In the Las Vegas landscape of doc-in-a-box, quick/urgent/rapid care, this practice is a standout. The medical director/owner Dr. Amal Obaid-Schmid is probably overqualified for a quick care practice (board certified in general and trauma surgery). But she has outstanding educational and experience credentials obtained from top California institutions. She combines an attentive, personalized communication style which is startlingly unfamiliar but most welcome in the wasteland of Las Vegas health care. Highly recommended.

I recently visited this clinic for a DVT ultrasound, and I cannot recommend the team highly enough.The sonographer was wonderful and immediately put me at ease. They explained every step of the imaging process clearly, maintained a gentle demeanor, and worked with incredible skill and efficiency.Following the scan, the doctor was equally impressive. They took the time to thoroughly explain the results . Taylor Barton was absolutely amazing!! Called this morning due to ripping out my G-tube and she got me in same day and my G-tube back in place and on my way with no issues. She was very informed walked me thru everything and talked to me about how to get care established with them with being new in town and needing a new doctor. Emily Green has been absolutely exceptional throughout my recovery following a serious accident. I’ve had the opportunity to see a number of medical professionals during this process, and Emily truly stands out.

What I appreciate most about her is that she genuinely listens. She is patient, attentive, compassionate, and never makes you feel like you’re just another appointment on the schedule. She takes the time to understand what I’m dealing with, answers my questions thoroughly, and makes sure I’m comfortable with the plan moving forward. That level of attention means a great deal when you’re going through a difficult recovery.

There is also a sincerity to the way Emily cares for her patients that is difficult to teach. You can tell she takes pride in what she does and genuinely wants the best outcome for the people she treats. I have always felt that my concerns were taken seriously and that I had someone in my corner throughout my recovery.

In fact, I have been so impressed with the quality of care Emily has provided that I made the decision to have her become my primary care physician. For me, that speaks volumes about the level of trust and confidence she has earned.

Excellent medical care is obviously important, but how you are treated as a person matters just as much. Emily excels at both. The best experience I’ve had since arriving in Vegas 6 years ago from the friendly and helpful staff at reception to Dr Amal who instantly made me feel that I was in the hands of a true professional. I had a great experience with Lyle Larson. I injured my ankle and was in a lot of pain, especially when putting weight on it. The staff kindly brought me a wheelchair. Mr. Larson suspected a high sprain, ordered an x-ray, but it didn’t show much. He then referred me for an MRI and gave me an ankle brace. They also sent a stat referral to an orthopedic office and to my email address. Since my insurance wasn’t contracted, it took a bit longer to find another office, but I went ahead with the MRI. I found an orthopedic office and got an appointment within a week. In the meantime, urgent care received my results and contacted me about the severe damage, prescribing pain medication until my appointment. Overall, this was one of the best urgent care experiences I’ve had, especially since I'm new to this state. Plus, I loved that I could make an appointment!

Dr. Tsang was really kind and very thorough. I do not believe we would have found my true issue without her tenacity. She could have easily let me leave without digging further, but she didn’t. It gave me a lot more information to go forward with when I returned home.
The only thing that I would have liked is a bit more communication. I could tell she felt like something wasn’t quite right but she didn’t tell me what she thought that was. I would rather know what she was thinking, even if she ended up being wrong, than sitting there going through different treatments without having a clear picture of why I was doing it.

This wonderful place has changed my view on how my medical care can be in Las Vegas. I Injured my hand, swelling, numbness, and it was stiff. I found Elite Rapid Care on-line and tried it because it was close and open in Sunday. I walked in without an appointment or insurance. The receptionist staff was courteous, professional , and attentive to my needs. I was brought back to see the doctors within 10 mins of finishing my paper work. Lyle Larson and all the support staff were incredibly polite and professional. I was seen by a medical professional, got an Xray, was prescribed medication, and received an immunization for less then 300$. Dr. Amal Obaid-Schmid is a great provider! She is thorough, thinks outside the box, and actually cares about her patients. I can tell you from firsthand experience that those attributes are very rare for physicians in Las Vegas.

Once I met with her team and had my initial appointment with Dr. Amal, I immediatley switched over to Elite Rapid Care for all my Primary Care needs. She helped me manage and treat a very complex endocrine disorder.

The truth is Dr. Amal not only has a wealth of medical knowledge and expertise, but she cares. And you can't put a price on that, you can't teach it in school. A provider either cares about their patients or doesn't. So if you value your health, go with the doctor that cares. Trust your gut, you can tell apart the caring and intelligent docs from the ones who simply are not at that level.

Dr. Amal's team at the clinic is also well organized. The system there flows well from appointment scheduling to records management, to lab/ imaging orders, speciality care referrals, etc. You don't need to wait on hold for hours (or even minutes) like in most offices here in Las Vegas. You can schedule appointments right away and be seen very quickly. Her colleagues/ fellow providers (Emily Green, Taylor Barton, Lyle Larson ) are also very organized, intelligent, and comprehensive in their approach and care plans. So you really can't go wrong, no matter who you see at Elite Rapid Care.

Emily Green NP has a very good bedside manner and she was thorough and direct. She took her time assessing our child and took the time to explain to us. I was contemplating writing a review for this place. I don’t want people crowding my new urgent care !! This place is very clean, the front desk lady was very kind and caring.
Hearing her answering calls, she always ended her call with “my pleasure”. Which is very rare to hear now a days. She checked me in and offered me a water. Didn’t wait long, I was called into a room 6 mins after checking in(I time these things) , once my vitals were checked , the lady said I’ll be seen shortly. 5 minutes later a wonderful Nurse Practitioner named Taylor came in. Gave me her diagnoses , sent my prescription. This took an additional 13mins and 36 seconds. The whole visit took 24 mins and 36 seconds. That’s how fast they are. I remember going to a UMC Quickcare one time and stayed in the waiting room for 3 nights before they called my name. I started my own family in the waiting room! that’s how long I waited. In all seriousness, Elite Rapid Care provided fast , efficient service. So thank you. Hope I never get sick or injured in the future , but if I Do I’ll be going to this place from now on.
