I had a Curodont procedure done during my last visit. This was recommended by the dentist. When talking about payment, the front desk gave me a paper saying that my insurance would likely pay $390. I went in again today, and the front desk now told me that my insurance only covered $13. I asked the lady at the front desk if insurance usually covers Curodont, and she said, "Most insurances don't cover Curodont, but we're hoping more will in the future." I was never given this information before going through with the procedure. Had I been informed of this, I would've decline the procedure. Now I have another $390 bill to pay. This feels like very shady business practice, and now I'm hesitant to trust their price quotes.

I want to share my disappointing experience with this dental group to caution others.
I visited them for an implant on my right side teeth, but they suggested starting with the left side due to damage from grinding. Dr. B performed the procedure, during which she frequently discussed personal matters with her assistant in an unprofessional manner. After the temporary crown was placed, I experienced sensitivity, which persisted despite multiple visits. Eventually, another doctor detected an issue on my X-ray that required a root canal after the crown was put on permanently; that is the one thing that I find disappointing about Dr. B. Now, less than two years later, the crown has fallen out. The group talked about the charge for the replacement, citing examination and X-ray costs first without seeing my teeth, and without an apology. I am unhappy with their approach and lack of accountability. The average lifespan of a crown should be 5 to 15 years or more.

I paid over $4,000, including insurance, to Green Valley Dental for orthodontic treatment that ultimately caused issues with my gums and had to be discontinued. While Dr. Wong was very compassionate and genuinely tried to do the right thing (even stating that she would speak to the office manager about a partial refund) the office manager never called me as I was promised and then refused to return my calls. Due to problems with the Angel Aligner plan, I am out thousands of dollars and have to pay another Orthodontist to start over. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I have been coming here for a long time and used to be a patient of Dr Franz; however, the office has significantly gone downhill over the past couple of years. The lack of professionalism from the office manager is unacceptable.

My first visit with Green Valley Dental was with Dr. Wong. She was courteous, kind, very direct about what I need done. I felt safe and in good hands, I was referred to their periodntal dentist which I never got his name. The consultation agreed with Dr. Wong and scheduled me or July 17 @ 11:00am to remove several of my teeth. Upon arriving I was instructed my the office staff to take the pill triazolam one hour before arriving. At 10:55am I was taken to the back to begin my surgery, I informed the staff that the pill is having zero effect. By 11:00am I was given different pills (3) to add with my sedation (it did not work it only made me anxious). It is now 12noon and my medical transportation ride will be arriving at I’m. I enquirer about the delay and was told the doctor is attending to an emergency. No one offered to reschedule my appointment, no one offered an apology for the extreme delay. At 12:30pm I tried to leave the office. I was returned my $31.00 copay with a nasty tone that lead me fell that I should get out and return. I was sent home drugged up by Green Valley Dental Group with zero regards for my wellbeing. I’m a 69 year old woman in a wheelchair. Their slogan is “We treat Patients Like Family”. The hidden part must be “Not is you are old and black”

If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. I mistakenly brought my family here and they performed surgery on my family member. They installed a crown for them but after much pain and a follow-up visit, come to find out packing cord was left in her gums!

The surgery was about 1.5 years ago and now my family member’s crown fell out!

My current dentist says whoever installed the crown ie(GVDG), cut her natural tooth too short and at an angle, therefore a crown was never going to stay on it for long. I’ll never go here again or recommend anyone else.

Dawn, the registered dental hygienist, is fantastic about keeping me informed of what’s going on during the procedure. Moreover, she educates about things I can do to improve my oral health. Additionally, Dr. Wong fixed a chip on my tooth that other dentists tried and failed at. Her fix has stayed and is flawless. The rest of the staff is friendly and professional. The office is clean and inviting. I highly recommend the GV Dental Group for all your dental care.

Very thorough annual exam and Dr Samantha spent time discussing in detail 2 conservative treatment plans for 2 separate issues that I completely concurred with and appreciated her candid suggestions. I called my dentist to make an appointment a cleaning and a whitening, and they were booked up for months. I inquired if they recommended patients to another dentist. Yes, they did - this office, which is under the same operating group.

I called this office and made an appointment with the receptionist for the same sort of appointment. I was very specific about these facts.

I showed up the day of the appointment, checked in, and waited patiently. After some time, the hygenist called me back. She was a bit cold, "Follow me. We'll be in this room. You're in for an exam and X-rays."

I replied, "No. I'm here for a cleaning and a whitening."

"Oh, let me check to see what room you'll be in."

She returns momentarily and explains the whitening process to me. She then asks, "Do you know how much it will cost?"

"No," I replied. She left again for a moment, returned, and informed me about the cost. Fine.

She commented again, "We need X-rays and a full exam. It's been too long since you've visited the dentist."

"I'm not here for that. I'm leaving the country for an extended time. I don't want X-rays or anything else [to do with me being a long-term patient]. This is a one-and-done, so please clean and whiten my teeth, and I'll be on my way."

Hurriedly, she arranged her tools and adjusts the chair without a word. "I'm going to need you to turn your head slightly towards me."

I asked for her name before I turned my head. She industriously went to work. It was 1218. I know exactly because after I opened my mouth, I unexpectedly looked up right at the clock.

She finished the cleaning, and asked, "Are you going to do the whitening?"

"Yes, that's why I'm here."

"Ok. Let me get some special polish without fluoride. You can't use fluoride before a whitening."

She returned and finished the job. It was 1234. It was the fastest cleaning I have ever had done, I think. Did I make her job easy by taking care of my teeth? Good on her anyways! That was the highlight of the visit.

She said, "Let me get the dentist about your whitening."

I waited. She returned and informed me that, "The dentist won't budge. They will not perform the whitening without X-rays and a full exam."

