Shocking mistreatment with no medical responsibility of patient care for chronic pre condition blockage of swollen venous glands & nodes linked to the heart. Policy is to pay upfront or not be treated rather than be billed as I was instructed by the insurance company to always do. The receptionist failed to give me an itemized bill after she demanded payment upfront. Claiming it was Mark’s job in billing which i never received as of 02/24. I was prepared for my urgent follow up stress test on 02/16 due to extreme swollen extremities.. On 02/15 they rescheduled me for 02/24 because there was no tech that was available after they grossly mistreated & bounced me like a yoyo to reschedule twice w a serious condition. Caused by issues of their staffing no shows. Again on 02/23 a rude Mark in billing calls me trying to pass blame on the insurance contracted company. He informed me it may take up to 3 days for approval & for me to reschedule 2x’s over to be further inconvenienced. Rather than utilizing professional customer service they chose to model misconductful actions. i spoke directly to the insurance contact who informed me Mark in billing only put the request for my coverage 24 hrs prior to my appt. And tried to reschedule me again!l which I refused. As he wrongly assumed it will get approved in 24 hrs when he had 12 days prior to submit for an approval. Negligence as this can cause serious health hazards to patients. in While trying to be diligent & advocate for proper medical care. He then yelled at me when I asked to have Dr Chander advise the pre certification dept of the urgency of my condition to be stress tested on my 2nd cancelled appt caused by their negligence.
They demand co pay upfront with no respect or professional service rendered onto the patient.
Highly not recommended..

I was having high blood pressure all last week. I called my primary care dr and he couldn’t see me for 2 weeks. I called Dr Chander and he told me to see him the next day. He gives quality service as does his assistant Brianna

I’ve been with this practice for 4 + years…decided to join his general practice division.. ok fine…I’m healthy well over 65….it is fine for the healthy public but if you need them to respond to a simple request….not happening…I’m done….all they do is request blood tests…then when I really need them…no longer available! Left messages…not answered…..I had a simple rash….refered to a dermatologist…I don’t need a referral…so uncaring ☹️

I saw Dr Chander last June due to a high cardiac calcium score test result. After a stress test and echocardiogram he released me by saying "See you in a year, everything is fine". I was not satisfied with this so I got a different referral to another cardiologist and after many tests, I ended up with a stent implant due to a 95% blockage in a main artery (2 weeks ago). Needless to say I do NOT recommend Dr Chander because if I would have followed his instructions, I may not have been here to tell about this. I will make sure to ask my PC Dr to not refer patients to this Dr.

GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE! READ THE REVIEWS!

Called when they opened to set up a new patient appointment and the woman who answered was nasty and hostile. I asked just to double check if they accepted my insurance, since they are on my providers list, and the lady hesitated and drew out her words, saying that they did. But she said it as if she didn’t want to deal with me. Then, when I explained that my doctor wanted me to get an Echo done (since I’m struggling to breathe and my health is slowing declining) and she rudely told me that I can’t just schedule an appointment, that it wasn’t how things worked and that I needed a referral.

After I had just told her that I had one!

All I simply wanted was to know how booked out they were, since this is a bit urgent. Seeing that I have 11mm growths in my lungs and that my pulmonary doctor won’t do a biopsy until he rules other things out.

Never have I been treated so badly by an office that I hadn’t even gone to yet. It’s unbelievable! I barely have a voice and feel as though I’m being water boarded every second of the day (and night…). I can hardly get out of bed without coughing myself to the point of passing out. The last thing I want is to have some snooty little girl talking to me as though I were an insignificant bug beneath her.

No thank you. I will try my chances driving a little further to another office. Because, if the staff behaves this badly, I could only imagine how the doctor might act. Smh….

Terrible office and they never answer their phones. Horrible turnover with doctors. I’ve been assigned 3 different doctors in the 2 years I’ve been a patient there. There must be something wrong with the office if the average working time for a doctor here is less than a year before they leave the office.

