I had an extremely disappointing experience with this neurology office in Henderson. My son was scheduled for an EEG/head scan appointment that was booked two months in advance. I rearranged my entire schedule, called out of work, and drove over two hours to make sure we arrived on time for the appointment.

When we arrived, we were simply told that the appointment had been canceled. There was absolutely no communication beforehand — no phone call the day before, no message the week before, nothing. Staff claimed they supposedly called me once weeks earlier and left one voicemail, which I never received.

This level of communication and professionalism is completely unacceptable, especially when families are making major arrangements for medical care. We wasted an entire day, lost work hours, and drove hours for an appointment that no longer existed in their system and also was important for their patient. Instead of offering any real solution or apology, we were basically told to just go home and reschedule.

I am extremely disappointed and I would strongly recommend this office improve their communication and respect for patients’ time.

I had a terrible experience and will not be returning. The doctor completely ignored my input regarding my daughter’s headaches, even cutting me off to say she was only "asking the patient." My daughter is a minor and was clearly nervous and confused, yet the doctor dismissed my context entirely.
​Furthermore, the doctor made baseless assumptions about my daughter’s diet and suggested her headaches were due to "poor nutrition" simply because she dislikes school lunches. She even asked my daughter if she was trying to lose weight, leading to a lecture about "body image stages" that was entirely irrelevant and inappropriate. My daughter is healthy and recently passed a physical; these headaches predated any change in her lunch habits. I do not recommend this provider to any parent looking for a doctor who actually listens.

We absolutely love Dr. Monica Chacon. She consistently takes the time to thoroughly explain everything in a way that is clear and reassuring, and she keeps detailed, thoughtful notes in my daughter’s file, which we truly appreciate.
We’ve never had any issues, and the level of care has always been exceptional. My daughter has been her patient for four years now, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and attention she provides at every visit.

Monica chacon is heartless, rude, judgy and very curt. Being in a vulnerable position with your child is one of most horrible feelings and during both of my appointments she made me feel unheard vy her constant over talking me, judged as she keeps saying “well what are you here for if you already went to another doctor” and her rude comments about my child being too ancey throughout the appointment were just blatant disrespectful, her tone how she speaks to adults and kids is beyond rude and she clearly wants to push her narrative that she knows your kids better than you do. Additionally when I informrd her that I would not be giving my child a medicine based on years long research and an adverse affect I personally had with it she rolled her eyes and continued belittling me like a child because “she knows best”. Do yourself a favor and go to Utah or California if you want even the slightest care and compassion for your child’s health.

I went to see Dr. Chacon concerning a facial droop/weakened left side of my 8 month olds face. She insisted it was ACF (asymmetric crying facies) However, none of the criteria matched what my daughter was experiencing. I questioned this and she still said it was that. So, I took the article she provided me and reread it, still not convinced. I'm really not concerned and only saw her because my pediatrician recommended i do. I do feel like dr. Chacon wasnt very receptive to my daughters specific symptom however.
Office staff was very kind and dr. Chacon herself was very kind.
I just feel like I was given a diagnosis because there wasn't any other explanation.

Dr. Chacon is very intelligent and professional with us and relatable and warm with our child. She takes the time to make sure we fully comprehend our son's condition. She doesn't rush.
I also really like how she dictates the sessions notes quickly and then provides the documentation to us so that we have it, instead of having to chase down medical records later.

One of THE BEST doctors I have come across. My daughter had infantile spasms and everyone just kept telling me the worst case scenarios were going to be the reality, put her on meds and just accept it. They wouldn't listen when I said that's not acceptable. Doctor Chacon DID. She listens and explains in a way that you can understand. I am the kind of person that asks a lot of questions and needs to know "why?" and "what if?". She doesn't gatekeep information. Seems to me that she actually likes sharing this information and working with you to find a solution.

She saved my baby. My baby can walk, talk, run, play, and feed herself. All things I was told she would never be able to do.

If anyone can help, she can.

My daughter diagnostic with sever Autism since two years old and when she about fifty years old or so she start to have seizure and for few years it get worse and she was taken too much medication without monitor side effect for few years her sodium level so low she start fall down due to fatigue or drowsy affect her school and the fear of her go in seizure on school bus as the seizure getting worser not improve I start searching for Neurologist never really know what the Neurologist really specialize on make appointment and have no referral or know Dr. Chacon anyway at first Dr. Chacon tried and give a lot and different type of medication it took sometime but I am comfortable with Dr. Chacon as she explain everything and I do report and tried to keep record the length of time of the seizure it takes maybe one year or more but currently my daughter better and can say she one year no seizure. Very condescending experience with Dr Monica Chacon. My daughter was referred to Dr Chacon by her pediatrician for a concern that she (the ped) felt may be neurological. Dr Chacon treated us as if we had walked in off the street based on a self diagnosis instead of having been referred to her by another doctor. Finally, she questioned why we were exploring these concerns now, as if suggesting I had put this issue off for so long, why bother now. Horrible communicator. I had the privilege of paying $150 for this nothing of a visit.

Love her. Been going to her for years and she's seen all 3 of my kids, ages 1-14. She knew exactly what tests to do to get the answers we needed at the first appointment and has helped us tremendously in figuring out what our next steps were.
