I have avoided going to the dentist due to crippling anxiety. My teeth have gotten so bad that I could not avoid going to the dentist. I chose this dentist because a good friend of mine uses this dentist and they are literally like five minutes down the road from where I live, but I have to say that this is by far the best dentist that I have been to in many many years. They have a very relaxing atmosphere, everybody is very friendly and the dentist himself, Dr. Chin has earned my implicit trust. He is the only one that I will ever trust to work on my teeth. Not only that, but I have to give a shout out to the front desk receptionist, Izzy. She has been super helpful in answering all of my questions and helping me to stay on top of my insurance issues. I 100% recommend this dentist to anybody and everybody.

Do not come here , they are scammers. Trying to do insurance fraud. Charging me $700 more than required amount. Claiming I had to pay $1265 out of pocket for 1 implant . But you can see 1971 cash here. I will be reporting them to the dental board with numbers. I paid $504 upfront . They threw a 35% loan for $1550 with Sunbit. I still owed $1500 after paying the $504! By the way, BONE GRAFTING $500 and FLIPPER $275, is all covered by my insurance. They said it wasn’t and charged me $275 for the flipper cash. I got to do an appeal and fax receipts to my insurance so they can pay their portion and refund me my money back. I canceled that loan immediately and definitely reporting this fraud! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!

I have been bringing my daughters to this dental office for about six years. In the past, I would usually go into the treatment area to stay informed about what was being done and any follow-up care that might be needed. I understand that the rooms are small, so now I wait in the waiting room.

Some of the dental assistants are very courteous and take the time to explain what was done during the visit and whether any additional appointments are needed. Others do not provide any information at all.

I truly appreciate the lady in red who helped one of my daughters today. I do not know her name, but she took the time to communicate what had been done and answered my questions. Unfortunately, the assistant helping my other daughter did not provide any information. Since my children are minors, I believe parents should be informed about the treatment provided and any follow-up care that may be needed.

It was disappointing to see that she seemed to have time to chat with staff at the front desk but did not take a moment to communicate with me as a parent. I hope additional training can be provided to ensure that all parents receive clear and consistent communication about their children’s care.

What a spooky place!!! Few days ago I went to this do called "dental office just to ask if the Dr can put back one tooth that got loose.
I had to do Xrays because the Dr. Is looking to find the best solution.
Finally the dr. came looked and he said that he can't fix the tooth only to remove the whole bridge and put another one.
When he heard my answer he turned his back and walk away. I realized that in his office are soo many assistants with nothing to do. So they need work and in sted to fix such a simple request dr. tried to complicated my life and my pocket with a total different job.
I am never going to step in that crazy place where the people try to get more $$$ from a person.
For all others people be very attentive at what work they are doing because they are hungry for $$$.
I went to another dental office and fix my tooth without Xray and all the drama.

I went to this clinic for a routine check-up and, despite having no pain or obvious dental issues, I was recommended two dental crowns, supposedly as a “preventive” measure.
Because I had doubts, I decided to seek second opinions from other specialists, all of whom agreed that I did NOT need crowns, neither now nor as a preventive treatment, and that the teeth could be properly maintained with fillings and regular monitoring.

This made me completely lose trust in this clinic, as the recommendation seemed unnecessary and aimed at billing more to the insurance, rather than prioritizing the patient’s actual dental health and a conservative approach.

Dentistry should not be based on aggressive treatments when they are not justified, especially since crowns are irreversible procedures.
I would not return to this clinic nor recommend it, particularly to people who fully trust professional judgment without questioning it. In addition, the treatment by the assistant who took my X-rays was terrible. If I could give this clinic less than one star, I would.

Absolutely sickening that they have a poor little beta fish in a “tank” that is basically as big as a cup, no filter, no care put into this baby. It’s absolutely disgusting and they should be ashamed. On top of that the place was dirty! They tried to put a x ray thing in my mouth and it had dirt and debris on it! Looking more at the equipment they had it was dirty as well with stains and such! I had to stop the service because what the hell was that! Oh and cherry on the top the lady forgot to give me the radiation blanket.

I came to this office hoping for help with a chipped tooth and a routine cleaning, but I left more confused than when I arrived. The communication here is very unclear, rushed, and not patient-centered.

The dentist briefly looked at my tooth, mentioned a bone condition, and made an insensitive comment about it being “common in African Americans,” without offering any real explanation about what that meant or why it mattered. It felt dismissive and uncomfortable.

When the insurance staff member came in, she delivered a long list of what my insurance “doesn’t cover” without breaking anything down or checking if I understood. After dumping all the information at once, she asked, “So how do you feel about that?” — which was extremely strange, especially since nothing she said gave me any real options to feel good about. I never got the chance to ask questions because the explanation wasn’t paced in a way a patient could follow.

