I have had care here previously that met my expectations however the most recent was very disappointing. The radiologist they sent my imaging to (out of state) did not do a comparative to a previous imaging I had just completed which is what prompted the second imaging appointment. When asked to reinterpret he again failed to do so and actually recommended I have the same imaging done as I did the first time because he neglected to read my chart and instead compared it to unrelated scans I had had over a year ago for a different issue completely. I’ve spent the last week trying to communicate that with the patient experience staff who are not medically trained so they are unable to convey my concerns. I continued to explain this was unacceptable and have continued to escalate the issue still without satisfactory results.

My doctor is fantastic. He is professional but keeps things on the lighter side due to my mental health. The person who did my mammogram was very unwelcoming and do not show any enthusiasm with what she does. She never smiled, she never acknowledged me, she never offered help, she was like a statue operating in numbers and no feelings at all. She didn't even say that the exam might hurt a little bit because it was really uncomfortable. She does not care at all. No connection, no engagement or whatsoever. She needs to find a new career.

I am writing this review based on my recent experience advocating for my grandmother during her care. While I understand that healthcare providers face many challenges, I was disappointed by the way communication was handled in this situation.

During our interaction, the doctor made several comments implying that I was responsible for becoming my grandmother’s Power of Attorney and suggested that without me taking on that role, there was “nothing more she could do” for my grandmother. This felt inappropriate and placed unnecessary pressure on a family member who was simply trying to assist with coordinating care. Legal authority decisions such as Power of Attorney are personal family matters and should not be presented as an obligation for a relative.

Additionally, the tone of the conversation came across as dismissive and unprofessional when discussing referrals and next steps for my grandmother’s care. As someone who has been acting as a caregiver for my elderly grandmother who suffers from Alzheimer’s, I had to make the difficult and emotional decision that I could no longer provide the level of care she requires. Instead of understanding the reality many caregivers face, the response I received felt more like judgment about why our family could not continue caring for her, without consideration for my own personal circumstances or the challenges involved in managing advanced care needs.

Fortunately, I was able to find placement for my grandmother in the state she is originally from, where she will be able to receive the care and support she needs. However, the lack of empathy and professionalism during this interaction made an already difficult situation even more stressful.

Healthcare providers play a critical role not only in medical care, but also in communicating respectfully and compassionately with patients and their families. I hope this feedback encourages more thoughtful and supportive communication with families navigating these very difficult decisions.

What a total SCAM!
As I mentioned in my previous review below - I had noticed lies and inaccuracies in the after visit summary that Dr. Morris had written about my visit. I thought it was so strange how *specific* the things were that he was lying about - until I saw the insurance claim for my visit that day. I was being charged extra for very specific things that did not happen. This is FRAUD. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I WILL be reporting this and I will take down anyone else involved.

Avoid this entire practice if you can. You’ve been warned.**

Horrible experience specifically with Dr. David Morris from the cardiology department. I went to him with concerns about a previous diagnosis involving my heart that i felt like was getting worse. He was condescending and rude and spent the entire appointment shaming me for my “lifestyle choices” that were contributing to my issues. Yes, obviously i am aware that i have made choices that are not good for my health but there are more professional ways to address these things without making somebody feel horrible about themselves. i did try to express to him that im having issues with my weight due to a spine injury that limits my mobility and causes debilitating chronic pain keeping me from being able to exercise. it really didn’t matter what other explanations i may have had for these issues because i wasn’t given the time of day to really explain what is going on. i recently read his after visit “notes” on our time together and i noticed some blatant lies. he claimed that i denied certain symptoms that he never even asked me about. he also claimed to have advised me on very specific things that were also never talked about.
my time with him was upsetting to say the least. i left his office in tears and actually cried the entire drive home. i also immediately cancelled the future testing he had scheduled for me because he had made it pretty obvious that it was pointless because there wasn’t really anything that could be done unless i changed everything about my life. if i wanted to feel worse about myself i could have just looked in the mirror for free and saved a lot of money that was spent on this appointment. i hope you read this and do some self reflection on how to treat people..

also, if someone would like to contact me i would be more than happy to go over his report and point out all of the inaccuracies.

My only issue was with the technician, He was very cold and really didn't seem like he wanted to be at work dealing with patient care, His attitude wasn't pleasant at all, However I still told him to be blessed and have a good day and yes he did respond to that. I would never desire for anyone to lose their job, However if they need to be retrained of course that would be fair. It's 😢 when you are dealing with health concerns and then you have to deal with a health care provider who's day seems worse than the day you are having it can be very disheartening. Yes I'm dealing with a lot and He wasn't professional in his position As a technician, He should have checked his self prior to dealing with me, I did witness him with the woman before me and his Vibe was low key also.

I usually like southwest medical facility as they have all in one building if you need blood work or Xray's etc. The best they offer is their urgent care . The 2026 new appointment to have a primary doctor is a sad experience . Even so most of the listed doctors on their site show that they are accepting new patients , they see you one time and tell you that they are full and you need to see someone different .Referrals to a specialist are impossible as the one time doctor visit is not following up on your referral requirements.The next primary doctor appointment is two month away . .Wasting month for the specialist referral and all bloodwork has to be done again. . If the next primary doctor visit goes the same way I will contact insurance and ask for a different medical group or change insurance. Several family doctors left their facility and created a shortage in doctors it seems.

I feel that I am heard, and that they care. The facilities are always clean, and it is easy to get appointments. Southwest Medical also has excellent coordination between doctors, offices and outside facilities, greatly facilitating medical treatment.
