Stay far away!
I brought my almost 80-year-old mother who had a broken hip, and fractured pelvis. We asked for oxycodone for the pain and upon looking at her list of medications that her office put in and I had in a bag with me, she said I can’t give you benzos and Oxycodone. We didn’t even know what a benzo was, but it turned out that a pill that she took for anxiety was a benzo. We told her not to prescribe that one, and to please prescribe the oxycodone. After signing all the paperwork that you have to do to get oxycodone. She then gave a urine sample., which apparently is required as well. Approximately a week later, we get a phone call from a very snotty nurse stating that Lorna could no longer give her any oxycodone because there was benzo in her urine. No duh, she is the one that noticed it and pointed it out. We then got a second call stating that she could no longer prescribe oxycodone. At this point, I stated, no worries, we’re never coming to this doctor’s office again, after the way you were treating us with two phone calls, accusing us of asking for something and lying about having benzos in her system.

Mind you, we are now going to pain management and do not need her to prescribe oxycodone. We were treated as if we were shopping for drugs and basically treated like I have never been treated in any doctors‘s office in my mother‘s or my life.

As it turns out, we were unable to find another doctor’s practice in time to receive another medication that she needed a refill on.

So begrudgingly, we made another appointment and we’re going to discuss this matter with Lorna. We then got another call stating, we thought you weren’t ever coming back to this practice. Why do you have an appointment? Is this a way to run a practice? Does she just not want to work with 80-year-old women? I really don’t know what the problem is, but the practices of this office and of Lorna are deplorable. If iI could give her zero stars I would. Hopefully, this helps someone else not have to go through this. My 80 year old mother deserves better, and so do YOU!
