I arrived late due to vehicle problems, but the service was prompt and helpful and the receptionist went above and beyond to get me in for my lab work. Thanks to everyone for your professionalism and care and getting me in for my appointment.

Had scheduled lab appointment 23 April at 730. The lab tech did a great job despite unknowingly i am a hard stick patient. Felt no pain and she was able to get my blood with no problem. Want to recognized Nina lab tech, has great customer service as well at checking in window representative ( did catch her name)

Quiet and less stressful than the hospital for certain. Plenty of parking available, great volunteers at the front to offer assistance if needed. We get all of our medical needs taken care of here except specialty care that has to be done at the main hospital. There's a lab, X ray, as well as mental health section on top of our PCM and we're grateful that it's an option for us to use

Beware of the medical professional (I use that term loosely) named NP Granello. This guy is the worst of the worst. He has another complaint against him from the Southwest Clinic. Avoid him at all costs. This location will also drop appointments so be aware.

I am a patient transferring over from Salt Lake City VAMC. Been trying to get an appointment with a primary care that isn't 60+ days out.
Got a phone call from the Primary Care Nurse: Maria Tan and she basically tells me 'tough luck, try a walk-in and hope for the best'. Asked her politely if she could leave a note with the front desk to have them call me to schedule an appointment sooner and she tells me 'I am too busy to send notes to anybody. Why don't you just call' After explaining to her that the appointment lines are busy 60+ minutes and drop your call for no reason.
Been a patient with Dallas VAMC, Kansas City VAMC and Salt Lake City VAMC. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had to deal with from a primary care provider.
If you get her as a Nurse Practitioner run away!

The Nurses, Doctors, Mental Health practioners, Nurse Practioners, VA Police, and volunteers are really nice and good people! They try their best and do well to serve patients, and undergo alot of training and updating of skills and knowledge to constanly improve service to veterans! I 've been going here for over 6 years now, and have received excellent care!

Today August 2, 2023 0930ish my husband tried to call his PCM and had to go through the front desk to speak w them first. He waited his 15 minutes and only to have a women pick up and seemed unaware that she picked up the call because she was talking on and on about something personal. He said hello and she seemed shocked and gasped followed up by hanging up on him. VERY ANNOYING AND DISAPPOINTING. Called again and waited an added 20 minutes. Will try to report this in other ways too, they are dealing with people's health and need to be aware of the implications.

This place is a joke. Labs take forever. Your doc is not gonna see you until 20 minutes past your scheduled time. There is just so much demand and not enough support. Half of the staff here donβt want to be here because of the lack of support and they face our complaints.

Cancelled appointments. No in person appointments. I record my video appointments so I can remember what they say, but a couple times I record the video appointment and no one comes on. I call the office and they get me in touch with my provider via phone and she makes it sound like itβs my fault. Call their number from the voicemail and letter when they canceled on me, and they transfer me to VA main hospital, VA main transfers me back and this clinic hangs up on me. Multiple times. Canβt reschedule my appointment. Not worth it. Iβll figure something else even though I donβt work right now. Call Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) to let an independent, non-government group, know if this has been happening to you too.
Itβs a new location, that is nice. The volunteers here are the stars. Not all is bad.

When you call to make an appt sometimes they can be so rude, I had a rude guy who was laughing, respond with smart remarks, telling me itβs my fault on Monday around 230pm. They donβt know what a person health issues are or what we are going through. The manager of the call center donβt even take the time out to call you back to see what the problem was.

Lovely grounds with a very well established system of care. If every VAMC functioned as well as this one does there would likely be less complaints related to quality of care. No place is perfect of course, however the folks working here deserve to know that we appreciate their dedication, hard work, and care!

There are some great things about this office including their peer services, therapists, the volunteers, and the cops/security. The facility is clean and quiet. However, everyone who is an administrative worker here should be ashamed of either themselves, their staff, or their co-workers. If you have a mental illness and are hoping for sensitive and kind treatment, I promise you wonβt receive it from the enrollment office. The enrollment administrative staff and their direct supervisor will be short with you, belittle you, judge you, and may even make impolite statements about your income. If youβre going to enroll, try the main hospital, THEN use the services at this location. They may even lose or misrepresent your paperwork. If you have thick skin then this may not be an issue for you, but if youβre like me and this was a last ditch effort to get mental health services, then try elsewhere first.

Daugmann and Allen Nurse Practitioners and thier nursing teams are useless.
Left 5 messages before anyone got back to me.

My PMC went on Military leave and they used that as an excuse. If your in pain they will treat you like an addict. Its sad to see doctors not treat you, but they are quick to shove 9 pills a day down your throat when you tell them its not working they dont care. Horrible treatment they would rather you kill yourself then treat you with proper care. This is why 22 veterans a day commit suicide.

