This Complaint is besides the 3 Crowns they did and never addressed the sensitivity to hot and cold and air beside prescribing tooth paste when they obviously weren't don right or needed root canals. and still haven't corrected by bite from those procedures

On March 2, 2026 I went to Madison Dental because I had a bride on my lower left jaw that fell out after 16 years, I was not in pain or having any sensitivity in the area at all. I took it to Madison Dental and they went over options to replace it with upgraded materials or just glue the old bridge back on, and do the recommended extraction on the #19 tooth, because I was told it wasn't savable. I decided to go with upgraded materials. Dentist (Song Nguyen) said she would have to do some clean up and tooth build up for the bridge and then do the extraction, also discussed putting a bone graft after the extraction so I could get an implant in the future as recommended by them. The extraction broke and she said she would have to drill out the tooth. After I left 1 stich broke immediately and the other stitch I felt pull when I got sick form medication. The pain started immediately after leaving the office. I was told that pain should subside in 3 days which is what I also read on the internet.

On the morning of March 9, 2026 I called saying I was in major pain and haven't slept in 5 days from Extraction Graft and where the bridge work was done and need it looked at. There were excessive Swelling and pain lasting more than 48 hours. I went in as they said the graft was infected and since I already used my Antibiotic they couldn't give me more until 14 days after the procedure and prescribed me Ketolac for Pain and Chlorhexidine Gluconate mouth rinse to clean out my hole in my Jaw with a syringe.

On March 12th I called saying I was in major pain from the work being done and need help immediately and haven't slept in 8 days. When I got there Song Nguyen had a Senior DDS look at it Andrew Schneider. He was telling her what needed to be done. When she originally did the bone graft, she stuffed the socket dry without inducing blood, he said which caused a dry socket and infection. He instructed her that she needs to scrape out the bone graft and redo it even with an infection present. They gave me shots to numb the area but it was so infected it alone wasn't working. So they me to Walgreens to get Clindamycin 300mx 3 a day and Noro 5mg/325 acetaminophen for pain and then come back to start the removal of bone graft and redo it. Not addressing the pain from work that was done with my bridge only that it looked good on xrays from March 9th. She told me she would be out of the office the following week, but would call me on the 16th to check on me, and that if I still having pain to go to the ER. After everything was complete I went home and went take a nap while I was still numb. After tossing and turning for a few hours in major pain, I decided to go to the ER at Valley Vista @ 8:28pm to make sure I didn't have Sepsis. Dr Kardashian said it looks pretty infected but he's not a Dentist and not really sure what he was looking at, but I didn't have Sepsis at the time. He didn't prescribe any further medication, because I was already given some earlier that day and recommended I follow up with a Dentist.

March 16th Dr Song Nguyen called to see how I was doing, I told her I was in alot of pain and I went to the Er on the 12th to check for sepsis.
She asked if I wanted to come in earlier than the 24th to see the progress , if I wanted to come in now and I told her that im going to go somewhere else.

Vicki from Madison Dental called me I believe on March 17 2026 I told her what happened and not to bill me for any work done on March 2nd , 9th or the 12th that I was filing a Grievance with my insurance company, because the work was going to have to be redone and I lost all confidence in their practice. " She said she would get my paperwork ready" as if this is typical at their office.

Dr. Milena Arakelyan is truly outstanding. Both of my treatments were handled with professionalism and care, she's done an extraction on my upper left and on my bottom right she's done a root canal with a crown and I experienced no pain at all. She is patient, attentive, and takes the time to ask questions and ensure your comfort. On top of that, she is incredibly gentle. I will definitely continue seeing her for all my dental needs,next shes doing my implant, she’s hands down the best. Plus she's a beautiful soul to look at doesn’t look scary or mean. Lol thats important for real!!

If you have union insurance, this is a great location. I carry two plans, and the pricing is still very competitive. I used to have all my work done at a union dentist, but I’m really glad I found this office as my new primary.

It’s a little hard to spot the first time since it blends in, but the location is convenient. The office feels personal despite having a surprisingly large staff. You get the sense that they genuinely take pride in the care they provide and prioritize quality treatment.

My first appointment did run a bit long because they were busy or fell behind and I had to leave slightly early, but the staff was very understanding and accommodating.

