Someone can reply to my review (probably Ai at this point) , but I still haven't gotten a call back from the office. I tried again this morning and pretty much straight to voicemail.

I have seen Dr.Ricker a couple of times and he seemed really nice and knowlegable, but over that last few months I have called to try and make an appointment for my initial concern that had gotten worse and only got voice mail. I have left messages off and on for months with no call back.

It must be really nice to be so busy you can ignore patients when they have a serious concern to be addressed, just short of having to go to ER.

I recently had a consult appointment with Dr. Ricker for an upcoming colonoscopy. He explained what would happen and put me at ease about the upcoming procedure. Both he and the office staff were very personable and professional.

Dr. Ricker was so kind and patient. My wife had an endoscopy procedure scheduled and she took two zips of a protein drink after the cutoff time. Dr. Ricker gave us a choice of rescheduling or waiting four more hours. We waited. He was kind enough to do the procedure at the time and all went well! Thank you Dr. Ricker!

Leaving 1 star for the horrible office staff. I’ve been calling since 8am trying to change my office appointment to virtual since I’m sick with a cold and they didn’t answer for 20 minutes. Finally at 8:20am, someone answered in Spanish and pretended like I had the wrong number when my phone clearly displayed “Jonathan Ricker D.O.” on it. I asked to speak with the manager since she kept speaking Spanish and she said “No” and then hung up. This is completely unacceptable behavior for a doctor’s office. I had to call back again to finally reach someone.

My Prep Nurse Bianca, was very good, comforting, caring and answered all my questions. She made me feel at easy prior to my colonoscopy, I appreciated that very much.
My Recovery Nurse Emilee, was also very comforting, caring and she answered all my questions and she made sure that I was alert and ready to be discharged.
My Anesthesiologists Dr./not sure what his was but, he was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable.
My physician was Dr. Jon Ricker, a very busy man, he informed me of my results right there on the spot and he answered all of my questions.

My gastroenterologist is Dr. Jonathan Ricker who has been caring for me since he became my doctor at Nellis AFB where he was active duty. He has taken care of all my tests and medications through the years. I can only say, “Thank You” for your attentiveness. In addition the front desk, assistants and staff are kind and efficient on the phone and in person. I would recommend this doctor and the group unconditionally to all my friends and family.

I found Dr. Ricker while I was admitted to Henderson Hospital.
It was the best thing that could have happened!
He is very personable, and the only doctor that was able to help me with my condition.
I have since been released and will use him as my Gastroenterologist and highly recommended him and his very clean and friendly office!

Dr Ricker staff is always very kind and courteous at this office. I am not just speaking for the way I was treated; I see the staff interact with other patients in the same way. Dr Ricker is very thorough and allows the patient to ask questions. I never feel rushed during my Dr visits; unlike other Dr's that want to get you in and out in a hurry.

I saw Dr. Ricker and was fully impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. I had a bad doctor prior do a really bad surgery on me. Dr. Ricker is now my new Gastric doctor. I brought in a ton of notes he quickly reviewed making copies of permanent ones he needed. He also agreed with many other doctors who reviewed my bad surgery stating it was extreme and could have been dealt with differently.
We are trained to trust our professional doctors and Dr. Ricker has my trust, thank you sir.

Southern hills gastroenterology has always taken very good care of me the staff is very well trained very knowledgeable and very polite and courteous they do their best to get you and seen and get out and give you whatever information you need as far as following up they'll also call or send an email to check in on you to see how you doing after your visit I love him I've been with them for several years and would not change to go to any other gastro doctor

Please don't waste your time. He does nothing for GI issues, and proceeded to tell me that omeprazole did not cause cancer, when I've done the research. He told us that there was nothing he could do, except go home and let my fiance writhe with stomach pain and insomnia.

