Dr. Emily Schorr at Nvision provided excellent care for me after a YAG laser surgery that gave me dramatic improvements in my eyesight! This is a post cataract surgical procedure which occurs in some people like me. There’s a membrane behind your new lens which can sometimes thicken and makes it impossible to focus like you should. I recently learned about a procedure where a lens is placed inside the eye to improve vision, and I immediately thought, Sign me up! I underwent the intraocular lens procedure with Dr. Schorr, and the results have been absolutely amazing.

Before the surgery, my eyesight was terrible. I had reached a point where nothing seemed to make it better. The glasses I wore were practically magnifying lenses, and I hated wearing them. After the procedure, my vision improved dramatically—I can now see 20/20 in my right eye. While my left eye isn’t quite as sharp, it’s still much better than it was before.

I no longer need glasses during the day, though I wear a light prescription at night to make things a bit clearer. Overall, I’m incredibly happy with the outcome of this procedure.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Schorr. I just had EVO ICL surgery. I did not qualify for lasix or prk due to a thin cornea. Honestly very happy with this choice as it’s reversible if needed and doesn’t have dry eye complications. Surgery was very quick and they give you sedatives and pain medications so you don’t feel anything except some slight pressure. I was able to see right after the procedure however it was more comfortable to have my eyes closed. I took a very long nap and the next day which is today my vision is amazing! I just can’t believe how good it is less than 24 hours later! No pain at all. Just a mild ache and some halos that is very normal post eye surgery. The eye drops do sting right at first but it goes away quickly. Overall super happy with my experience and glad I opted to proceed with ICL surgery! Thank you Dr. Schorr!

“New Eyes” is the “New Future”, Dr Schorr removed cataracts from my left eye, and I was kinda nervous, as if any other surgery, it happened so fast, I was waiting for something big, so afterwards, waiting on the pain, I’m 3 days out, and still no pain, I can see clearer then before. Dr. Schorr performed cataract surgery on both my right and left eyes in June and July 2020. After having worn glasses for 35 years I had forgotten how great it was to be able to wake up in the morning and plainly read the digital numbers on the clock sitting on my dresser. Dr. Schorr performed a cataract removal, cornea transplant, and laser lens procedure on both eyes, two weeks apart. Now, three months after the surgery, I continue to experience excellent vision in both eyes with a greatly enhanced brightness level, enabling me to identify true colors, and generally improving my quality of life. I'm going to modify this review in fairness. It was originally a 1 star review. I was extremely disappointed with how the process of getting pre-qualified for Lasik was misrepresented. We were charged 250 for the consult (which I understood her reasons why that was outside of the insurance coverage and hold no malice for). She has said she will work on her communication and transparency, and I believe her. I don't attribute anything that happened to ill intent. It was just a catastrophic series of errors and bad judgement calls (that I do believe have lead to a reinvigorated sense of self correction). I always meant for this to be an honest review, and I believe it was. I believe Dr. Schorr has a lot of potential and all of us make mistakes. I think rejection phone calls MUST be handled better and the consult MUST be made with wiggle room built in. If we'd been given even the slightest notion that this operation was only 95% in the bag, I would have never made this review. The fact that my wife dutifully took off time the next morning, only to be told later that day she somehow wasn't a candidate (after nothing was even remotely conveyed that matched anything other than guaranteed candidacy), just frustrated us even more. Hopefully, this will be a footnote in an otherwise stellar career. Godspeed, Dr. Schorr.

Finding Dr. Emily Schorr and Schorr Vision has been such an important part of my journey back to feeling like myself again.

After five years of cancer treatment, including chemotherapy and three clinical trials, my body—and particularly the delicate tissue around my eyes—had been through a tremendous amount. Now that I am in remission, I have been very intentional about focusing on my health, wellness, and restoring the things that treatment affected along the way.

From my very first appointment, I knew Dr. Schorr was different. She is exceptionally accomplished, with an impressive academic background and extensive surgical experience in New York City, but what impressed me just as much was the time, thoughtfulness, and genuine care she gave me as a patient. She listened. She examined everything thoroughly. She explained what she was seeing and never made me feel rushed.

Her practice is beautiful and incredibly advanced, with state-of-the-art technology and her own surgical center within the building. Her entire team made me feel cared for from beginning to end.

What Dr. Schorr was able to do for me has genuinely been life-changing. She not only corrected my vision, but during the process identified and addressed tissue beneath my eyes that I had no idea had been compromised and could potentially have created problems for me as I aged. That level of attention and surgical judgment meant so much to me, especially after everything my body has been through.