My entire life I have been scared/terrified of Dentist and I have some pretty bad experiences myself. Finally found my place and it’s SO close to home. What else can I ask for! I need alot of dental work, I got a root canal, which I scared myself to death watching videos online and alot of people I know have some crazy, terrifying experiences BUT Dr. Patrick is truly the very BEST he was so communicative, gentle, empathetic, he made me feel comfortable. Didn’t feel any pain at all during my procedure. Next thing you know, he said “we’re all done” I can just keep going on how great and attentive he is.
Erhonda (oh man I really hope I spelled your name correctly, Im so sorry if I didn’t) she was truly the best she was born to do this job.! She was also very communicative showed me all the tools they were going to use for my procedure, pictures, explained everything Step by Step. They both ease my anxiety and always made sure I felt NO PAIN. My only regret is not meeting yall 10 years ago and I could’ve saved alot of my teeth. I can honestly say I can’t wait for next year for my new benefits to kick in so we can continue to restore my smile lol Thank you to the entire staff here. Everyone is very friendly and makes you feel welcoming. But a very special Thanks to yall two. We need more people like you in this field to ease our anxiety and look forward to each and every visit.

I went in to Maddison Ave Dental as a new patient for an exam and a cleaning recently. I am used to getting cleanings every 6 months but moved here from another state recently and hadn’t found a dentist yet. So it had been a year, but I brush and floss regularly.
I got to my appt and had X-rays done and an exam, testing for bone loss/gum disease, etc.
2-2.5 hours later I was done and NO cleaning. I was told I needed a deep cleaning and all of my silver fillings removed and replaced with crowns. Ummm, no thank you. I asked for a cleaning. And I know my teeth are in good shape. I phoned my regular dentist back home who’s seen me for several years now and knows my teeth. He said there’s no way I need a deep cleaning and to go somewhere else. The dental plan Maddison Ave wrote up for me was a ploy to get money for things I did not need.
I’ve since gone to another dentist, closer to me and with a much higher review rating. They were wonderful.
I found that my teeth are, in fact, in great shape, I do NOT need a deep cleaning, and they said there’s no need to change out silver fillings with crowns.
AND Maddison Ave told me that since they reported that I need a deep cleaning, I won’t be able to get anyone to do a regular cleaning on me now.
The new dentist not only cleaned my teeth (regular cleaning), but rated my teeth with 1s, 2s and 3s. Nothing higher to indicate a need for a deep cleaning (5s and 6s).
I had a tiny cavity starting near an old, silver filling and they replaced the whole thing with a composite filling. Excellent. I’m so happy I found the other place.
Everything that was told to me at Maddison was untrue.

The dentist was extremely rude and possessed absolutely no Interpersonal Skills or Social Graces whatsoever. She spoke to me while I was laying down in the dental chair from behind me and never did look me in the face. She rattled off a bunch of dental issues that I had, then said "Got it" and left the exam room. I pushed my head and shoulders up out of the chair to look her in the face and I replied "No" but by that time she had left the exam room, and was gone down the hallway. I asked the Billing Clerk for a typed-up 'Treatment "Plan", as I did not understand all the dental issues that she had "rattled off" in rapid succession - I never received one, a Treatment Plan that is, not even an estimate of how much all the Dental work would cost.
I see there are responses from Maddison Avenue dental to all the other reviews, how about an apology to me?

I have been going to this place for years (and when I say years, I mean YEARS) and I recommend everybody here. Over the course of my 10+ years with this office, Alice the hygienist has always been here to clean my teeth, and she is not only an excellent hygienist, gentle, but a great person who really cares about what she does. While I have noticed other providers and staff come and go over my time with this office, I have to say that has only led to IMPROVEMENT as the doctors/assistants/reception are the best they have ever been. First time I went, they had me wait 1.5 hrs. And every time since, 20-30 minutes. Plus, they all act like you have to put up with the pain instead of doing things differently so they don’t hurt you. This place is nice and clean just overall charge a lot. I have dental coverage doesn’t cover much being here at this dentist office. You come for one thing and they want you to pay for other stuff that’s not even the reason I am here. I am here for a cleaning and a cleaning only! They try to get you with the different treatments that are not even worth paying for. The payment lady gets mad when you don’t pay for the treatments like what a good service of getting mad at a client for not wanting to pay for other treatments. Some of the workers seem prejudice is my opinion.

