For reference I’m going to be 32 soon and finally have found a doctor that genuinely has his patients best interest in mind. He’s kind, compassionate and caring. Dr Valera is also extremely honest about the pros and cons of medications and treatments and lets you have autonomy over your decisions. Many doctors in the past have been forceful and I’ve almost felt coerced in some ways into following their instructions even if it didn’t feel right for me.

IN RESPONSE TO OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT LONG WAIT TIMES- you learn to appreciate waiting a bit and realize it’s because your doctor is actually taking his time with each patient and not just running through a check list to rush people in and out. This office cares about quality and accuracy and tailors care to your needs. A doctor shouldn’t be in and out in five minutes.

The first time I saw him many months an ago, he immediately ordered all labs he thought were necessary to find out my body’s base line. We reviewed the results at the following appointment. Dr. Valera takes his time, makes sure to provide you with any and all relevant information and is very knowledgeable. All doctors should strive to be like this- we would have a lot less problems in our healthcare system if they were. I can’t thank Dr. Valera enough.

EDIT: I also have to applaud the ladies in the office. From the nurses in the front to the nurses in the back. They always make me feel comfortable, welcomed and handle all of my concerns with compassion. They’re super personable and kind. They administer my shots and I hate getting shots and they always give me a second to adjust before and after getting them. Thank you nurses 💕

Dr. Valera is amazing, I have been working with him over the past couple of years since moving to Las Vegas from Atlanta. Another Dr. in Washington State had put me on thyroid medication, mistakingly which could have really caused problems for me if continued. Luckily, Dr. Valera reviewed my blood tests again and was able to assist with exactly what I needed while going through menopause. He really helped a lot, and no more hot flashes. Love Dr. Valera, I have been seeing him for over two years and never have had an issue. He’s extremely attentive and listens to your concerns. He does take the time to understand and work on an appropriate response. He always asks me about my wife and how the kids are doing. He’s a note taker and is always typing during the visit. Which I appreciate since he can always follow up on previous visits.

Just tried to see about seeing a new doctor and called the office. The person who answered just said “yeah” and immediately put me on hold. There wasn’t even a greeting of saying “thank you for calling -business name- how can I help you?” Just an immediate yeah then cut to music! lol, well I guess I won’t bother here!

Everything needs improvement! This was our first visit to office and with a new physician. We arrived 15 minutes early. Our appointment time was 12:30pm. After 45 minutes waiting in the lobby with no updates from staff to how far behind the doctor is running, we were finally taken back into a room. At this time I asked how much longer it could be, and the staff member/receptionist informed us it would be at least an additional 30 minutes. The exam room was tiny room with no air flow at all. We were left there for an additional 45 minutes, no updates, no how are you doing, nothing. Finally at 2:00pm, we left the exam room and there were no staff/doctors to notice us in the hallways or at desks. We arrived at the front desk and the very pleasant but apathetic receptionist was notified we were leaving. She didn't seem surprised. Another patient waiting as we were leaving and said they have done the same thing to her at this office. This is an unacceptable way to run a practice and if this is the way his office is run at HIS direction, I can only imagine what his patients care is like. But we don't know because we never saw him and we WON'T be going back. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICAL PRACTICE - NEVADA INTERGRATED HEALTHCARE!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I made the mistake of reading all the reviews that he had of being the "BEST DOCTOR" and LET ME TELL YOU. I should have ran from the first visit.

WHAT A SHAME AS A DOCTORS OFFICE THEY ARE SO UNPROFESSIONAL. All the way from the DR to the LADIES in the front.

There's absolutely zero communication on when the doctor is running behind. They will schedule you an appointment and have you waiting hours to be seen or even for a SCHEDULED PHONE CALL APPOINTMENT and when you call to follow up about the appointment all they do is give you excuses on how the "doctor is running behind". I get running behind. My first initial face to face appointment I sat in the waiting room for over 2 HOURS until being seen. NO APOLOGY NO COMMUICATION. Then I had a follow up PHONE CALL A MONTH LATER that the doctor never called for our scheduled appointment until I called the office following up. Their response was "we normally send out texts when doctor is running behind." NEVER SENT ME ONE. 2nd follow up CALL APPOINMTMENT scheduled today 4/9 at 12:30pm... NO CALL, NO TEXT OF DOCTOR RUNNING BEHIND. So I called the office at 1:20 following up on my appointment - again the response is "doc is running behind" AGAIN NO TEXT, NO COMMUNCATION OF DOC RUNNING BEHIND!

They will send you thousands of reminder texts/emails of your appointment however do not further communicate about anything else. He provides the bare minimal for his patients and will just put you on medication after medication.

AVOID THIS PRACTICE. SAVE YOUR TIME & MONEY PLEASE!

Please dont go here they will turn you away if youre “too much”. They called the police on me which when talking to the police i was told to find a new primary as this one is completely unprofessional and did the bare minimal to treat their patients. I posted this a while back but they felt the need to comment on my post months after it being there to harass me when im just telling my side and how i was treated.

Needless to say we are experiencing an essential psychotropic medication shortage in the pharmacy world in Las Vegas (and around America).
That is very stressful as anyone can imagine, as there is no guarantee that the medication you are prescribed will in fact be available at said pharmacy. That is fact.
That being said—
The front desk ladies were SO wonderful, understanding and patient as I expressed the nature of my challenge over the phone to find a pharmacy that could dispense the type of medication I so desperately needed.
Each secretary/medical assistant helped work with me to find a pharmacy that could dispense stimulants and even altered my original Rx to another incredibly similar one so that I could be able to Start this essential therapy as soon as possible.
12/10, I would definitely recommend Dr. Amit Valera and his team of medical assistants to anyone else. Good medicine is hard to find these days, afterall.

Took my son to see Dr Valera, he was not their but Jenny nurse was fantastic for taking vitals and took detailed notes for Dr. Valera that was yesterday, to my surprise Dr Valera called me this afternoon and we spent 30+ minutes on the phone call on a Saturday, never had that happen before. My son is not sick but has some non urgent issues. I highly recommend this Doctor that shows very high standards and I have not even met him personally and consider him family. Leon Golden 👍

This office is terrible. Made an appointment. Exactly 5 days before appointment, with no notice or no call, they cancel my appointment saying that I did not provide paperwork. What a joke they are. Don’t waste your time with them! When I talked to them, they have no concern with patients. Only that you didn’t fill out paperwork (5 days ahead of your appointment), and do not call, text, tell you. They just cancel. They are the most unfeeling uncaring organization that you will come across. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Oh, and I forgot to mention how rude they are on the phone.

Dr. Valera is the best PCP I have had. He takes a comprehensive approach to health asking "how's life?" rather than just "what's wrong?". He also doesn't rush you in and out like some doctors I have been to.

Met with Dr Valera today and had a great experience. The scheduling process for my appointment was super easy and I was able to get in to see the doctor within 24 hours. Dr Valera listened to everything I said, had great bedside manner, and seemed to genuinely care. He promptly scheduled me for a prescription, ordered the blood work and I setup a follow up appointment for next week to go over everything. The entire process was very convenient and all around comforting. I’m a cash pay patient and feel the rates are reasonable.

Dr. Valera was very sweet and took his time to understand my health issues. I contacted him when I got Covid and he made sure I was getting everything I need to get healthy soon.
He made made right decision on right time and here I am all healthy and happy with my health.
