Dr Kim and his team have been treating me for over 6 years now. Excellent results keeping my bulging disc. Shot deaden the nerve every 4-6 months with excellent pain management in between. No opioids needed as long as we stay on top of things.
Got my shot in office this time.

I was really apprehensive about going to a doctor to see about my right shoulder. This visit was a good experience. I set up an appointment for 9/23/2026 and was asked to call the main office as they had a few questions on 9/22. It tool about 20 minutes to actually speak with someone and they wanted my insurance information. I gave them the information then was told that I had checked the box saying that I was going to pay cash and I must have done this by mistake. They told me that I would have to reschedule my appointment since I was going to use my insurance versus paying cash and that the next appointment was several weeks away. I asked why I could not keep my original appointment but was told that it had to be cancelled. Very strange since I acknowledged via an appointment link that I would be there the next day but was given no explanation. Very poor scheduling and very poor customer service and I will g to another practice.

Using the online process to get an appointment was very frustrating . I tried several times and it would not work. I had to call and sit on hold a long time to actually get my appointment at the correct time. I received a follow up email confirming my appointment which also informed me that I was going to get another follow up email that would give me forms to fill out before I showed up. I never got the second email. When I called to talk to someone about getting the second email and filling out the forms I was told to call back and talk to someone from scheduling. Scheduling never answered the phone, but I was given the option of having them call back when someone was available, so I chose that option. No one never called back. I repeated this process the following day and had to leave my number again for a callback which once again never happened. Administratively I graded this group with an F. Once I got in and saw the doctor I was treated very well and was very happy with the results. I give the doctors and the nurses a A for their efforts. They did send me 5 separate emails informing me that if I canceled my appointment less than 24 hours from my appointment I would be charged $50. Just know that if you can last long enough to get by the incompetent administrative system you will get great care.

It was a quick procedure as I had an outpatient epidural steroid injection at L4-5. There was no verbal verification of my birthday or first and last names before the procedure. The patient after care instructions were thrown on a chair for me to read, not one person verbally told me my aftercare and it made me wonder about patients who had visual, language, or reading problems and how they would know what to do. There was no opportunity to ask questions as everyone was rushed for the next patient. (I believe I overheard there were 40+ procedures scheduled), and he did not want to tell me how the procedure went, or talk about what I could expect. It had an “assembly line” type feel (like most care in the Vegas valley). Perhaps making a slightly less profit, seeing a couple less patients, and spending a few minutes with each patient would render safer and improved patient care. I feel good, and the actual procedure was fine however and I will likely be back.

I was referred as a STAT case from Elite Rapid Care in severe pain, and Dr. Kenneth King at Desert Orthopedic Center provided exceptional care from the moment I arrived. He took in-office X-rays, thoroughly explained my displaced left ankle fracture and ligament damage, and immediately casted it to provide relief.

Dr. King is truly one of a kind—extremely professional, compassionate, and thorough. My follow-ups were just as seamless, progressing from a cast to a boot, then into a brace, and they even offer on-site physical therapy. He truly listens: he noticed my fixed knee on that same injured leg, heard my concerns, and connected me with Dr. Bradley Wallis at the Orthopaedic Institute of Henderson. Dr. Wallis was equally amazing, and my surgery was scheduled within two weeks. The clinic was clean, scheduling was fast (getting me in within days both times), and Dr. King’s immediate support staff was fantastic.

The only serious issue was the X-ray technician, who was rude on both visits and urgently needs training on how to handle patients in excruciating pain. Forcing a patient with a displaced fracture and a fixed knee to stand without any compassion or bedside manner is unacceptable, and the clinic needs to address this.

Despite that experience, Dr. King’s clinical skill and empathy are unmatched. I voted Desert Orthopedic Center for the 2026 Best of Las Vegas, and I highly recommend Dr. Kenneth King to anyone needing top-tier orthopedic care.

I had such a great experience at this office! From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was amazing—professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind.