Dr. Chandra and staff were amazing! Very thorough, very patient and made my first time experience a good one. Dr. Chandra spent quite a bit of time explaining procedures and answered every question I had. I felt at ease even though I was nervous. I did not feel rushed in the least. The doctor made sure he answered all my questions . He definitely has the time to make you feel you are not just a number. I was very impressed with his bedside manner and would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. Now, his staff / techs were incredible. The ultrasound tech explained everything that was being done. He made me feel at ease through all my procedures. What a blessing to find such an amazing doctor, office staff and techs that have your vested interest at heart. Patient, professional and kind. You won’t go wrong by using Smart Heart and the staff for your EKG. EKG ultrasound and/ or Stress test.

This office is amazing! In a time when it is difficult to find wonderful medical providers Dr. Chandra is the miracle we were looking for. He is an amazing doctor, he spent time and answered our questions. He is amazingly thorough, kind, and explains in understandable terms. The office staff are fantastic. The ultrasound tech was awesome! He made my families visit comfortable and enjoyable. Very professional and kind. Anyone who needs their heart checked should 100% see this amazing doctor and staff. You will not be disappointed and will be treated fantastic!

First red flag: Sent my new insurance several days ahead of a second appointment to avoid a long wait. Ended up waiting over two hours anyway because I was told that my insurance takes a long time to pay or doesn't pay. The doctor was debating if he was going to see me. He is part of their network. Their billing person tells me to pay the cash now and when my insurance pays them, they will pay me. Fat chance of that ever happening. I retorted that I am not in billing, and this is their issue with the insurance company, not mine. If they are unhappy with the speed of payment from the insurance company, then they shouldn't have signed a contract with them.

The doctor eventually agreed to see me and upon entering the exam room, first thing he mentioned is that I will be sent a bill if the insurance doesn't pay. He was rude, dismissive and spent less than 3 minutes with me (and billed insurance $189 for office outpatient visit of 15 minutes) as he hustled me out the door and told me to keep taking the medicine. I told him it wasn't working (2x), and he finally said, "well at least it doesn't give you a headache." That's when I had to be more forceful about the meds not working. He had no response and told me to go see someone else. He doesn't care about helping patients, only enriching himself by hustling patients like a used car salesman.

Red Flag 2: Couple of weeks later, I get a bill from them for the full amount for this disastrous visit mentioned above. Thankfully I received the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from my insurance provider before receiving this bill from them, and could see what was already paid out to the doctor. I emailed a copy of this EOB from my insurance to their office to get them off my back. It clearly stated from the EOB: Patient's Responsibility: $0.

Couple weeks later, I received another bill from them, billing me for the rebate that was given back to me by my insurance! They saw the rebate from the EOB and wanted that too. I had to finally call my insurance. They called the doctor's office while I waited on the line and told them I owe nothing.

Red Flag 3: I see a second EOB in the mail, but had only used insurance with this doctor once before, and was a cash patient the first time. They attempted to put in a claim for that first visit to my insurance for an appointment 2 weeks before, to get paid twice and charged the insurance claim 42% higher than what their cash rate is! This is why it was denied, because I was not yet with this insurance company, but they tried to get a double payout.

A doctor within a specific network, signs a contract with the insurance company, the fees are negotiated at a discount rate to the patients within that network. Not the other way around.

Go at your own risk. I never want to deal with his shady, money grubbing, carpet mentality of a health provider for the rest of my life! Reminds me of rip off mechanics when you need service on your vehicle, that possess the commensurate level of trust and transparency.

Dr chander might be great, don't know, never saw him. But he and his staff sure don't respect patient's time. DEMANDED I be there at 12:30 for a 1:00 appointment. Then staff went to lunch at 12:30. Sat there till 1:20 without getting called while people who arrived after me were called. Shabby scheduling when I should have been first appointment after lunch. Long lunch for Dr Chander? Over scheduling? Running patients through like an assembly line? Don't know - but sure won't be back. Professionals keep appointments they schudule.
