After 9 years of having a temporal lobe brain tumor and no new imaging or testing in one 5 minute appointment asking me simple questions about my symptoms Sandra Oviedo has claimed and documented I have a frontal lobe brain tumor! Not sure which is the miracle that she can diagnose this from staring at her computer screen and nothing else or that she didn’t become a surgeon and cut open the wrong part of my brain because of her carelessness!

I just wanted to know what was the delay with my prescription but finally got to the pharmacy 48 hours later.. tried to leave a message for your nurse and her mailbox is full. Apparently she doesn’t answer her messages so when you try to leave a message, it says mailbox is full and hangs up on you.

While the nurses at the front desk were delightful and friendly—the second star is for them—with Dr. Shanker Dixit, specifically, I felt unheard and uncomfortable during my first and only meeting with him. I had just finished describing my symptoms on potential seizures I’d been experiencing for the last two years. He said that my description didn’t fit the criteria and would require testing. When I tried to mention a particular potential diagnosis that I had been researching (that even the general doctor who recommended him to me had also theorized may be the answer), he practically shouted over me to say, “I’m the one giving the diagnosis, not you.”

Maybe it was meant as a joke, but I don’t care frankly. I felt horrible afterwards and actually ended up having another episode due to the extreme stress of the interaction. I’m very curious and like to ask questions so I can be an active participant of my own health journey rather than just blindly accept whatever I’m given. I’m also quite socially anxious. All this to say, I expect professionalism. Especially in a setting as uncomfortable as any kind of hospital/healthcare facility. That would never be the right reply to a concern of your patient, much less one who already doesn’t trust the healthcare system.

Well to start. The female front staff people are just there to get a paycheck they don't have a heart for the patients they can be very rude and dismissive! Ask for the male doctor his bedside manners are very poor. I went in for a nerve conduction study and I can't tell you what he looks like, because he came in stuck me and it was very painful! He never said hello, never asked how my day was, never introduced himself just did the procedure and disappeared. I ask for the nurse practitioner, I enjoyed her bedside manners she was very helpful and answered all of my questions. The place could also use a good cleaning.

This last appointment was very good. I was on time and being called back 40 minutes late was annoying but could have been because my scans were being reviwed. Sandra was clear about what was going on with me an altered my medication that made it clear how I was to take it. I visited Dr. Robert Korcal who had none of my records since 2022. I have been going here for years. At 1st it was rough to establish a bond so I only have to go in once a year like my old doctor that retired and I get that. Now its easy I make an appointment once a year get my meds get my blood orders because nothing has changed and am in and out. The doctors are great and nice. I was referred to this clinic by my neurosurgeon. In the past, I hadn't found very good neurological care in Vegas, but Dr. Dixit and Sandra have made a huge difference in my life. I have suffered from migraines for 50 years. Care was ineffectual, IF the doctors took me seriously at all. I went to them after an ER visit for a 7 day migraine that I could not break. They immediately scheduled Botox and nerve blocks to help combat my daily migraines. Both Dr. Dixit and Sandra treat me with great care and respect. My quality of life has improved. I now average 2-3 migraines a week, but that is a significant improvement over what it was. I know i am heard and my complaints taken seriously. Migraines are detrimental mentally as much as physically, and the doctors truly understand that. I am grateful to Neurology Center of Las Vegas for the excellent care I have received over 8 years.

My primary care doctor referred me to this office for a scan. Not only did I wait ONE month for this appointment, I show up to my appointment today to be told they don’t even do scans here. I feel this place is a scam. They called me to tell me my deductible was 390.00 for a test. They said I had met my deductible so instead of 420.00 it was 390.00. They just did the test on my hands and told me to come back a few days later to do the test on my feet and today they tell me the deductible is another 390.00. What happened to meeting my annual deductible? Also the technician was very transactional not engaged and seemed not wanting to be there. Dr. Drixit came in touched my triceps said my muscles are good and I have a light case of carpal tunnel but not enough to require treatment. When I asked questions he seemed to be put off and told the technician to refer me to a hand surgeon. Needless to say I left without paying another 390.00 and did not finish the testing
