Hybrid dental was a random referral from a friend that had nice teeth and said this place was amazing. I gave them a call and was able to book an appointment within a few days, which was super convenient. When I went in, the fillings were done surprisingly fast, but what stood out most was the level of care and compassion they showed throughout the whole process. They really made me feel comfortable. I was there a few months ago and they told me I had 12 cavities. I went to my old dentist immediately after just to find out that that was not true. Dr. Lee was literally “extremely excited” to talk about further treatment & next steps because he thought he was going to get paid for 12 cavities which was about $3,000-5,000. When I requested my records I was told I would get them right away. I had to make 2 more requests before receiving them. I never went back and I will advise my friends and family not to go there either.

I’m sharing this review because the denture treatment I received from Dr. Charles Lee at Hybrid Dental has caused physical, emotional, and financial stress. After months of trying to resolve this privately, I am filing formal complaints with the Nevada State Dental Board and my insurance provider. Patients deserve competent care, honesty, and transparency, and that is not what I experienced here.

From the beginning, the dentures provided were unusable. The bottom denture was made so poorly that I have never been able to wear it—not to speak and not to eat. It causes immediate irritation and pain.

The top denture also does not fit properly. It is extremely thin and partially see-through, appears crooked even though I do not have a crooked smile or jaw, and has multiple gaps that allow food to get trapped every time I eat. Food either gets underneath the denture or causes it to shift, making it uncomfortable, unsanitary, and unreliable for daily use. These are not cosmetic preferences — they are functional failures.

When I repeatedly raised concerns, they were rushed past or dismissed. Instead of addressing why the dentures didn’t fit or function, Dr. Lee repeatedly shifted the conversation toward implants, making me feel that unless I committed to an expensive treatment plan, my concerns would not be taken seriously.

Later, after seeking help elsewhere at A Plus Dental, I learned that my insurance only covers one denture set every five years. That information was never verbally disclosed to me by Hybrid Dental. I may have signed paperwork that included this limitation, but no one ever explained it to me. Instead, appointments were framed as being “sped up” and “extra special” to get me closer to dentures. Had I been clearly told about the five-year limitation, I would have made different treatment decisions.

Because my concerns weren’t addressed, I sought a second opinion. X-rays revealed a retained root left behind at the extraction site — something that should have been identified and removed before dentures were delivered. The correction was quoted at $350. I should not have to pay to fix an oversight I did not cause.

One of the most disturbing parts of this experience was learning that Dr. Lee discussed my treatment and frustrations with my friend’s husband during that husband’s appointment — without my consent — and in a derogatory manner. That felt like a serious breach of privacy and trust, and potentially a HIPAA violation.

It’s also alarming to realize I’m not alone. The same friend who referred me here cannot wear her bottom denture either. She was told that “floating dentures” are normal and that she would “never be happy” with dentures. She has gone three years unable to wear hers. This suggests a pattern of dismissing legitimate concerns rather than correcting defective work.

Because I cannot properly wear my dentures, my facial structure has changed. My jaw alignment feels different, I’m losing elasticity around my mouth, and wrinkles and sagging have developed that I never had before the extractions. I feel like I’ve aged years, and it is extremely embarrassing.

I have documentation supporting everything I’ve shared, including X-rays, emails, appointment records, photos, witness statements, and insurance filings. I’m asking for accountability and the opportunity to receive proper care so I can move forward and feel confident in my smile again. And if there happens to be a lawyer reading this who understands cases like mine, I would be open to talking.

No patient should go through this.

The best dental experience we’ve had in Las Vegas. My son needed an emergency root canal but his primary dentist was unable to do it since it was an adult tooth. After calling around many general dentist and endodontic offices, Dr. Lee was the only available dentist we could find on short notice and to top it off, the day before Thanksgiving! He was so professional, kind, and had a good sense of humor, which made my son feel comfortable and at ease. We’ve had a bad experience with another dentist that was rude from the start because my son was crying. At Hybrid Dental, Dr. Lee was able to perform the root canal on my son’s cracked front tooth and put a crown on within a few hours. The crown looks so good, you can’t tell which tooth has the crown. I won’t go anywhere else for my family’s dental needs.

I found Hybrid Dental through my insurance provider, and after reading nothing but great reviews decided to schedule an appointment. I had two appointments, but will be looking for another provider going forward. I am writing this because many reviews rave about Dr. Lee’s kind bedside manner, but unfortunately I experienced the opposite.

I have filler in my lips. I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I like the way I look, and my choices are frankly no one else’s business. I’ve had several visits with other dentists and they have never been a problem.

At my first appointment, Dr. Lee made several comments about how big my lips were. He told me “not to worry, they will go down” even though I hadn’t gotten filler recently. I just brushed it off and took it with a grain of salt, even though I was quite offended.

I went in today for a second visit and the first thing he said to me was “WOW your lips are really full today”. At this point, I am annoyed that he’s bringing it up again, but just try to brush it off hoping he will leave it there. He doesn’t, and goes on to say word for word “those things are… HORRENDOUS wow”. HORRENDOUS, really?! The assistant was right there too so I am not the only one who heard. I was just at a loss for words. He then proceeds to recommend an injector friend of his to fix my lips. I just had to say “I enjoy my lips and am not looking to change them”, hoping he would just finish my teeth so I could be done. It was embarrassing and humiliating to say the least.

I am turning 26 this month and will be losing my insurance, so I really needed the work done, but if that wasn’t the case I would’ve gotten up right away and left. His comments were unprofessional and unwarranted, and frankly made me upset and uncomfortable. Luckily I am a person with thick skin, but comments like that could really damage someone’s self esteem. I go to the dentist to remain healthy and take care of my dental hygiene, not to be insulted on my physical appearance.

Dr.Chen and his team are all extremely nice, gentle, and caring individuals. I have never been met with such care and kindness at a dental office before. They communicated very well how the cleaning or molding procedures would work and ensured that I was comfortable every second of the visit. My teeth were treated without any pain and were clearly brighter at the end of the visit. I would recommend them to anyone who needs anything done at the dentist.
