I don’t understand when a patient asks to see the doctor and they can pick and choose for whichever and whoever wants to see based of their insurance. When I start asking proper questions to the receptionist, she got upset and I asked for her name. she hang up on me
I made another phone call. I spoke to Jassiel and she refused to take my mom as a patient
I guess this office treat patients as customers
The doctor would get paid whether through insurance or pay cash. but apparently they don’t care. For that reason, you get this review!

I never had no issues with Dr. Fonte at all. He has been my doctor for quite awhile & I am grateful I have him as my cardiologist. I never had no issues with him at all. I feel he is very knowledgeable.

When I first met Dr. Fonte I found him a bit brusque and dismissive. However, I’ve come to realize while he may not be the hand-holding type, he is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and up to date on the best technology and practices. And let’s face it, if you need a cardiologist you definitely want to have a doctor who will steer you toward the best possible treatments. After landing in the ER with a cardiac problem, I was surprised to look up and see Dr. Fonte walk into my ER holding room. He briefly assessed my explanations (along with ER doctors/data)—and again, not the hand-holding type so he may come off as dismissive, but he got right down to business. I’ve grown to have tremendous respect for his work and the fact that he obviously takes the time to stay up to date with the ever-developing/best technology and drug treatments for cardiology. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends or family.

I went to Dr fonte on a recommendation,
I knew I had a heart problem and went to see him. What a cold individual.
Without doing a thorough exam he looked at some test results that I supplied walked out of office and scheduled a stress test.
Well I got a second opinion and had an angioplasty done, I have a major blockage and need surgery. I can only imagine what would have happened during the stress test.
I asked the second doctor went over the same report I supplied Dr Fonte and asked no stress test, OH NO!! Your heart is enlarged would never do a stress test.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!
If you see him certainly get a second opinion, or he just might kill you.
Thanks Doctor, I told the person who recommended me and they are also looking for another doctor.

Dr Fonte has been treating my husbamd for the past year and I couldn't love the care and time he is shown and given. The staff is amazing!! Especially Denisse! As a nervous spouse it's so hard to sit and wait for your loved one and she is always extremely.sweet. i appreciate it so much.

I was a patient back on 2021, and I called Dr Fontes' office with concerns about some recent testing and was told I could not get seen without a referral from a PCP.
I'm between PCPs and my insurance does not require a referral for specialists. The receptionist was being needlessly difficult, and puts me in a position of having to find a new Cardiologist.
Dr Fontes closed all my varicose veins in 2021, and when he was working on one I had a sharp pain in my gut. He dismissed my concern as "anxiety," but I actually had severe stomach lining damage from another issue.
If you like being dismissed by rude people, then he's the Cardiologist for you!

Had my first visit with Carlos Fonte and what a great pleasure it was. Waited very little to get called in. The receptionist was great and the doctors assistant and the doctor was top professional. Centrally located. I have more test scheduled and look forward to a long lasting relationship.

The doctor is fine. My complaint is with the rude girls answering the phone. The elderly lady with a scratchy voice is so rude. Every single time! No customer service skills whatsoever. The office manager is just as rude and very unprofessional. Most of the staff is overweight, which boggles my mind as this is a cardiologist office. I wouldn’t go to an overweight personal trainer at the gym. They do push statins immediately even when you don’t need it. I had to refuse and go outside to get second opinions with a 0 CAC score, they still push statins. I am very healthy. I will be looking to find another doctor as the front desk girls are lazy and no one wants to work. This doctor needs to find girls with customer service skills. Thanks to Covid scam no one wants to work or be nice. Anyways, I’d recommend you look elsewhere for a doctor.

If I could rate 0 I would because that's what he deserves...I honestly don't see how this doctor is receiving such great reviews my mother in law just had an appointment with this doctor who was very rude...and insisted she get information that she authorized for him to get...she is elderly and has heart problems...for him to tell her it's her responsibility to gather all information from past surgical procedures and hospitals...when he has administrative assistants to do so, that she is supposed to know and that he has thousands of patients so he doesn't have time...is out of line
He should practice more empathy for his patients rather than having them collect the information for him

Every time I have seen Dr. FONTE , he and his office have been very welcoming! The receptionist is very polite. His staff has been very caring and everyone listens to your concerns. I love Dr. FONTE and he is always caring and answers my questions. I highly recommend Dr. FONTE.

Beware. The doctor is so creepy and he makes his patients feel uncomfortable. My sister refused to ever go back. The office manager Diana was rude and I think it was because I’m black. The whole staff was awful besides a few of the ladies at the desk.

If you had a choice between here and checking your own heart I’d take that risk bc these people are a joke!

It is hard to find a doctor who values the patient/doctor relationship anymore. Most are "eat better, lose weight, exercise more" see me back in months. Yes, all those things are good for your overall health but I feel like it can be an excuse to not try to find any other underlying issues. I was referred due to high BP and concern of family history of strokes. Dr. Fonte and staff have always made me feel comfortable, that they really care about helping me become well again. Thank you to Dr. Fonte and all his wonderful staff.

It's hard to pin-point exactly what makes Dr. Fonte such a great doctor -- there are many things. He's very intelligent and intuitive, but down-to-earth and humble. He listens intently to you and your issues to fully understand them instead of simply hearing what you say. You know beyond a shadow of doubt that he is sincerely concerned with your health and well-being. On a practical and objective level, he's a runner and triathlete who knows our issues. Dr. Fonte is an exceptionally competent, caring, and effective doctor.