Not a good dentist. Very nice staff but they don’t know what they are doing. Went in to get two crownes and a filling in early February this year and I have been in pain since. After shaving and adjusting multiple times , They sent me to a specialist because the work they did didn’t salvage my tooth & I still felt pain. I’ve spent over 1k alone trying to get my teeth back to normal. Please think twice before visiting this office.

I enjoy the "team" at Maddison Ave. Dental. Dr.S. Board has been gentle and through. He told me the best way to go with my teeth. He has pulled several teeth of mine and he was fast and pain free. My family experience hasn't been good with this dental office. The first visit I took my daughter due to tooth pain it was said she would need a root canal, they shaved her tooth so far down that the temp tooth fall out twice. I witnessed one assistant working on a patient and with the same gloves went to handle sterile utensils for another patient I immediately addressed management with this issue who then said "Okay, Ill check on it". I called to discuss a bill I received and during me speaking the front desk worker she said " please " and clicked over, I have never had to sit in a dental off for 4 1/2 hours to be told to come back tomorrow....My family will not return to this unprofessional establishment again!!

Dr. was incapable of following through with procedures. Originally, 6 months ago, the office claimed they had refunded my insurance and American Express charges when they referred me to another dentist. This was NOT TRUE they failed to do so. Despite numerous email and phone conversations with the staff, they have still not refunded the insurance or our AmEx card. They and I agree that I am entitled to these refunds. Currently, I am unable to receive the help I require and deserve from my insurance until this office sends my insurance company a simple Fax and refunds my money they do not deserve to my credit card.

First impressions are everything right ?
Well, this place isn’t perfect but it also isn’t bad which is why I’m rating this a 3. My appointment was scheduled right as they opened...the clinic has signs that states they clean every hour but let me explain.. I was impressed by the 6ft separation, plexi glass and hand sanitizer available however the furniture was so dusty it looked like it hadn’t been clean in a while, there was children’s fingerprints on the glass cabinet and the cloth seats are pretty dirty (stains ect) that could use a cleaning.
As most people have mentioned, staffing is SUPER NICE! From the front desk to the technicians, hygienist, everyone. They thoroughly explain what they’re doing, what they see & suggest and breakdown every cost. But with this being a private dentistry and not an actual clinic per say as they mention, I feel there was a few things that bothered me, the machines seem old... I did a full around head X-ray in which I was kind of “stuck” in the machine because It was making a noise and wouldn’t move. The technician couldn’t get it to start and got someone to help her saying “you just need to help it” while pulling on a part that was suppose to move on it’s own... Also, I feel they were too adamant on getting me to get some work done right then and there in that same day by saying “what did you want to get started on today” & “well is there something, anything you can do today” uhm... no? I mean when someone comes in for a checkup I don’t think most people say alright, let me separate $300-$700 especially when 1) it’s a check-up & the whole point is to see what’s going on and see what needs to be done for the next planned appointment & 2) although it’s great to have same day service, it would be nice to not assume someone has the time and money to complete extra work and be pushy about getting anything done that day.
Overall considering on returning or not. My mom really likes this place, it’s close to my home but I also feel it doesn’t compare to an actual clinic..at least for now. Small improvements make a big difference! Mop

AMAZING STAFF!!!

So I called this dentist to request for an oral exam on my 11yr old daughter. She had a baby tooth still in her mouth with her adult tooth already grown in, which was causing so much pain in her mouth for her. I originally brought her to Wigwam Dental for the initial exam first back in May. They have been rescheduling my daughter for her "map goal" on her baby tooth extraction THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. She was suppose to be seen in September, until I gave Maddison Dental a call...

The lady in the front desk that took my call, was able to schedule her in today at 2pm because of a last minute cancellation with a different client. So I brought her in, and when they took her back for an xray, they brought me back to her and Dr. Stokes and his assistant Evelyn asked of we would like for them to just go ahead and remove it right now. 🤯 i was in complete shock that Dr.Stokes offered to just remove it now that im there (I live in henderson btw) My mind was BLOWN with how quickly the process was done. My daughter was so happy with the process as well. Dr.Stokes and Evelyn both made her super comfortable with how nervous she was when we mentioned to do it then and there, and she wasnt in pain! Wow! What was taking Wigwam Dental 3 MONTHS to accomplish, Maddison Dental accomplished in ONE VISIT. Not to mention, our FIRST TIME VISIT! Reason I chose to go to them, is because we have Culinary ins, and not that many general dentists take that ins. So yes, Maddison Dental and ALL THEIR STAFF, made this far drive completely WORTH IT. Thank you again for such quick and amazing services to all of them! They definitely earned our business as well as an AWESOME REVIEW. 🤗🙏

Ps, their office is clean neat and orderly. Sanitation is accessible to patients and they follow the Covid protocols. 👍👍👍

The dentists are okay, I have been here several times and have only seen the same dentist twice. Seems to be a high turnover rate.