I only seen the dr once he was okay. But the people who answer the phones are terrible. You can never get through. I was released from the hospital so I was calling for an appointment like the hospital told me to do. I left 2 messages one urgent one regular and called 8 times the first day after release letting them know what happened and what hospital in addition it’s still hurting me. I called again Monday and no answer left a message. They leave a message back in my voicemail saying they know I left messages but they are waiting for the referral and they don’t know what hospital I was at. I am already a patient keep in mind and in all of the messages I told them the hospital. So now we are 4 days after discharge in pain and I call leave another message. No answer of course. I will be calling and canceling my endoscopy and any further appointments and finding a new dr. Patients are not the priority.

Update: 3/19 after response I called to speak to the office manager and nobody answered left a message….3/21 no response.

Dr ricker and his staff are amazing! I highly recommend them! The entire office staff was so friendly and helpful with all my questions and Dr Ricker was kind and listened to me and scheduled necessary procedures and blood tests to see how my health and ulcerative colitis is. His nurse Tatyana(sorry if I spelled wrong) is absolutely amazing! She listened to me when I told her what was wrong and went above and beyond to help me with my paperwork needed for work so that I did not lose my job due to my health issues.. she made sure to keep in contact with me and kept me updated a long the way! I will definitely continue to see dr ricker and his amazing staff and will recommend them to everyone I know.

I was a patient of Dr. Ricker’s at NAF Base and continued with him when he left. I cant say it enough how grateful I am to have him as my doctor since I do have a history of colon cancer. My experience with Dr. Johnathan M Ricker has always been exceptional until now.
I underwent a Colonoscopy one month ago and had 5 polyps removed that were sent to the lab to be analyzed. My dissatisfaction is with the follow up, I have not been contacted with any results and have left several messages to no avail.
I don’t want to drive 30 minutes to the office to demand some patient satisfaction, but I will if I don’t receive some satisfaction by the end of the week December 9th.

I saw Dr. Ricker several times over a few months to discover I had liver cirrhosis and how much it seemed to be progressing. At that point he referred me to a Hepatologist who was NOT a very helpful person. However Dr. Ricker's manner and treatment of me was very well done. He also made the time to answer alot of the questions I had once we found out what the main issue was, and believe me I asked ALOT. He was also smart enough and confident enough to tell me when he did not know something but he would confer with other Dr's to find an answer for me. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is at the time some of the office staff I had to deal with were kind of rude and dismissive of me.

Dr Ricker is great his staff is incompetent and rude. I am in theTthe process of moving to AZ Dr wanted me to get three tests completed. I scheduled trips back out to Vegas to have them done They sent the info needed for him to do the test that he would complete himself. However when I drove back to have the other 2 done Steinberg diagnostic told me they never sent the info needed for pre-authorization of the tests. I went to their office and they gave me the run around told me that they sent it and then printed confirmation that Steinberg had received it. When I checked the date they had sent it the day before my test was to be completed. IDK how they thought a pre-authorization can be done in one day but I had to cancel the test and will now have to start at square one with a provider in AZ. When I asked to have my records sent they said they can send them via snail mail but can't email them after telling me in the office that they could be sent no problem. They tried to say it was a HIPPA rule. I work in Dental we have to follow HIPPA laws this is a lie. I can't stand being lied to treating patients like they are idiots is never good practice. I will be discussing this with the doctor during my televisit next week. I hoping he will then have them email my records as they should be doing it now. I would never recommend this office unless I knew he found more competent staff. You can't run a successful practice with rude people at the front desk it makes patients lose faith in you.

Dr. Ricker took care of my husband when he was severely ill. He was the best doctor and my husband loved him. Thank God we found him. I wanted to see Dr. Ricker who seems to have good reviews, but I have to agree with the other recent review that the office is in utter chaos. They don't answer their phones. They give you the option to leave a message-- They don't reply to them either! There was something about flood in their office for one whole week during my struggle to make contact?? Then they recommend you call them on the line they don't answer if you have a problem with them not answering their line!! Catch 22!

If I could I would give Dr. Ricker zero stars he is the worse doctor ever he is very dismissive, he doesn’t call pharmacy’s back to get medications approved. He waits last minute to get the patient any kind of medication. My mom now has been in the hospital multiple times after telling him she’s still bleeding and in pain and he does nothing
