Our office is an orthopaedic surgery practice specialized in the treatment of injuries and conditions related to the upper extremity. This includes work related injuries, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, sports injuries, arthritis, tennis elbow, cubital tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff injuries and shoulder ailments. We also offer on-site occupational therapy services and some procedures can be performed during your office visit.

Dr Mattison was very thorough in his explanation of his findings as to my pain. He prescribed shots into the areas with arthritis and administered same. Amazing first experience here. Booking appointment was seamless, got in within a week, I used their link and input all the info before I got there, so at check-in I was asked to sign one sheet of paper, easy peasy. Two other patients in nice clean waiting room, got in at my scheduled time, nurse took my info, got Xray, saw the nice doctor, he gave me my options and I got a steroid shot, and I was out the door. Total time 20 minutes. Parking super easy. Every doc in LV should adopt this way of doing business.

Probably the worst office staff I've ever seen in 30 years of working in medicine. J has the worst attitude and demeanor of any office person I've ever spoken with. They don't like you changing positions and getting an appointment is absolutely absurdly hard. The office staff must go. I don't believe anyone reads these reviews so that's unlikely so just find another hand surgeon in town

The doctor is very matter a fact with his answers explaining his diagnosis and why you may have develop those symptoms or conditions.
Takes his time explaining
what procedures or options that would be cost effective and beneficial to your health, comfort and appearance. His practice has onsite X-Ray equipment to expedite an accurate diagnosis.
I highly recommend
Dr. Daniel Kokmyer for surgery procedures of the hands. Dr. Kokmeyer recently corrected a
venous anomaly
on my left hand index finger. Located on the inboard side between the middle finger. Below the first knuckle and middle joint knuckle. Changing sizes of a navy bean to a great northern bean weekly for two years or more.
The out patient proceedure was a very comfortable surgery due to Dr. Kokmeyer skill, his kind and efficient surgery team. Along with a modern out patient surgery center facility.
The suture area is not even noticeable after healing. My recovery period was just a few days with no pain.

This dr insisted I provide records from my previous hand doctor. I waited3.5 months(in pain and without any use of my hands). The doctor did not know what was in the records, or my painfully provided registration materials. He decided I had carpal tunnel and did not want to hear that I have MS which has been causing hand tingling since my diagnosis... and been treated for same quarterly by another hand doctor successfully for the past 10 years. He requested xray which was also painful and finally He gave me the steroid shot but wanted me to have carpal hand braces for night. Since I do not have carpal tunnel, the braces were not necessary, and did nothing more than make me lose sleep. The shot "cured" the tingling. IN ADDITION, THE SHOT HE GAVE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY MORE PAINFUL THAN MY LONG TIME DOCTOR WOULD ADMINISTER. THE PAIN WAS EXCRUCIATING DURING THE INJECTIONS AND LASTED FOR DAYS.
IN SUMMARY the doctor did not bother to learn my history and spent more time explaining the surgery I need than administering the injection.

He wouldn't let me take any pictures of my hand when it was open but he did count the different types of occupations that I've had through my life. He said most people have about 11. I began listing mine and he accurately counted them to 9. The surgery went great! He was training an up and coming Dr and from what I can tell ....Dr Kokmeyer was fully able to talk to the Jr Dr to clarify questions as well as completing my surgery. At the same time! I'm so impressed! Also my hand is doing well and my fingers aren't numb anymore. What a great Dr/Surgeon Dr Kokmeyer was at that time and still is!! If and when I need my other hand fixed...I will be sure to have Dr Kokmeyer perform my surgery. I highly recommend him for all of your hand surgeries!! Thank you Dr Kokmeyer!! See you in 2 weeks!!

Maybe the physicians are good, even great but I’ll never know. The support staff/scheduler is incredibly rude and impossible to work with.
The physician I am initially scheduled to see is booked out for over a month. In the meantime whatever is going on in my wrist has worsened to the point that I can’t use my hand at all and the pain is incredible. I went to the hospital and they advised me to ask to see someone sooner since the doctor is out of town.
I called and asked about scheduling with a different provider who has availability per the hospitalists instructions and the office didn’t want to hear it. Rude receptionist put me hold for a very long time and for no real reason. Tried to claim I’d have to get my referral reworked (untrue, my insurance doesn’t require pre-auths) then changed that to “the doctors will revue your records to see if one will take you”. Which is also unnecessary. Needless to say I have an appointment scheduled with a different orthopedic practice that’s less ridiculous and more empathetic.

I can’t find enough good words for Dr Fadell. He installed metal in my thumb and forefinger that should have fixed them forever or at least for many years! However, the metal was defective and broke into many pieces! Not his fault, but the fault of the manufacturer. And very painful for me!! He did a revision surgery on me by removing a tendon to replace the metal. I’m still recovering, but it already feels and looks amazing! He’s a perfectionist and a skilled doctor. I’d refer all my family and friends if they need a hand surgeon to him in a heartbeat!

Dr Kokmeyer is a very competent physician and put me at ease throughout my surgery. Before during and after, explained every thing he was going to do to keep my stress levels at a bare minimum. Was very patient with me since I could not hear him when he came into my room and waited for me to put my hearing aides in. Always asked me if I understood everything he had said and was patient when I asked him to repeat something I did not hear him say.