I would give 0 stars is possible. The front desk is AWFUL. Can’t keep track of billing, horribly rude, wont return calls or communicate. This place has also lost my crown, not once, not twice, but three times. Their response? It’s the labs fault (why would I be surprised this is the response?) I prepaid for work in January 2020. Today is June 2, 2020 and I have still not received the work. To date, no offer of any refund, credit, or apology. Only blame to “the lab.”

Save yourself time, money, pain and AVOID this place. I would hate to see anyone else be treated in this manner.

However, today I had a filling done and the assisting dental nurse (I do not remember his name, a white male), spent 15 to 20 mins fumbling in my mouth trying to put a dental wedge in between my teeth that the doctor asked him to put in (I assume). He obviously had no idea what he was doing, he said nothing to me and was just there fumbling with some device in my mouth and caused my jaw to hurt. Mind u, I already had the numbing cream applied and anesthetic injected by the doctor so I should not have been feeling anything, he clearly had no idea how to put the device in and caused me nothing but discomfort.
When the doctor finally came back and I told her the device was not in place, in a matter of seconds she informed me what she was doing and snapped the dental wedge between my teeth smoothly with no issue.

That was the only bad experience, I have ever had at Madison Ave, only because this nurse did not know how to properly do this one task.

Dr. Lee is wonderful. She and her staff was very patient with me during my procedure. Dr. Lee is both very professional and thorough. She really takes pride in her craft and is very meticulous in ensuring everything is done correctly. I know the dentist isn't the most comfortable place to be but if you have to go you want someone professional and not just out to rip you off for unnecessary work. This office also accepts most insurance as well. If you are looking for a reputable dental office to work with this is the place to go. The hygienist is also professional and non judgemental about how you choose to care for your teeth. I've experience dental offices that give off a very negative judgemental vibe and I never go back there. The entire staff is very friendly and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable

I went in to get two root canals ! Omg, this was the most painless, comfortable environment I have yet to experience! I had Dr. Schneider, and he was amazing. The staff was amazing, everyone was so polite and it made the experience so much easier!

I love the dentist!!! Check ups here are a breeze as long as you do your part to brush twice/floss thrice daily. The staff is always friendly whether you're calling in to confirm an appointment or taking 18 x-rays with a weak gag reflex. They are knowledgeable about oral hygiene and always help me with tips to keep my teeth and gums clean and clear. Plus great commercial free radio!

I would like to say the Madison Dental staff are absolutely wonderful. When I first started getting my teeth cleaned being that I haven't ever had my teeth cleaned I was very nervous but they really know how to put you at ease and before you know it the job is done and you're finished how awesome is that.

Worst experience ever. Not only did they over charge for claims that were not even filed with my insurance and knew nothing about , but the dentist work, i paid 1700 out of pocket, and insurance covered 1900 was atrocious, below par, & godawful. Within a month of getting root canals 1 tooth FELL OFF it was porcelin bla bla which paid an extra $250 out of pocket for each tooth for "better quality ", the other tooth followed a month afterwards. Didnt even get a cleaning in all these expenses. Just wanted to smile nicely and not have pain. When called and explained they stated they needed better product, but they didnt file it in my claimwith insurance. I so blindly went in there with high hopes to come out with just sadness and re-paying other dentist to fix my teeth. They just side line with claims you dont even know about at least if you would get decent work done but not the case.

Dr. Lewis is the best!! Not only is he a wonderful friend of ours but he so graciously squeezed me and my two oldest kiddos in before the end of the year to maximize our insurance benefits. The staff was so friendly and kind and so good with my kids. I was afraid they would be terrified but you would have thought they went to Disneyland they had so much fun!
