100% do not recommend this dentist office. They didn’t have a dental hygienist so Dr. Fernando did the cleaning. He was terrible. He only used a sonic pick and butchered my gums during his cleaning/exam process. I have never bled so much from any dental work ever. The assistant then proceeded to “rinse” out my mouth with air after a quick tooth polish but there was so much blood from the Dr. destroying my gums that all I could do was spit blood, then the assistant handed me an empty cup and told me to finish rinsing after simply blowing air into my mouth which made no sense. I was confused so when I spit what seemed to be pure blood into the cup I had no choice but to rinse out my mouth at the sink with water. It’s worth noting that they never flossed my teeth either during my subpar cleaning. Additionally my mouth bled all the way home due to my gums being so destroyed. I get my teeth cleaned twice a year and floss and brush daily. All this blood was a direct result of poor dental practice by the dentist in my opinion based on my experience.

Top best outstanding dentist! Did not feel a thing having teeth pulled! This dentist is the best in Las Vegas. He is worth the drive to Rainbow across from Smiths. South Rainbow. Take lots of insurances and I tell you they are wonderful. I am scared of dentist and he is made me comfortable.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fernando for over 15 years since I moved to Las Vegas from NYC. I have found him as very experienced & excellent dental practitioner. I will say he’s one of the best local dentists in town. He’s very honest and treats his patients with TLC. His dental staff team are wonderful & knowledgeable. Office manager, Jackie, keeps you well informed from reminding you of upcoming appointment to billing transaction & insurance coverage. Dental assistant, Graciela, is thorough on doing panograph xrays & instinctively efficient of what instruments Dr. Fernando needs during a patient dental procedure. Highly recommended to visit Family Dentistry for your regular dental exams & treatments.

I really appreciate this office. Family Dentistry is refreshingly friendly and efficient. It is a small office focused patients and treatments.

Before finding Dr. Rene Fernando, I went to another office. It had all of the fancy equipment and was teaming with advertisements for all the trendiest dental treatments. I went in to have a broken filling fixed. Instead they presented me with a $1,600 deep cleaning treatment plan. They would not fix my filling until I completed the 4-visit cleaning.

Dr Fernando was able to book me as a new patient and fix the filling in a single 45-min visit. Family Dentisty did not care that I was not an existing patient. They focused on what I was asking, fixing my filling. After the Dr fixed my filling I asked to schedule a cleaning. I did not have to wait months. They scheduled me for a few days later. My cleaning was easy and thorough. They even were able to fix two other surface fillings during the same visit.

I appreciate Jackie, the office manager. She understands my insurance and was able to correctly explain it to me. She keeps my treatments affordable. I understand that last minute cancellations cost doctors and dentist lost revenue. Family Dentistry does not brow beat you about it. They don't threaten you with fees. They treat their patients with respect and in return I hope that all of their patients reciprocate that respect in kind.

Graciela, the dental technician, keeps you informed throughout your visit. She explains what she is doing and what will happen next. It is comforting to have a knowledgeable guide by your side providing transparency and encouragement.

Family Dentistry is a no-pressure, patient-focused service provider that inspires me to keep coming back (every six months) for years to come. Support your local businesses. They are treasures that you will miss if they disappear.

chipped my tooth, went in for repair and then 4 months after visiting this dentist his work fell apart, i call in to get them to fix his work, they reply by telling me i would need to pay $900 to fix what he should have fixed the first time i paid them when i went there. this place should not be allowed to practice, avoid this place and its fake reviews. what kind of dentist cant honor his own work???

I have been seeing Dr. Fernando for years and he is always fast, skilled, and honest in what he does. His office staff and hygienists are always friendly and understanding. The prices are very fair and most things were covered by insurance. I highly recommend Dr. Fernando and his practice and have even referenced my mother there.
