I’m extremely disappointed with the crown service I received here. I was told my tooth had a crack and needed a crown, which was placed on September 28. Since then, I’ve experienced unbearable pain and have had to take pain medication twice a day just to get through.

The pain radiates from my mouth into my throat and head, also causing an earache and affecting the entire right side. I returned to the office to have the crown checked and was told I might now need a root canal. I was referred to another dentist, but I’m still in pain.

Before the crown, I had only occasional, mild discomfort—nothing close to what I’m experiencing now. This entire process has been painful, overwhelming, and frustrating. I paid to have a dental problem treated, and I’m left with much worse pain, a referral for additional treatment, and no relief. I feel like I paid for pain, and I’m deeply disappointed with this experience

I was nervous to go back to the dentist after so much neglect towards myself but as soon as I had my first appointment in July of this year I was welcomed and well educated throughout my visit. I never felt judged and had a great experience. I was surprised at the fact that they did wisdom teeth extractions there as well which benefited me ! They were thorough with aftercare instructions making my healing process smooth ! As of now I am on Invisalign, beginning this journey of self care. Compassionate, Pain-Free Dental Experience with Dr. Edington and Team

When I was first told I needed to have three teeth extracted—two in the front and one in the back—I was extremely overwhelmed and emotional. I drove immediately over to Modern Dental Care, and from the moment I arrived, I was met with incredible kindness. Lori greeted me and could immediately see how upset I was. She came around the corner and gave me a hug before we even began discussing a treatment plan, which meant so much to me in that moment.

She then sat down with me and thoroughly went over everything in a way that was clear, calm, and easy to understand, making sure I knew exactly what to expect, what I would need to do, and how the process would work leading up to the day of the procedure. I felt informed, supported, and far less anxious after speaking with her.

That same level of care continued through the day of the extractions with Dr. Edington and his assistant Cece. Cece was amazing! She was incredibly attentive, aware, compassionate, and reassuring, helping me feel more comfortable every step of the way. Dr. Edington performed the extractions so calmly, and he had them out before I knew it! He explained every step beforehand so that I wasn’t surprised by anything, which for me made the entire experience much more tolerable.Thank you Dr. Edington!

I’ve been to a lot of dentists over the years. I’ve got to say this initiation was just remarkable. They did x-rays, many of them, and really quickly, did an amazing scan of all my teeth and showed me a 3-D version of what my teeth would look like if I got them all straightened. I am totally impressed!

Compassion is lacking
No introductions on any of 3 visits -I like to know who I’m working with.
No explanation of what to expect, process nothing. Never been to a dds that has you do a consultation appt for a cleaning and makes you come back. Was never explained when I initially scheduled that that is how it is done. Learned all about the persons water damage but nothing about next steps.
Very salesman type environment
Pricing changed both times after I was already there and then tried to charge me double my quote.
On the bright side I did meet Bree today and she was super kind and professional.

I have always hated going to the dentist. The worst part for me is the X-rays. I usually gag, choke, and get so much anxiety that I want to run right out of the office. Because of that, I’ve put off getting a lot of dental work done for years.

I went to Modern Dental on Maryland Parkway & Silverado Ranch with Dr. Mark Edington, and I can honestly say this was the most comfortable dental experience I’ve ever had.

Steve, the dental assistant, was absolutely amazing. He did all of my X-rays and somehow made me feel completely relaxed and comfortable. He understood my anxiety without making me feel embarrassed or rushed. For the first time ever, I didn’t feel panicked sitting in a dental chair. We took a lot of pictures, and not once did I feel like I needed to leave the office. That says a lot for someone like me who truly fears the dentist.

Dr. Mark Edington was also incredibly kind and welcoming. Funny enough, he was actually my oldest son’s dentist when my son was around 5 years old, and now my son is 30! I expected Dr. Edington to look so much older after all these years, but he looks great and still has such a warm personality.

And Lori, the office manager, is an absolute firecracker in the best way possible! She went above and beyond helping me figure out financing and got me approved for a payment plan when I honestly didn’t think I had a chance. No judgment, no pressure — just genuine help and support. Thanks to Lori, I can finally start fixing my teeth and work toward having the smile I’ve always wanted but never thought I could afford.

