I was a patient here after a major heart attack and stent placement. I repeatedly raised concerns about chest discomfort, exercise intolerance, palpitations, and leg symptoms, but my complaints were dismissed and not investigated further. My care focused mainly on medication management, without additional recommended standard follow up testing or follow-up evaluation. After seeking care elsewhere, a more thorough assessment identified cardiac and vascular issues that warranted earlier attention given my history. I did not feel listened to or proactively cared for as a patient.

The office staff is horrid, incompatent and dangerous. I have requested my medical records multiple times as have my doctors. The staff all lie and state they have never received a request. When the doctor came into the exam room he asked me what I want to talk about. He has been my doctor for over 2 years. He did not have his computer or past exam notes. Dr. Spaccavento requested a Cat scan with contrast after I told him why I was in. The lab never recieved the request. When it was requested a second time the required labs were not listed. I questioned this and was told the lab got them. I checked with the radiologst office, never received the order. Before he left the room his parting words were " I guess I should listen to your heart. I left the practice.
The doctor need to retire or go back on his own.

Dr spacavento is great. He has a great bedside manner. The office is the problem. I saw him 3 weeks ago for a regular checkup. I waited two and a half to three hours in the waiting room. I only got to spend about 2 minutes with the doctor and he told me he wanted to prescribe a new medication. It's been 3 weeks since I've seen him but the pharmacy can't fill it because they need a prayer authorization. For the last 3 weeks I've been calling his office three times a week. I've left messages for his medical assistant a supervisor and others but no one has called me back. Find me today after calling the main number for scheduling I explained that I don't know what to do they were able to get the medical assistant on the phone. She screamed at me it was very rude and said she sent it. What you sent was a prescription not the authorization but she was screaming at me and didn't seem to want to listen. Something similar happened a few years I go when he prescribes something else. After a few months of not being able to get the prescription filled I had to go through my primary care doctor to get it filled.

Absolutely outstanding experience! Dr. Spaccavento is a truly wise and experienced cardiologist who took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely at ease. I left feeling confident, cared for, and in excellent hands. Highly recommended !

I cannot believe how unbelievably unprofessional and careless these people are.

My father with a walker and heart issues was dropped off for his 10:30 am appointment this morning in front of their Pecos office only to find it EMPTY!!!

Their own website still shows their location at this 7305 Pecos!!! So does this Google Maps entry I'm reviewing.

The text reminders for the appointment my father got mentioned no changes. The texts they sent me mentioned no changes.

Now he calls me and he's back home.

How many months does he have to wait now for his next appointment?!

I have been with Dr. Spaccavento about 4-5 years and he listens to the patient very well and he is very knowledgeable about the heart & Cardio. In 2017, I needed heart surgery. After being sent home from surgery, I developed a Sudo Aneurysm behind my heart and needed to go to the emergency room of St. Rose. I was in great pain and the emergency room was not sure what was wrong with me. My daughter asked them to call Dr. Speccavento. After running a couple of tests, He knew I was in trouble and needed emergency surgery to fix my heart. He saved my life that day.
