Every single time I go to see Dr Jones I am greeted by a smiling optometrist’s assistant. I seldom have to wait and if I do, it’s usually under 5 minutes. I love Dr. Jones and his office staff! I had to bring my two little kids with me today and he was so patient as one of my little ones was getting tired. He was efficient and quick and also very kind! He didn’t make it seem at all like my kids were a bother! Or course I did my best to keep them occupied and contained, but they’re still little. A mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do to get her glasses! I couldn’t find care for them today and I was so stressed about bringing them with me, but it worked out great! The staff member at the front who had black curly hair was incredibly kind and efficient too. She had a welcoming smile and was professional and warm. Such a great office! After putting off an exam and getting new contacts for far too long and being reluctant to replace my prior eye doctor (loved her but WAY too far from my place), Dr. Jones and his crew checked all the boxes. The online completion of new patient paperwork was super convenient, my appointment started on time if not a little early, the support staff was incredible and I found Dr. Jones to be very personable and willing to explain things like digital images, etc. in layman’s terms. The reason I gave a 3 star is because his new staff is rude, don't return phone calls, or bother even calling when your contacts or glasses arrive, seem irritated when I would ask for help when picking out my glasses. I have been seeing Dr. Jones for well over 14 years. As a matter of fact, I like him so much that despite moving out of state (and experiencing terrible service, no one could get my high prescription right), when I moved back, I managed to find him again!
The staff is wonderful, friendly, they always seem happy and they remember their clients. One receptionist even remembered me from before I'd moved away, 4 years later!
My daughter came with me for her first eye exam last week and I was so impressed with how they do eye exams for little kids. She can be a bit of a fraidy cat with new experiences, but she'll probably have my eye issues so I hoped she would have a good experience, and she did! I made an appointment as a new patient and responded to their email with the time I would like my appointment to be. I never heard anything back, so I assumed my appointment was scheduled. I show up and they have not added me to their schedule and have another patient at the time I was scheduled for my appointment. Cleared my entire day to work around their suggested appointment time, and their solution is I wait the entire time of the patient they double booked over my time to be “squeezed in” to see the doctor. Not interested in having my exam be rushed and having them act like me being a customer is a problem they have to fix.