I don't recommend this place at all. My husband has had a kidney infection for a month now and he had been trying to see Dr. Sarkissian. This dr. has scheduled, canceled, rescheduled, and canceled again. When he did see the dr. he didn't listen. Told him his kidney infection would go away by itself. He didn't prescribe any antibiotics and didn't offer any services to remove the six kidney stones. He also had shrapnel in his foot. Now my husband went to Summerlin ER because his foot had been in excruciating pain. They did xrays and bloodwork. They found severe gout and it had caused his foot to hurt because of the shrapnel. The doctor there removed the four pieces of shrapnel since they were surfacing. They gave him scripts for pain and gout. They referred him to an ortho dr. Now he has to wait for the tests to come back for the infection. They have done more than what this VA doctor and VA ER has done which is absolutely nothing. Yes I am an annoyed military spouse. I don't see how you can be a VA doctor and not put your patients first. YOU are responsible for that patient. I have worked in healthcare and have never seen such bad care. It seems like the doctors don't care there. They treat these Vets like pawns. I wish I didn't have to give a star because they don't deserve any.

wow, place is going down hill really fast.. there are no checks and balances at this place.especially accountability.
they keep switching diagnosis on me and wont give me questionnaire or assessments for the disorder i have . they try really hard to lean against your so called non service connected disorder over service connected diagnosis.
Even when u haven't applied for a non service connect disability and there not consistent if they can rule out subjective information with liberal elaborated health care bias. but yet they guard u with other so called disorders that's not relevant to your service connected disabilities .
Especially when you have an 10 year appeals process going on with a service connected disability.
they give u no option. you have no choice but to take out a medical loan to see private doctors or they will bring more VA people to lean into there own sail of medical muddle . VA medical has become a Scam artist when robbing your VBA decisions .
if its service connected depression they say personality disorder , if there wrong and u prove them wrong by other doctors, they lean into mood disorder and if its not its bi polar and it bounces constantly to all diagnosis..its happened to me over a decade and it proves in medically that they don't know what they are doing , one hand washes the other for there so called employee incentives.
there getting so bad they voided me out of my referral due to patient/doctor ethics that require consent .
and not only did the program voided me out but did not document my disability factors to seek help within the required referral. i mean bad on bad i dont know what else to write.

Terrible. I have made 3 appointments to see a pcp as I haven't seen a doc in years. It takes on average 1.5 months to be seen. I call a few days prior to confirm as I have to take time off from work and each time they canceled my appointment without telling me. Then I get a letter in the mail about a week later stating I missed my appointment. 3 times this has happened over 5 months! Now I need to see a specialist but can't do so because I don't have a recommendation from a pcp. My meds ran out 6 days ago I have called 8 times to get a refill, no refill yet. I just get bounced around from one place to the next. Please hold while I transfer you, please hold while I transfer you. I'm done, I get that it's technically "free" health care but what's the point if you can't get the care.

The hours of operation are a mess. The clinic recently changed to 0700-1800, Monday through Friday, and 0730-1600 on Saturday.
HOWEVER, the lab closes at 1530 and imaging closes at 1545. So if you're advised to fast for your labs, and your appointment is after 15:30, either get in early or do it the day before.
The VA website for this clinic has their old hours, which were only until 1600, but did not (and does not) list separate hours for different clinic functions.
The care is pretty standard GP-level stuff. They're good about referrals and are easy to reach by phone.
I do not recommend mental health services at this location. The social workers are pretty good, but the psychiatrist needed to retire long ago.
Bottom line: confirm hours several times before you show up and go to the main hospital at Pecos and CC215 for mental health services.

hope the accountability act kicks in real quick with this place. union workers are proven not compatible with veterans. this place is proof.
record everything they say.
they like to accuse rather than diagnosis . front desk staff treats u like second hand citizens, such as social security loafers.
doctors are more employee related than medical related as finding any conditions they may result the va spending more time and money. had a doctor almost 8 years as never recommended me therapy in this clinic..

Doctors at the VA are licensed to prescribe only what the VA has contracted for. They are NOT able to write scripts for medications available outside of the VA system. If there are problems with obtaining scripts that the VA cannot contractually prescribe, use your Medicare! The VA system in Southern Nevada is terrific! Best medical care I have ever received in my 40 years living in Las Vegas.

I don't really come on here and share my thought much. But I just have to ask... Does it seem right that when you go to your Doctor and inform him that a medication he has prescribed you is not helping you. But another medication that you found that is helping and you would like to take instead. Your Doctor's response shouldn't be, "We don't issue that. You can't get it. What do you want me to do?" You are my Doctor! I want you to listen to what I am telling you is and is not working for me. I want you to help me! Only to to be told again that you will not get the medication that has helped you for years in the past and proven to work. Instead you will continue to receive the same medication that does not help, that has deteriorated your physical health and has given you no benefit. And when asked why, you are given no good reason. No reason that is worth your continued diminishing health. Even asking for a script so you can purchase it with your own money, again no! They will prescribe you stronger, harsh medication. But not the first line treatment that is standard for countless others! Maybe it's just me. But I don't feel like this right or fair be have to deal with this from your VA Hospital who is suppose to provide you with all care and treatment for the conditions that you have developed while serving your country. Am I wrong?
