am writing this because my previous review regarding my experience with this clinic is no longer visible, and I want to clarify what actually occurred.

During my phone calls with the clinic, I was accused of using an anti-LGBT slur. I completely deny that accusation. I have no reason to use a slur when speaking to a medical clinic, and I did not use one during either call. I also did not verbally abuse or curse at the staff. The only thing you can truthfully say is that my voice was raised & I called you rude….because you were.

If there is a recording of the calls, I ask that the clinic review it and identify where I supposedly used a slur. Both calls were recorded, and the recording should provide an objective account of what was actually said.

There was also a significant issue with the phone connection during the first call. The person I spoke with had to ask me multiple times whether I could hear him because the call kept cutting out. I could barely hear what was being said. I therefore disagree with any characterization that I was simply sitting in silence or refusing to respond.

My original question was straightforward: I wanted to know the out-of-pocket cost of a basic urinary test. I was not asking the clinic to provide specialized medical care over the phone. I simply wanted to know what I could potentially expect to pay.

After the call, I researched the services listed by the clinic itself and saw that the website advertises Women’s Health, primary care, laboratory services, wellness visits, and STI testing. My question was therefore about the cost of a service related to the services the clinic advertises, not an expectation that the clinic provide an OB-GYN consultation over the phone.

The main issue is that my original question was never answered, and I felt that the way the interaction was later characterized did not accurately reflect what happened during the calls.

People should be able to share their genuine experiences with a business. I am sharing mine based on an interaction I personally had with this clinic. I am not asking anyone to take my word over the clinic’s. I am asking that the actual conversation be considered before making accusations about what occurred.

I stand by my account of the interaction.

I had an extremely frustrating experience trying to get basic information from this clinic. I called to ask about women’s-health services and general STI screening, primarily because I was trying to determine whether the clinic could meet my needs and what I might have to pay out of pocket.

The person I spoke with repeatedly cut me off and told me, “We’re not an OB/GYN clinic,” even though I wasn’t asking for an OB/GYN appointment. I was simply trying to clarify what services the clinic actually provides.

The first time, the representative ended the call abruptly while I was still trying to explain my question. I called back to clarify, and the conversation became heated after I felt I was being dismissed again. I acknowledge that the second call ended after I became upset, but the first interaction was already unnecessarily dismissive.

What’s particularly confusing is that the clinic advertises Women’s Health, Primary Care, and STI testing/treatment, so I expected to be able to get a straightforward explanation of what those services actually include.

If certain vaginal concerns aren’t treated at this location, that’s fine but patients should be told that clearly and professionally rather than being cut off and directed elsewhere without an explanation.
