Hello! So, I’ve had terrible foot problems because I’m a Type II Diabetic. (And, I was a 32 year smoker.) Dr. McAllister and his staff are just fantastic. I’m not in any way being compensated for this short opinion piece I’m authoring to you, the general public. He operated on my right foot on Friday, September 27th, 2024. This was my second operation on my poor beleaguered right foot the first being in early August of this year performed by who, at least in my opinion, was a lessor surgeon here in town, who is also a DPM. Dr. McAllister has always been pragmatic and realistic with me while simultaneously always kind and genuinely caring. He maintains direct eye contact while both listening to, and speaking to you. Not one to make promises as so often the outcome(s) of Podiatric medicine treatment plans are heavily dependent on the actions or lack thereof, of the patient. What I’ve been most impressed with concerning Dr. McAllister is his readily apparent level of experience and skill. The only downside to of being a patient of Dr. McAllister’s are the apparent great many demands on his time although based upon my experience as his patient, he’ll never deliberately make those stressors apparent to you. (I’m a pretty perceptive empath…I usually have a pretty good idea what’s going on with most people I meet.) Anyway, great Doctor. Great man near as I’ve been able to perceive. I strongly recommend. For my family and friends, as well as yours.

Dr. Tyler McAllister at Sunrise Foot and Ankle is fantastic. I have never felt so strongly about a doctor after just one visit. After recently fracturing my left ankle, urgent care referred me here. Dr. McAllister gave me the green light to continue working as a School Crossing Guard, letting me bear weight as long as I wear my walking boot. Unfortunately, according to company policy and in the spirit of protecting me from myself, I can't return to work until the walking boot comes off.

Fast-forward a week: What happens when a guy who scored a 15 out of 99 in mechanical reasoning on the Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) in 7th grade tries to modify his own orthopedic boot for comfort?

Thankfully, Dr. McAllister squeezed me into his schedule the very next day. He strategically inserted a couple of foam pads, properly adjusted the air cells for a snug fit, and sent me home completely pain-free and happy. I will be seeing a lot more of Dr. McAllister for my recovery, thank you.
