I scheduled my 5-year-old daughter over a week in advance to be treated for a painful ingrown toenail. As a single mother, I took time off work to make sure she could be seen. When we arrived, I was told their scheduling department made a mistake and that Nevada Foot and Ankle does not accept HPN Medicaid as primary insurance. I was told that if I paid $211 out of pocket, my daughter could still be seen that day.

I explained that I had less than $5 in my bank account and that I had promised my daughter she would finally get relief from her pain. I was told I could reschedule, but I explained she would be with her father for the next two weeks and would continue to suffer until then. I was again encouraged to pay the $211.

I said I might be able to use my boyfriend’s credit card but that I believed I should be reimbursed if the scheduling error was theirs. After the staff spoke with Regional Director Portia Purvis, I was informed that because I mentioned seeking reimbursement through legal action, they would no longer see my daughter at all.

The most heartbreaking part of this experience was watching a 5-year-old child leave still in pain because of an error that was not ours. Families deserve accurate scheduling information and compassionate treatment, especially when young children are involved.

Doctor Larkin, my foot doctor was outstanding. He took excellent care of both me and my husband. He was incredibly kind, caring, and professional. He took the time to listen to our concerns, explained everything clearly, and never made us feel rushed. He made us feel comfortable and truly cared for. His assistant was also wonderful and had a great sense of humor, which made every visit enjoyable. We are so grateful for the excellent care we received and highly recommend this office.

I have been coming to the clinic for about 2yrs. I have never ever had a bad experience. The office staff has changed but they have all been professional and helpful. Dr. Tilton is an amazing guy he listens and provides the best he can possibly offer. I say this because I deal a lot with medical professionals and they are not all caring and polite. So to leave after getting procedures and having pain, for people to show you empathy and grace that’s speaks volumes for me. Thank you Dr. Tilton

This was my first visit with Dr. Reed and everything went smoothly from check-in to my appointment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Reed took his time and explained different things to me. I highly recommend him & the staff at this office.