I came in for my hammer toe thinking it was just a consultation, and he took action immediately right there in the office. My toe already feels better and the swelling has gone down.

What really impressed me is that his first course of action WASN'T surgery. He didn't exaggerate my condition to push an operation. He was honest that I have a very light hammer toe with inflammation in the joint. He treated it with a steroid injection and said we would try that twice before even considering any other work. That honesty means everything.

He did everything with a smile and you can tell he genuinely cares. Young, happy, energetic, and ready to actually fix the issue. I can't say enough good things about him. I will be recommending Dr. King at Desert Orthopedics to all my family and friends in Henderson and Las Vegas!

Dr. Baldauf is great. The office staff is very friendly. However, the call queue is ridiculous! I waited 45 minutes for my call to be answered. To leave a voicemail, you have to call ANOTHER NUMBER! Making an appointment is also ridiculous. I have a hectic schedule. Often requires me to change appointments. For some reason, my appointments were only available on Thursdays! I ended up having to wait two months and go to another location for a follow-up appointment. Unfortunately, I cannot go somewhere else as this was a follow-up appointment. 👎🏻

Very efficient intake process. Xrays in office are very convenient. Dr. Bauldof was wonderful and actually listened to me about my problems I have been having with my knee (unlike Crovetti office that just wanted to inject me with the equivalent of temporary fix bandaids for several years). Would not recommend Dr. Chad Hanson to anyone. He came highly recommended throughout the medical community, however he hands down has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have come across. His staff/team are inefficient. I came in for my consultation and brought all of my extensive testing and all pertinent information. I had told his staff a minimum of 6 times between my visits with Dr. Hanson. His staff did absolutely nothing to obtain those records, despite having access and Dr. Hanson going to that hospital to operate. The “mandatory” X-ray prior to my actual consultation is a ridiculous money making technique desert ortho forces patients to do. With all the testing I brought in, there was absolutely no need for an X-ray. I attempted to decline the X-ray and was told if I did not do it, then I would not be seen.

With regard to my actual visits with Dr. Hanson, he treated me as a nuisance and could not have been more disinterested. Every single visit, Dr. Hansen did not know my mechanism of injury, despite it being documented by his medical assistants. He kept mentioning a different mechanism of injury and I continually had to correct him. Zero trust in a surgeon who knows absolutely nothing about how I sustained my injury and showed nothing but indifference towards that. My first visit, he was very apathetic about everything. He ordered additional testing of which other doctors and surgeons said was useless, as my other testing was much more sensitive to what Dr. Hanson was looking for, and was a time wasting technique. I told his staff EXACTLY where my insurance is contracted with for the imaging ordered. What did his staff do? Order the test to a radiology facility my insurance is not contracted with. When I called to tell his staff this, they sent out the order to more radiology facilities my insurance is not contracted with. My PCP had to get the prior authorization for the test and sent it to the contracted radiology facility. The level of incompetence from DOC is something I have not seen with other providers’ offices.

Then during another visit, Dr. Hanson spent the visit consumed with reading my past operative reports that I had to physically bring in because his incompetent staff failed repeatedly to obtain the records they have access to. Dr. Hanson told me he wanted to do surgery and certain things he wanted to do during surgery. He dismissed all of my questions and repeatedly told me to “look it up.”

His surgery scheduler came in to schedule my surgery and was incredibly pushy to schedule me at Desert Ortho’s surgery center instead of one of the hospitals he operates at and I am comfortable going to, given the extent of the surgery. Again, money making technique. Dr. Hanson losing out on hospital fees, when he could have done the surgery at his practice’s surgery center.

I left my last visit in tears and more confused than ever. Being told to look up the details of my surgery instead of taking the time to explain what he was planning to do is absolutely unacceptable behavior. I have heard from others this is not the first time Dr. Hanson has been rude to patients. I have heard from other doctors whom have been patients of Dr. Hanson that he has a terrible bedside manner, despite being a good surgeon. That instilled no faith in Dr. Hanson. It took another very reputable orthopedic surgeon sitting down with me during his free time, at no cost to me or my insurance, to explain everything Dr. Hanson wanted to do. Needless to say, I did not proceed with surgery with Dr. Hanson and sought out a secondary opinion.

