I had a horrible experience with wisdom teeth removal in the past, which is why I waited 8 years to get my other two out. But this time was something different.

Dr. Kikuchi and the whole team were professional and made me feel at ease. The post-surgery instruction booklet was super helpful as well. Last time I was swollen for almost two weeks, but this time I’m only on day 4 and the swelling is already much better. Really glad!

My husband recently had his wisdom teeth removed, and I wanted to share our experience. From the very start, scheduling the appointment was quick and easy, no hassle at all.

When we arrived, the staff made both of us feel so welcome. As the person waiting during the procedure, I really appreciated that there was a comfortable, dedicated waiting room for me. It made the whole process so much less stressful knowing I had a nice space to sit while he was in surgery.

Staff is unbelievably kind very helpful and reassuring. A friend referred here to get my wisdom teeth removed. After experiencing immense pain the other night I was able to get in the next day. The overall procedure took around 15-20 minutes for all 4 of my wisdom teeth with my bottom ones being impacted. I woke up in no pain and 1st day post op still no pain. I had such a good experience!! Cost about $3k per implant. U see the doctor initially, if u hav questions, this is the time to ask because after this initial consultation, you will not see the doctor again till after the surgery. I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed a dentist or at the very least felt compelled to do so the literal day of my wisdom teeth surgery, but Dr. K and his team are absolutely astonishingly wonderful. Lovely office, everybody there is so nice, and Dr. K himself was patient, friendly, charming and reassuring. They offer PRF (they use a little of your blood to help speed up healing), the surgery was relatively quick, and while I’m obviously recovering, they prepared me well and had everything prepared - gauze, meds sent to pharmacy, etc - smoothly.

Really great place. If you’re scared about your wisdom teeth or dental surgery this is the place to go. They were all wonderful.

I highly recommend Dr. Kikuchi! I got referral to see him to get my wisdom teeth removed due to having excruciating pain. I called at 9:30am to see how soon I could get an appointment and they got me in by 11:30am that same day. Thankfully I was fasting and was able to have surgery. He eased all my anxiety about the procedure, explained all the risks and had amazing bedside manner. I seriously recommend him if you need any type of oral surgery. After surgery I was super drowsy so I couldn’t talk to him much, but he reached out to me via his personal cell to make sure I was doing okay and told me if I needed anything after hours to reach out. Ive never ever had a medical professional go that above and beyond, it shows he truly cares about his patients.

I also wanted to mention that the staff there alongside Dr.Kikuchi are really amazing! Everyone is so nice and caring there. We never once felt we were taking too much of his time and left feeling confident in the care I would receive. I had such a good experience. The reviews are accurate. I had to get a tooth extracted. I was extremely nervous. My blood pressure was up. Dr.Kikuchi’s assistant Jackie was an angel and calmed me down big time. I decided to stay awake for the procedure it was done in a few minutes. I had manageable pain and bleeding for the remainder of the day and a top it off as I was getting in bed for the night, I got a call from a 702 number and it was Dr.Kikuchi personally seeing how I was doing. I told him I was doing great and he let me know that this was his cell phone number so if I had any questions or if anything changed to give him a call Immediately. That meant a lot!

Dr. Kikuchu was exceptional from start to finish. He clearly explained the entire process and made me feel completely at ease. What really stood out was how he connected the experience to something personal — he said the medication would make me feel "right back at home in Waipahu," which made the whole thing feel more comforting and familiar.

His assistant, Lisa, was also amazing. She took the time to find the best vein, checking both arms and hands, and was very thoughtful about minimizing discomfort. She got it on the first try — which never happens for me. I usually get poked at least twice during blood work, so this was a pleasant surprise.

Yesterday, I had surgery with Dr. Kikuchi and his wonderful staff with the purpose of having my four wisdom teeth extracted.

Another dentist recommended Dr. Kikuchi to me, stating he was possibly the best dental surgeon in the state. When I looked him up online, I only found excellent reviews. My main concern with this surgery was that as a woman over 40, a procedure like this carried certain risks. On top of that, I have a personal history of allergies to a certain type of general anesthesia. So, I needed to be in the hands of someone truly experienced.

