had a deeply upsetting and humiliating experience at Desert Inn Smiles with Dr. Karishma Patel. I have a long history of white coat syndrome—a condition where my blood pressure spikes in medical settings due to anxiety. I've lived with this for over 20 years and always check my BP before appointments to share with the provider.

During my visit, I initially declined the in-office BP check (as I usually show my pre-recorded results), which I know is part of my patient record. The assistant called in Dr. Patel, and from the moment she entered, her tone was stern and lacking empathy. While I eventually agreed to the BP check, she seemed to interpret my explanations as argumentative—despite me trying to explain my condition.

What followed was a shocking escalation. I repeatedly told her I was not trying to argue and that I was already complying. I even asked multiple times to "start over" and move forward respectfully. But she continued to speak over me, insisting I was being difficult, and ultimately told me I would no longer be seen by her or anyone in the clinic. She stated she was the owner and refused to continue.

I left in tears. Her reaction was not only unprofessional but deeply lacking in compassion—particularly for someone with known anxiety in medical settings. I went in seeking care while in pain and left feeling dismissed and humiliated.

If you struggle with anxiety or white coat syndrome, I would strongly advise seeking care elsewhere. This experience has left me shaken and disheartened.

This is the coolest Dentist office I ever visited. Contemporary furniture in waiting room with white couch and beige accent chairs; Zen music video on the TV; and Staff is super nice. Thought was put into patient office design: hooks to hang your purse (always hate when I am in patient rooms constantly trying to figure out where to sit my purse); sunglasses to protect your eyes from exam lights; cold? Blankets are available, hi-tech equipment with all the latest gadgets to examine your teeth from every angle; and while waiting for the Doctor, you can watch Netflix (how cool is that??). But the wait is very short and Dr. Karishma Patel is incredibly smart and incredibly kind. She explains your dental care in an easy-to-understand way and devises for you a budget conscious dental plan. I just moved to Las Vegas and feel lucky I found this dental practice.

This is a long overdue review. I have been a patient for about 2 years of the husband/wife team of Dr Karishma and Kamal Patel who took over the dental practice at Desert Inn Smiles. I’m glad that at this stage in my life, when the worst dental treatment is needed, I am under their care for my surgery and implant procedures. The office uses the latest in technology, the office and dental staff are warm and professional. Dr Karishma and Dr Kamal exudes so much warmth, compassion and know-how that my interaction with them seems very personalized, especially since I am a cardiac patient requiring more precautionary measures for my dental procedures. I’ve been through many dental treatments in my lifetime and I’m so thankful for the exceptional patient experience with the dental restorations done. I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Dr. Karishma Patel and Dr. Kamal Patel! My tooth pain was unbearable, to the point where it was affecting every aspect of my life. After my wife posting about my terrible tooth pain on a FB group, Dr. Karishma Patel responded almost instantly, offering me an appointment first thing the next morning.

I have been a patient at this facility for almost 5 years. All I can say is good things about this place. The staff (from the Dentists, Dental Hygienists, & Dental Assistants to the front desk staff) are all friendly, professional, & helpful. There has been a change in ownership of the practice since I have been there, but Dr. Karishma Patel and her husband have managed to maintain the integrity and quality of care that the previous provider had implemented. The facility is up to date with the latest technology & the providers are very in touch with their patients. They genuinely care for you. I’m not big on leaving reviews but I wanted to take the time to thank Dr. Kamal and his team! I really appreciate the fact that after visiting so many dentists trying to get an opinion on the tooth pain I have been experiencing in the last 3 weeks, Dr. Kamal was the only one who was able to explain to me clearly and honestly and really took the time to assess the pain I’m experiencing. He explained everything I needed to know before I decided to have extraction procedure. He’s the only dentist I approached brave enough to successfully extract my oddly positioned wisdom tooth but took a careful approach prior to performing the procedure. I wish you all the success as you’re great at what you do! I’ll see you all in 2 weeks for post op visit.

I was very satisfied with the way I was treated by the staff and Dr. Patel. Came in for my yearly teeth cleaning and checkup. The Dental Hygienist Aubrie did a fantastic job with no discomfort during the cleaning. Before the practice was sold the previous dentist was great. This new dentist deserves to have this business taken away from her! She allows her employees to treat patients absolutely positively horribly and in a threatening manner!!!!
This was the single worst experience I have ever had in any medical office or customer service environment in my 57 years on this planet!!!!
RUN as fast as you can away from this office! Unless you want to be overcharged, have your time wasted because they refuse to do the services that you made the appointment for! Because the costs were lower with the previous owners!!
I was trying to have a conversation with the owner/dentist/doctor when one of her employees became threatening and loud with me and she did absolutely positively nothing to stop him!

The doctor was so nice to take me as a new emergency patient right before a holiday weekend. She did a great job fixing a broken veneer that was not such an easy fix to begin with. I recently had the pleasure of having my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Kamal and I must say... what an experience. I was nervous. I had been told for a couple years now by various dentists that it was time, but I brushed it off.

After having a couple routine crowns done by Dr. Karishma and a couple cleanings with their super awesome hygienist Aubrie, I gained the trust to full send and have all 4 extracted at once.

Extremely happy I did!!! The experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff ensured that I was comfortable throughout, frequently checking on my well-being and addressing any concerns I had. Brandon (and the laughing gas) had me busting up and it's evident that they genuinely care for their patients' well-being. Post extraction, Dr Kamal made an effort to ensure I knew proper preventative procedures to avoid aggravation / dry socket and checked in frequently. It's now day 7 after my operation and the pain is virtually gone!

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kamal, Dr. Karishma and the whole Desert Inn Smiles team for teeth extractions and any other dental procedures. Their exceptional expertise, gentle demeanor, and commitment to patient care set them apart. I am grateful for the flawless extraction experience and I give them my highest recommendation. Five well-deserved stars!!!

Great dentist and wonderful caring office! I went in due to pain and apparently it was from a bad temporary bridge from another dentist. Dr. RJ was so kind and took his time explaining everything. He was able to fix the issue during this appointment. No more throbbing or pain in my mouth! Friendly staff. Dr R.J. explained very well and in detail every photo that was taken of my teeth and the xray images. He addressed some dental issues that my previous dentist did not mention I had. Dentist was very accommodating and explain my situation in a way that I can understand it. The equipment are very modern and up to date. The only thing is I never have my teeth polished before my cleaning I was a new patient . I did not question it because I thought maybe there's a good reason for it? My husband and I have been patients to Desert Inn Smiles for some time but we have noticed that their care and concern has diminished. On 9/1/2022, my husband was in Desert Inn Smiles for a crowning. This procedure should have taken only one hour but the whole procedure took nearly three hours, by then the anesthetic had wore off. Dr RJ did not ask if my husband was in discomfort, just explained that the oven was left off and there were technical troubles with some of the equipments and hence the delay. During the treatment for the crown replacement someone came in to look at the work on my husband's crown.
At no time was permission asked from my husband to let this unknown person into the treatment room. Unethical! It is time for us to look for another Dentist.

I’ve had just deep rooted anxiety since I was a child going to the dentist. I mean..MAD anxiety. I got my first crown with Desert Inn Smiles and expected a full meltdown and pain but I have never felt so at ease at a dentist office in my life. I’ll have to go back in for another crown but I’m confident in going on my own with zero anxiety about the process. The whole staff is so genuinely caring and gentle from check in to check out and the care and technology they had really blew me away (the Netflix while you wait wasn’t bad either).