What made things worse is that I came specifically for a cleaning, which my insurance does cover, but I was told I had to pay $160 because of “inflamed gums.” No one offered alternatives, explained the severity, or asked whether I wanted to move forward with that. I was never given a regular cleaning, and I left without understanding what the next steps were supposed to be.

I also shared that I previously had a traumatic dental experience, but neither the dentist nor the insurance representative showed much empathy or sensitivity. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, my experience was minimized or brushed aside.

Overall, I left unsure, uncared for, and confused about my own treatment plan. I expected clarity and compassion — especially in a dental setting — but unfortunately, I didn’t receive either here. I hope the office improves communication, cultural sensitivity, and patient support in the future.

Neighborhood Dental should be ashamed for using extremely poor quality materials and charge $1,000.00's of dollars and not stand behind their work when a bridge of 8 teeth, costing almost $5,000.00, literally deteriorates in 2 years time but they won't fix it without the cost of the process all over again! The material that a bridge is made of should last many many years without issue! Two of my 8 teeth are breaking away on the outside smooth visible part of the bridge! This should not happen, especially in only 2 years! Yet, they do not stand behind their work to fix the problem! When I called to explain my situation, I expected them to say come in and we will fix it! Instead I'm told I will have to go through the expense all over again to fix their poor quality of work! Of course I will not go back there again to pay and do it all over again just to have to go through it all again in 2 more years because of the poorest quality of materials they use!

Love this dentist. The administration are very professional all the way down to the students. They introduce me to care credit so I could get everything done. I appreciate them for that. Also very clean office and bathroom and the music is a vibe. The dentist are awesome and I truly feel comfortable for the first time in my life with my mouth literally in their hands.

I don’t know how this place has good reviews. They said they’d fix all 8 of my cavities and clean my teeth for 1900 dollars on a payment plan. After they scraped my teeth with metal, no mouthwash or any form of “cleaning” with fluoride polish or anything they drilled my two cavities that were the worst, and without any mouthwash or water to clean the drilled teeth burnt dust taste from my mouth, they sent me on my way. But- as I scheduled my next appointment they made sure to tell me I’d need a thousand dollars before they could finish my other 6 teeth. My 6 other teeth weren’t on the “payment plan” which is obnoxious, because that’s definitely the way they made it sound. Go somewhere else. OH also, here are my yellow teeth right after the dentist and then the home cleaning treatment I did on myself to clean up my teeth. Might as well find a drill next and do it myself.

FELT RUSHED during my appointment, I had to remind the dentist of what needed to actually be done instead of him reading my chart was a different dentist than my 1st appointment .I also waited an hour past my scheduled appointment time before I was even called back . During my procedure I was “numbed” but still felt pain when the Dentist started drilling as if the dentist numbed the wrong area. Honestly I won’t be back this was my 2nd experience here and all the same . Staff makes excuses for the extensive wait times , the Two Dentists here need to either stop excepting new clients if they can not keep up with demands and expectations or hire another Dentist on staff . Also equipment seems dated and office and back rooms are crowded .

Very cute dental office. It was my first time going in for fillings, a root canal and 2 crowns. I’m 8 months pregnant and I was very very anxious about all the work i needed to get done. Nurse PATRICIA deserves all the support, praise, recognition and applause. She noticed my anxiety and saw me cry and calmed me down so much. She said that I am in very good hands and that I had nothing to worry about. She was right. With her at each visit I felt no worries because I knew she’d take care of me. The temporary crowns she made me- INCREDIBLE. You couldn’t even tell that they were just temporary. Her attention to detail was amazing and she made sure i walked out with a perfect smile.
The younger doctor who did my fillings and root canals was super understanding too and very helpful. Receptionist Izzy - was very accommodating with all my calls and requests. I will forever be grateful for nurse Patricia because you can clearly tell she’s doing this out of love for the profession.

Went in for my periodontal cleaning. As always, the staff was awesome, but Nick was amazing! He made sure I was comfortable with every step that was being done. His personality also was just very down to earth. He took his time with my cleaning, and made sure to double back and made sure he didn’t miss anything. Dr. Otteson is the best. Still impressed with how fluent his Spanish is lol. He was also very thorough with explaining my treatment plan. Thanks again everyone at Neighborhood Dental!

Like any other dental office, they give you a treatment plan, but they also go by which treatment/procedure you’d like to do first. I came in for an emergency root canal, & they were quick to accommodate me. Eric (I believe that was his name) was also very helpful with explaining the details from my insurance. He also made sure that I was comfortable, and came in to check on me a few times whenever the dentist would step out. I don’t speak Spanish, but it was very impressive to hear the dentist speak fluently to his DA’s and other patients. My husband has been coming here way before me, but I’m definitely going to continue coming here. Awesome staff and dentist!