Thank you to the entire team at Modern Dental for making such a nervous patient feel safe, comfortable, and hopeful again. I highly recommend them!

I was a patient at the Horizon Ridge location. The staff there were really great. Professional to say the least. Sadly, I was sent to the Macdonald Ranch location for a root cancel. A week prior to my appointment I called up to express my concern that I didn’t feel the tooth identified as the need for root canal was the actual tooth.

Tiffany is the receptionist at the Macdonald Ranch location and from the whole hello, there was just a “receptionist tone” that had zero care at all. When I explained why I thought it needed a 2nd evaluation , she literally said and I quote “are you a Dr?” When I said no, she replied “exactly” I’m sure they know what they are talking about.

I want to say her name again since I hope the team there read this complaint and wants to reply, they know “who” is the reason for this post and why I decided to cancel my entire relationship with this chain. Tiffany was a complete joke to have in a client facing role.

Only thing modern about these offices are their prices. I go on average 4 times a year to dentist so I know going plan costs for most procedures. They even find ways for you to pay out of pocket for ur free dental cleanings with your insurance. Serious! I needed a “special “ cleaning. $200 out of pocket was the quote lol. For my bi annual teeth cleaning.

But Tiffany at Macdonald Ranch is the main reason I’m out as a patient here. Keep in mind they bribe clients with free stuff for writing reviews for them. Take these reviews with that in mind.

I haven’t seen a dentist regularly in years because of some bad experiences in the past, so I really took my time researching and reading reviews before choosing Modern Dental Care. From the start, the team was super helpful. I asked about insurance, and they immediately sent me a link with options and made it really easy to get the coverage I needed. I even had to reschedule my first appointment and they were so kind and flexible about it.

When I finally came in, I was able to get everything done in one visit: they made and placed a new crown, replaced an old filling, and did some extra cleaning. Before each thing, they walked me through the pricing clearly, and I never felt pressured or like they were trying to upsell me.

I have been coming here for about 4 years now and I have always had an excellent experience at Modern Dental Care. The entire team is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about their patients. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. The office is clean, MODERN, and welcoming.

This should be a Zero star. Modern Dental is the WORST dental, They are unethical, dishonest, staff are rude, they over charge, they do not deliver what was promise,. I was charge totaled over $5,000.00 for something I did not need. The crown, was not done appropriately,. Cleaning cost me $200. When I question about charges Lori , dismiss me. I called several times, I never get a call back. I strongly recommend. STAY AWAY from this Dental Care. Lori appear dishonest, you can tell in her face all the deception.

This office is amazing. I’ll start off by saying it had been years and I mean years since I had been to the dentist, so I came in with an entire mouthful of problems. I hadn’t smiled a real smile in years but thanks to the effort of Dr Fuglar who rebuilt my teeth and Bre and Kirsten the assistants who always made me feel comfortable during all the procedures I’ve got a mouthful of new teeth with a beautiful smile again, thanks Modern Dental for giving me back a reason and the confidence to smile again

