I am writing this review years after a HORRIBLE and almost deadly experience. Dr Gururaj performed my first Ablation in 2019. It lasted 1 month. Because I was only 42 I was always treated as a second though, even though I was diagnosed with V-Tachycardia. Everytime I would have an appt I would wait hour and a half and he would spend 4 minutes with me… then rush out to a “more important” patient. His solution was always another ablation! Second Ablation lasted 10 days. Next appt… “Let’s do ANOTHER Ablation!” Third ablation lasted 4 days and my heart efficiency was down below 40%. I finally talked to some people and they sent me to Doctor Narulo who they call “The Fixer” because so many of Gururaj patients don’t get helped despite thousands of dollars spent.
Turns out I was misdiagnosed by Gururaj and he was poking around in the wrong chamber of my heart!!! 3 TIMES!!! The misfiring nerve was on the papillary muscle and Narulo took the time to catch it. I would have died if I did another Ablation with Gururaj.
I know that some people get healed by Gururaj but if you are not a typical case, you will get ignored and discarded. I got lucky with another doctor and can’t imagine how many of his boats I paid for during my trial.

My primary care physician suspected I had POTS and suggested I find a cardiologist who was knowledgeable about the condition. A medical assistant there at NV Heart and Vascular recommended Dr. Gururaj for POTS and I was told he deals with the condition all the time. However, at my appointment with him he was completely dismissive, rushed through the appointment, would only listen to about 3 symptoms, told me my symptoms had nothing to do with POTS (which they do), told me heart rate has nothing to do with POTS (the "T" in POTS literally stands for tachycardia which has everything to do with heart rate), told me there was something else going on that wasn't POTS. I somehow was still able to get a tilt table test ordered despite him being adamant that I didn't have POTS; took about 3 months to get the test (which isn't bad at all for that test); the doctors who performed the test told me right away that I had a positive test which meant I had POTS; however when Dr. Gururaj wrote his report, he stated that my heart rate dropped during the tilt table test which indicated vasovagal syncope...but according to the results from the hospital my heart rate did not drop during the test, it increase. My point is, he doesn't listen, he rushes through things, he is dismissive, he is inaccurate, he is invalidating, and he cost me several months of proper treatment. His ego can not handle it if you show up to an appointment with knowledge or questions about a condition that he himself did not suggest. In addition, he told me that for the tilt table test I needed to be off my meds for 3 days, so I stopped taking my meds before the test as instructed (which was brutal), and then they tried to cancel the test with 18 hours notice...I had to demand that they keep my scheduled appointment especially since I had been off my medications for days already. I later found out that they were trying to cancel the test because they failed to get the proper information to my insurance for a prior authorization. Just a terrible experience all around and I do not recommend this doctor or this practice.

Dr. Gururaj is a wonderful doctor. He performed the heart ablation few years ago. I was very nervous but he assured me that I’ll be cured and left me with a zero doubts. My recovery was quick and I haven’t had an issue ever since. I’m grateful for the doctors like him. Bless him. He saves lives.

Dr Gururaj is going to do an ablation in a few months and we can't help feeling worried and nervous, however he has the experience, knowledge, genuine concern and gave us answers to a lot of questions that made the upcoming procedure more understanding and less worrisome. He makes you feel that you are in great care and the procedure will be precisely done with care and be very successful . Keeping positive and soon will be feeling better. Thank you Dr Gururaj in advance. :)