I met Dr Schorr because our daughters were in the same PreK class. I got to know her as a super kind and caring person that would go the extra mile. She was one of the room parents for the class. When I found out she is also an ophthalmologist, I knew I had to come see her. And just as I expected, she puts the same care into her practice as she did in being a room parent. She thoroughly explained the recommended treatment (CLR) and made me feel comfortable with the whole process. Oh I should have started with the fact that the office looks and feels like a luxury spa. The staff is sooooooo nice and the equipment is super fancy. Gone are the days where the doctors blow that puff of air in your eyes. I wonder if that was actually necessary or if they just got a kick out of it 🤔. Anyway- I digress. If you’re thinking about correcting your vision and changing your life, your search is over! I'm about 5 days post surgery and my eyes are GREAT. I had the urge several times to take out my contact lenses before bed - except I wasn't wearing any...that was my real vision! i can legit SEE now. It's incredible. I can't thank her enough...but honestly - its not just her...its the whole team. I can tell she hired for a type of caring, patient (and funny) staff. They are all so kind. the office is so luxe - you won't want to leave. and they hide these SUPER cozy chairs in the back that they let you sit in before surgery. I asked if I could just have the surgery in that chair. i didn't want to get up. If one ever comes up missing...that would be a shame. 👀. but in all seriousness...if you've ever been on the fence about getting your vision corrected - let this be your sign - DO IT. DO IT NOW! call Dr. Schorr and let her tell you what she and the team can do. Oh - they have the fanciest machines imported from Germany and Italy. Its not often that pioneers have a complete success story.
Usually they end up with arrows in their backs.
I was fortunate enough to be Dr. Schorr's first patient in her new clinic. My 75 year old eyes needed serious help. Astigmatism, nearsightedness and cataracts in both eyes.
Dr. Schorr and her team explained all possible options, as well as features and benefits while I toured their facility, which has extensive state of the art equipment. She has an impressive
education, work experience, and most importantly, stellar reputation.
The day after my procedures ( both eyes, same day), all of my vision issues were corrected. I now have the sight of a 5 or 10 year old, and I can read small print on prescription bottles, etc.
Whites are very bright and colors are crisper and more defined. I cannot believe the immediate difference.
My only regret is because I have 20/20 vision, and will never need glasses, I will not need or have the opportunity to utilize the services and expertise of Dr. Schorr and her team again.

I searched and went to several different doctors, 4 to be exact. I called Schorr Vision and got an appointment right away. After walking into they're facility I was greeted by Andrew who was polite and knowledgeable of the cataract surgery which I needed performed. He explained the procedure to me and informed me how it was performed and what I should expect. I met Kylie who examined my eyes with proper care and answer all the questions I had asked about the examine. The vibes you get from the staff were the most amazing and the best I had received after visiting the 4 other eye facilities. I also had the opportunity to meet so many other awesome team members who names I did forget but I will not forget your faces and the kindness you showed me.I knew this is where I wanted to have my surgery. Once my examine was completed, I got to meet Dr. Schorr, she was the most professional and caring eye surgeon you would want to interact with for cataract surgery. She explained my eye examine, how the surgery would take place and what she would be doing during the surgery I arrived on my surgery date, which they allowed me to choose date and time, I was again greeted so nicely as always. I wasn't nervous, or had any doubts because I knew I was in the best hands with Dt. Schorr and that she would take care of me in the best way ever. I had my cataracts from both eyes removed at the same time and date, no pain, no worries, just made comfortable from the staff. I give this facility a 5 plus star and would definitely recommend this to any and everyone who is thinking or have thoughts of having cataract surgery. I didn't mentioned that they do call and check on you after your surgery. Shout out to Schorr Vision, you guys are the absolute best.....

I had LASIK with another surgeon two years ago, but I wanted to have my eyes thoroughly examined, and I’m so glad I found Dr. Schorr. If I’m being honest, I only wish I had found her before my LASIK surgery.

Dr. Schorr and her team were so kind, welcoming, and thorough. They took the time to explain everything, and I never felt rushed. My favorite part was one of the eye-dominance tests, where I got to use a fun little handheld plastic device (pictured!), which made the visit really interesting.

What stood out most was how much Dr. Schorr truly cared. She is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand my vision concerns and answer all of my questions. I left feeling confident and would highly recommend her!