I truly would give Dr. Hanson and his staff zero stars if I could. If he is too preoccupied with his triathlons, his work with the Raiders and some work with the Golden Knights, then don’t bother seeing patients in clinic. It was very clear during my visits he could not even be bothered with another clinic patient.

Dr. Lawrence Huff is great, he did a partial shoulder replacement on me. I recently was in to see him due to losing some range of motion and wanted some new X-rays done. The replacement is still in really good shape!

Understand, Dr. Huff did the procedure over 10 years ago and I was in my 30’s when it was done, means one thing…… Dr. Huff does amazing work. Dr. Huff is kind and takes his time with patients and does not try to run out the door like other doctors sometimes do.

Dr Huff at Desert Orthopedic Center is phenomenal! I was nervous being referred to a specialist thinking surgery was inevitable. Dr Huff took his time listening, asking questions and answering questions as well. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and thoroughly explained things to me. Turned out surgery wasn't inevitable and hopefully when I go back things improve and surgery could be avoided all together...Fingers crossed. Lots of options given for care but all but one underperformed. An unnessecary procdure was approved, then doctor misread results on another and wanted me to repeat the test. On another visit, I needed to use their scanning device for an orthodic and every time I showed up, the device was in another office location. I set 3 total appointments and am still waiting.

The entire experience was awesome! Scheduling was easy, location is convenient and there is lots of parking. Dr. King is pleasant and friendly; he removed my “dead” toenail in a quick and painless manner. Waited an hour and a half just to get to an exam room. Asked some staff if they were behind, no one knew. After put in a room, another 15 minutes. Doc spent about 5-7 minutes with me. Wouldn't go over my MRI with me. Seemed in a huge hurry. Are you kidding? Pretty much in tears by the time I got to the car.

Dr Huf is the best!!!
Honest. He was my second opinion.
First told me my rotary cuff had a very largre tear. 6 weeks in a sling and 3 to 6 months therapy. May need donor tissue to repair.
Dr Huf recommended a steriod shot 4 to 6 weeks PT and good chance that would do it.
No surgery unless this did not work.
On day 3 my shoulder already feels 76 % better from the shot. Cant wait to start PT.

I have had a back issue since 2022. I just moved here from NJ.

I came here on September 29th, 2025 because my back was flaring up

I met with Doctor Lee and explained the history, and asked for an epidural.

The doctor wanted an up to date MRI. I explained I am a big guy and very claustrophobic I asked for full sedation. apparently he ignored that request and gave me some diazepam. He also prescribed physical therapy.

I went to my PT appointment. The therapist didn't do a damn thing with me except give me a paper with exercises to do in a pool. He never took me back and treated me. He pretty much dismissed me as being to large for his equipment. Back in NJ I was able to get PT without a problem.

I went home and did the prescribed exercise till mid November when the weather got to cold to use a pool.

I tried to do the MRI in early January and was unable to do it. The diazepam didn't do anything.

Now they want me to go for a sedated MRI, which is what I asked for originally on September 29th, 2025.

The earliest appointment for the sedated MRI is May, five months from now.

If the doctor had listened to my request on 9/29 I would be getting my MRI now, not 5 months from now.

I have seen other doctors here for my foot and knee and they were great. The Orthopedic I saw for my spine, not personable at all. I felt like a number that had to be seen and sent on my way as soon as possible. The same goes for the Physical therapist that couldn't be bothered.

As of 1/22/26 I have to wait to see if they can get me the MRI sooner.

Doctors are supposed to want to help people. The doctors I saw for my foot and knee were amazing. The doctor my wife is seeing for her wrist, amazing.

I'm not at all happy with Orthopedic doctor I am seeing for my spine.