Even with that reassurance, I was pretty scared when I entered the operating room yesterday. The staff who prepared me before I saw Dr. Kikuchi were very gentle with the needles and made me feel safe. When Dr. Kikuchi came in, it was very reassuring that he wanted to confirm certain details about my health history.

I had the surgery under general anesthesia and was completely asleep. The procedure went smoothly, and once it was finished, I was able to go home with my husband while still not entirely conscious.

Today, a day after the surgery, I have no pain and haven't needed to take any painkillers. I've been following the instructions of taking the prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection and have started to regain full sensation and motor function in my lower lip and jaw. I was all numb in that area for about 20 hours, but I was previously informed that this was a possibility.

I greatly appreciate that Dr. Kikuchi personally called me yesterday for a follow-up.

If the doctor or his staff ever read this review, this nickname is not in your files since I don't use my real identity online. But please know my experience was very real, and I am grateful for the tremendous service I received at this clinic. I would absolutely recommend this practice to anyone who needs it, now and in the future. Thank you, so so much. I am truly grateful.

I had two molars that have been quite the nightmare. After two double root canals on them TWICE and both unsuccessful, I ended up at Kikucki Oral Surgery and Dental Implants. Of course, as a 14 year old, she would never be relaxed and fully comfortable with an oral surgery. Dr Kikuchi explained the process very well and made sure we didn’t have any questions. Special thanks to the lady, Sorry I didn’t get her name, who wheeled her out after the surgery. My daughter was very emotional and wouldn’t stop crying post anesthesia l. She provided support and gave her hugs when i was not there. She made sure my daughter was comfortable and felt safe. Really professional. I truly appreciate her. I would recommend Dr Kikuchi’s office to everyone.

My daughter had four wisdom teeth pulled and the experience was amazing. All of the office staff were very kind and welcoming. The doctor came in and explained everything very thoroughly. During her surgery they moved me a private waiting area that had coffee & snacks. It was very Zen. Everything about this office was 5 stars and I would definitely recommend them to friends & family. When the nurse wheeled my daughter to the car she was barely able to talk but she said… I didn’t get to tell the doctor THANK YOU!! Please tell the doctor Nevaeh said Thank You.

I was extremely nervous to have two teeth pulled surgically, this entire office staff, all the nurses, Dr Kikuchi, everyone in that office was Amazing and Dr Kikuchi explained everything and put me at complete ease, I'm not an easy patient Anxiety disorder sucks, I would most definitely go back to Dr Kikuchi.

Dr. Kikuchi is very professional, knowledgable and friendly. He and his staff are wonderful, taking time to answer any questions and make sure everything about your visit comfortable. Dr. Kikuchi has taken care of two of my children and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with their (or my own) care. Outstanding!

If you’re an anxious dental patient, this is the only oral surgeon you should consider.

I had a fantastic experience at this office. From reception, to assistants, to the incredible Dr. Kikuchi, everyone is so kind, compassionate, and patient.
I went to Dr. Kikuchi for a second opinion for 4 wisdom teeth extractions because I had a horrible consultation with a previous oral surgeon. I’m so glad I did.
Ollie, Rashida, Daisy, Valerie, (I’m forgetting a couple) were also so incredible. I am a highly anxious person when it comes to dentistry, especially going under anesthesia.

On surgery day, all the ladies were so sweet and patient while I was balling my eyes out from fear. The procedure went better than expected. I have no nerve damage which was my biggest concern. (The other oral surgeon had me watch a warning video and didn’t really have any compassion when I asked about the odds of permanent damage). When I went to kikuchi, he had me do a ct scan to see my nerve better and he said there’s practically no chance of nerve damage. The entire process was seamless.

To top it off, he called me from his personal cell that day to check in on me. I was also able to ask questions via text days after.

I cannot recommend this office enough. Go to them, you won’t be disappointed !!! 10/10