At this point, I'm upset. I've made special accommodation to be in Las Vegas just to attend this appointment - I am a full-time traveler. No one informed me of this requirement until now, at the last minute. It started out wrong and continued to spiral.

I voiced my displeasure to one of the office employees. Things got heated, and I raised my voice but never cursed. All she could say was, "The office manager is on vacation. The dentist is not going to sacrifice their license to whiten your teeth." Fine.

I called my normal dentist. They agreed to see me.

The next day, an office worker from my normal dentist called me. She informed me that due to the incident at the other office, I was no longer a patient, would not been seen for a whitening, or for any other reason in the future.

The setting of expectations up-front and explanation as to why services were needed could have avoided this entire situation.

Update: I went to another dentist for whitening. The dentist himself came and asked me, "Where did you get your teeth cleaned?" He took pics of my teeth and showed me the shoddy cleaning job that was done at the other dentist. Terrible.

My husband and I initially love this place. Until lately, my temporary crown fell off ... 2 x!!! First time it fell off was just a couple of hours after it was placed.. went back to the clinic, got fixed.. and again.... fell off after a week.
I am just very discouraged with this place lately.

They’ve changed. I waited in the waiting room for 26 minutes, which I thought was a normal amount of time. But the tech volunteered to tell me I would be running behind now because I was 30 min late! I told her I got into the office at 11:04. I’ve been waiting in your waiting room ever since. Obviously the front desk girls didn’t put my file in to be next. I didn’t mind the wait. But thought it was inappropriate for her to just tell me I was that late, especially when I wasn’t. Where else am I supposed to wait? Weird. It’s really busy and loud now. Very fast paced lots of people there. I don’t like the dentist anyway, but the previous owner was great and his staff was courteous and kind. Very different vibe and attitude now.

I love this place! I am so glad that I found Dr. James Frantz. Extremely professional and compassionate man. I had some bad dental experiences when I was very young. I'm 57 now and still have fear of going to the Dentist. It's hard to find a dentist that I feel comfortable with. I not only feel comfortable with Dr Frantz but I completely trust him. I had to have a crown replaced a few months back. He did a wonderful job...... and got me through it. Everyone in this office has been great to me.

I have had my teeth cleaned at this office twice now. I take care of my teeth and did not need a deep cleaning. Many years ago after not getting to the dentist on a regular basis I did have to have a deep cleaning. That post about the deep cleaning irritates me. My experience at this office has been nothing short of excellent!

The dentist Mark was marginal but the REAL problem I have is the girls at the front desk/phones. They do NOT know how to treat people with any common respect. They tried charging me for rescheduling an appointment and Im glad I did because I found a new dentist and magically my crown is fine and did not need to be replaced. I would get a 2nd dentist to double check anything this office is recommending

I have been seeing Dr. Dorilag since 2003 and couldn’t be happier with my dental care! His care for your well being during dental procedures is truly amazing. When people I know are looking for a dentist I always recommend him and they always tell me how great he is! I’ve moved out of state but I still fly back because it’s worth it to see a dentist who cares for his patients so well. Since he started his practice I have become familiar with the staff and more familiar with Dr. Franz and can say that it is an amazing environment for care. If you’ve been in Vegas for any amount of time you’ll know finding quality care is extremely important. Cost is irrelevant when you know the job is done right the first time. I had an appointment a couple of weeks ago and had car trouble. They charged me $25 fee. I called they were nice enough to remove it , but one of the staff members named Leslie, who removed it suggested I find a new Dentist. The staff is horrible! This is Fred Bruno. My wife & I have been patients of Dr. Dorilag for almost 15 years. My last visit about 3 weeks ago was without dental insurance. I questioned the $300 bill which was reduced to $205 because I had purchased a discount card from them. The charges were for a cleaning, xrays(3) & 2 exams? I decided to question the bill & requested to speak to Dr. Dorilag. I called the office 4X with no response so I decided to go in to see why I haven't heard back. I was told by Melissa that Dr. Dorilag would NOT be meeting with me as she handled the billing. My wife had similar treatment earlier(cleaning, 3 xrays & periodontal maintenance & her bill was $102.
I feel my charges were inflated so that after the discount card was applied I would be satisfied with the bill.
They charged me the same UCR prices as if it was being sent to an insurance company. And, we all know those prices are inflated.
All I'm suggesting is if you do NOT have dental insurance find out in advance what the charges are to avoid any surprises.
Appears loyalty means nothing! I can pay the same rates anywhere so why should I be loyal to them when they don't care about me.
Needless to say, my wife & I will be going to a different dentist in the future.

I've been going to Dr. Franz for probably 12 years. He is very genuine, not forceful, very friendly, along with his terrific staff. On two occasions Dr. Doralag had to work on my teeth, he too is terrific, very personal, knows his Dental craft. The hygienists are lovely, just terrific staff !!!!

When one moves to a new local its not always easy to find a physician or dentist. About two months ago we finally found an excellent dentist at the Green Valley Dental Group. Dr. James Frantz has to be one of the best (if not the best dentist) I've had. His staff and he are quite friendly and professional.
My first visit was for the usual cleaning and x-rays. Then I found out I needed a root canal. I'm 61 and never had to have anything other than a filling or cosmetic procedures done, so I wasn't looking forward to it.
Long story short I got the root canal done on Thursday (4-18), and I've got to tell you that all that foreboding was for not. I told Dr. Frantz and his assistant Leslie that that had to be best dental procedures I've ever had! It all went so smoothly, honestly.
I highly recommend Dr. Frantz to anyone that needs dental work. Kudos to Dr. Frantz, his staff and the whole Green Valley Dental Group.
