Doctor Jimmy Diep is a great and caring Doctor, he takes the time to go over my chart and answer any questions that I have and when its time for testing he puts in the order right away, I am very pleased with his profession and the care he shows. The staff are very friendly and quick to get things done, No sooner I walked in the office they called me in the room. I love that. I recommend him to anyone that needs a great cardiologist

My specialist had retired and I was transferred to Dr Jimmy Diep as my replacement specialist without my knowledge. So I continued my care with Dr Diep and from the first visit I was not pleased with his bedside manner he would cut me off when I would speak and he would also rush through the visit as if he was always in a hurry, but I still tried to give him a chance. I then needed to have a follow up visit with him and he had no recent appointments at the office I usually see him at so I scheduled a visit with him at his other office that was much further out. On my way there I ran into traffic, so I called the office and they said you have a 10 minute grace period and so he will still see you. I arrived 5 minutes late, still within the grace period to be told that he had already left the office. That was the final straw for me and so I called the office and asked if I could switch my specialist to one that I did my research on and the office said yes. I received a call from the office today and and was told I couldnβt see another provider until I see Diep because he had ordered a ultrasound and he is the only one that can provide me with the results and that in the notes it said I didnβt make it to the appointment within the grace period. I said this is not true and the person that was telling me this said Diep waits for his patients and I said he didnβt wait for me and the notes are false and I will find me a new office and specialist because I donβt trust Diep with my care. Diep has 2.3 stars out of 5 and that speaks for itself.

Cold, no bed side manners, didnβt show any care. My BP was high he didnβt say anything about it. He snaps at me with an attitude every time I asked a question. I mentioned to him that I was feeling a heat feeling on my aortic in my neck and my back was hurting and my chest and he said to me that he was a heart doctor and not a back doctor. Everyone knows that women when they start having heart problems it hurts in the back. He was rude and I never want to see this doctor again. He also said that having calcification on the aortic is normal. No need to worry. Did he get his doctor degree in one year? Avoid him. He was out of the room in seconds.

I normally donβt write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.
I saw Dr. Jonny (Jimmy) Diep regarding my heart failure follow-up and recent echocardiogram. Unfortunately, my visit was extremely disappointing. His bedside manner was cold, dismissive, and lacking empathy. After telling me that my ejection fraction had not improved (still 25β30%), he offered no hope, no plan, and no encouragement β just, βsee me in a year.β
As someone who has worked hard through two rounds of Cardiac Rehab, improved my resting heart rate from 100 to 70, and can now walk-run for 40 minutes plus complete additional aerobic exercises for a total of 90 minutes, three times a week, I expected a doctor who would at least recognize effort and support progress. Instead, his words and tone were discouraging. If I were someone easily defeated, that appointment could have made me give up β but I refuse to.
Ironically, thereβs a poster in his office encouraging patients to stay positive and keep a good attitude β yet his approach does the opposite. Patients facing heart failure need doctors who listen, educate, and encourage hope. Sadly, that was not my experience with Dr. Diep.
Iβve since chosen to continue care under another heart failure specialist who is positive, proactive, and genuinely invested in my progress. I hope this review encourages this practice to re-evaluate how they communicate with patients, especially those fighting for their health and their lives.