Terrible attention from michele ,the lady who explained the cost of the services…a few weeks ago I went to this dental office for a dental screening on the recommendation of my sister who got a procedure done there…the doctor and the assistant were professional and friendly they explained me what I need and my current dental situation, so far everything was perfect, the assistant took me to an office so that someone could explain the costs of the services, a lady with a serious face came in and sat in front of me, she looked annoyed, she didn’t smile to me or say hello , I said hi and introduce myself and asked her name , she told me her name was Michele, she left a sheet of paper in front of me over the desk with a list of services and costs, she just mentioned “ -you need to pay this quantity and your insurance will cover this other part-“, I felt very uncomfortable she was making me feel uncomfortable, her body language was a bit aggressive and rude, I grabbed the paper and tried to understand a list of abbreviated dental technical terms and their costs , while I was looking at the list I noticed she was looking at me very serious , she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at me , at this point I didn’t know how to feel , her body language was telling me she didn’t have time for me , I asked her ,”can you explain me what this terms means ?and can you explain me with more detail the prices? “, only so I can understand what I was going to pay for if I decide to do the procedures there.( I think everyone wants to know and have right to understand what are you going to pay for) and she took the paper and read everything to me , but I read it before already , I wanted her to explained me something like ,”this one here belongs to this procedure, this one belongs to this another one that the doctor already explained you”, I don’t know I think it’s not hard to understand that she can be a bit more specific and patient explaining me,because it was a lot of information on that list, then she took her phone and looked at the time , at this point that made me understand that she was inviting me to leave the office, and I’m talking that this happened in as much 10 minutes only, since the first minute she was in the office she was rude she didn’t show me any disposition to explain me nothing and she showed an urgency to let me go since the beginning, I left the office ,I felt disappointed and feeling humiliated I was happy with what the dr explained to me , but I’m not going to use the services of a place where one of the team members treated me like trash ,specially if that team member if the one in charge of explaining me how I’m going to spend my money with the services, that talks about certain unprofessionalism in general of the dental office and if she was like that since the first moment I don’t want to deal with a person like her each time I need to go back to get something done there,, I found another place where now I’m getting my teeth fixed and where all the team members treat me like I deserve(with respect), I invited to whoever owns this dental office to let your team members like Michele know that the patients are everything for you guys , that if she has personal problems or emotional issues she needs to leave them at home and treat potential and current patients with patience, professionalism and respect, even I didn’t come back , I’m leaving this review to let you know the reasons and to tell you that a bad team member can make you loose a potential patient and a current patient ( my sister) because I told my experience at the office with this lady to my sister and she decided to changed to another dental office ( where I’m taking my treatment now a days) and if another person have the same bad experience as me with michele well so they know that there’s nothing wrong in asking information, That clearly the only one person in the wrong is her that don’t know how to be professional and respectful. Thank you for your time and I hope you can train her better to give a better customer service to the patients.

Greatest experience ever and every time. Friendly staff, knowledgeable Dentists, clean, organized, upfront about costs, treatment plans, and procedures, ur in and out no waiting around, they know you by name and I had not been back since 2022 because of changes in my insurance, I was forced to go to another dentist (due to insurance) that traumatized me and had to come back to Doctor Eddington and his team out of pocket just for the peace of mind and competency. I WILL NEVER trust anyone else with my dental needs. Not to mention best musical selection ever. Everyone at Modern dental are amazing but I must shout out Dr.Edington, Lori and CeCe. My journey is a long one and far from over but my first phone call, I crying my eyes out to Lori about how scared I was, she gave me the confidence to come in and help myself, she reassured me I was calling the right place, that id be taken care of and not judged. I had my X-rays done and Dr.Edington came in himself to speak with me one on one about how happy he was that I came in and took that first step. He was empathetic, understanding and I could tell that he cared. The day of my dental work CeCe was the Assistant there in the room with me and while I don’t remember much, I remember her voice, telling me I was doing great, she was proud of me, and that everything was okay. Her voice really soothed me through everything and I am so grateful for her. All of my follow up appointments have been just as great. When I tell my story to others I say that Dr.Edington saved my life, he did and I believe that. I feel like a new person, I have the confidence I dreamed of for 17 years. Modern Dental is by far the best all around! I originally went to them needing full sedation. Now, I might request gas, depending on the work needing to be done. They have gotten me to a very good place, and I've had a lot of dental work done.

I went there because it was close to my house, and had a crown done by Dr. Edington, which led to a root canal. On the day of the treatment, Dr. Edington didn't give me enough anesthesia and I felt a lot of pain during and after the treatment. I spoke to the assistant, who gave me some pills and said the pain was normal (as if I had never had a crown done before) but, the pain never went away. When I went back to the doctor and reported that the pain had never gone away since the day of the treatment, a week a go, I was seen by another doctor. She tried to make some adjustments twice, but they ended up sending me to a specialist to do a root canal through the crown that had already been done. They gave me a referral, who charged me over $700 to do the root canal. I declined because I thought it was a rip-off. I called the clinic back to ask for another referral and I already felt the hostility of the receptionists. One of them, named Michelle, even said that pulling the tooth off would be an option 🤯 right after I said that the place in question was very expensive. Maybe they get commission for sending people there, I don’t know, but she clearly doesn’t looked for my best interest.
I just wanted a place that wasn't ripping me off and would charge me a fair price. I found a very good place for myself with a fair price of $300. Unfortunately I still have to go back there, hopefully for the last time. The impression I got is that place is only focused on the DOLLARS not on the patients. They are nice to get you in, but hostile if something goes wrong.
