Unfortunately, the front-office environment here lacks basic patient consideration. I came in for a painful eye injury accompanied by an intense headache, only to wait in a lobby where the front desk was blasting loud rock music. Asking the staff if the volume was suitable for a clinical waiting room was met with a dismissive, unprofessional attitude. A medical office should offer a calm, healing environment for people who are hurting. Managing two medical practices myself, I know firsthand that patient care starts at the front door—and this team missed the mark completely.

For vision they are fine. But if you have a disorder DO NOT go here. The solution they prescribe will make you blind and wall greens specifically asked me if it went in my eyes and that’s exactly what the eye doc told me was ok. I bought a script to put on my eyes and it can make me blind. When asked about it they say that never happens and they prescribe it to everyone.

I had an extremely unprofessional experience at this office that ultimately forced me to walk out and cancel my appointment.
When I politely declined the eye puff test, the technician had an intensely disproportionate reaction. Rather than professionally explaining whether the test was required by insurance or policy so I could make an informed decision, the situation devolved to the point where two separate staff members confronted me, claiming I had "made the technician cry" simply by setting a basic boundary regarding my own medical care.
Holding a patient responsible for a staff member's standard emotional response to a simple refusal is absurd and unacceptable. Refusing a routine test is a normal part of medical consent and should be handled with professional, clear communication—not dynamic guilt-tripping, blame-shifting, and emotional drama. I will not be returning to a clinic that handles standard interactions in such an unprofessional manner.

I go to this place because I broke my glasses (no big deal) so I get my eye exam and buy some glasses but the sales lady is super pushy on me upgrading my lenses and I go with what she is saying and buy the more premium lenses that she insisted that I needed. I’m told that the glasses would take 1-2 weeks to be ready and that’s all good because I have a 30 day supply of contacts. Well 3 weeks go by and they call to say that my lenses have been lost and new lenses have been ordered on expedited shipping and that I would 100% have my glasses in a week. Well over a week later I haven’t heard anything so I call. They tell me those lenses that where pushed on me have been back ordered, well I would have never bought them if they weren’t available! I need to have working vision!

The lady on the phone was trying to convince me to come back, pay for a contact fitting and buy contacts! So you delay my shipment to extract more money from me?! I immediately reject that trash and I was offered a refund (but requires me to file a reimbursement with my insurance before I can order glasses from somewhere else) or wait an indefinite amount of time for my ordered lenses to come off of back order status.

This rating reflects my interaction today with Elizabeth. I was told that a message was left for me on February 2; however, I have no record of receiving that voicemail. I was also informed that my glasses had been sitting in a bin without any additional follow-up notification.

What was most concerning was the lack of acknowledgment of a possible communication breakdown. Instead, the situation was presented in a way that placed responsibility on me for not picking up the glasses, despite not receiving confirmed notice that they were ready.

Considering my eye appointment took place in December 2025 — and this was already a replacement pair due to the first pair having an incorrect prescription — I expected clearer and more reliable communication regarding their readiness. Being told that I could not talk to a manager and speaking with a manager would result in the same response was also disappointing.

It was not just the situation itself, but the dismissive tone and implication that this was my fault that made the experience particularly frustrating.

Timely, documented customer communication and accountability are important, and in this case, those expectations were not met.

Usually, no issues or concerns, but on the recent visit, they dilated my stepson's eyes after asking if he could go first, since he had a job interview after our eye checkup. Also, it was alarming that, in all the years we've been going to this office, we NEVER had our eyes dilated, and we only do the eye scan every other year during our appointments, which would have been on record in our files.

When my wife was informed that he was having his eyes dilated and appeared upset, the office staff insisted on his being 18 and technically an adult, and why they didn't validate with us, even though we arrived as a family for check-ups. The young staff and lack of engagement as repeat customers to this office changed our perspective on this location and may look into a more professional run office that doesn't look to process you through like cattle and have enough insight to engage records and ask questions when someone appears confused or unsure about the process about to be performed.

The only issue I had was other doctors barging into my exam room with their patients—three times! It felt like they were trying to rush my doctor out so they could get in the room. There was no respect or privacy, and I felt rushed through what could have been a very serious eye issue. Optic Gallery, if you need more space to accommodate your staff, then get it. If this was a scheduling issue, do better. If you’re just trying to rush people out early, that’s unacceptable. The only saving grace here was that my doctor was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and thorough.

Upsold on special lightweight lenses with a coating that helps with working on computers all day. The prescription was wrong which took awhile to realize after having constant headaches. This is also after years of going there and having the same prescription at new annual visits for at least 3 years. Went back to my old pair and called to let them know. I was told via email, which they still have record of themselves, that this would fit under the 1 year lense warranty. Upon calling to try to schedule this to be fixed before the year was up. I was told I can't have them fixed and I'd have to pay for new lenses as I sit here wearing my over 2 yr old pair with peeling film because they are easier on my eyes. Over 300 down the drain for glasses I can't wear and they are trying to get me to pay that again. Feels like being robbed. I've gone here for years, but the staff, management and drs have all changed and after this I don't even trust them anymore. It would be different if I had been told that I needed to come in within x amount of days or they wouldn't be able to, but I was told it applies to the 1 year lense warranty. Boo hoo for me I guess.

I had the worst customer experience I have ever had. I was running behind, and I called your office to inform them that I would be 8 minutes late. They assured me it would be fine. However, upon arrival, the staff were rude and condescending, refused to see me and still charged me a no-show fee.

When I mentioned that I had called, the receptionist raised her voice and insisted that the fee would still apply, even though I had informed them of my delay. She also stated that she would need to check if the doctor could still see me.
When I requested to speak with a manager, she declined.

This individual has been rude and condescending to me in the past. unrelated to any tardiness on my part.

She is also not the only one with an attitude. My husband has a similar experience and refuses to return to your office.

Despite giving your practice multiple chances, hoping for improvement, it seems this behavior is how your staff are trained to treat customers. Clearly you do not value your practice, and I too will not be returning.

Music in the lobby was way to loud. It would be better if the tech who does your initial testing introduced themselves or at the very least wore a name tag. I love Dr. Frillarte, and she is the reason I keep coming back.

At the front everyone was very friendly & welcoming. Dr. Hartman was very informative & I felt like he really cared about making sure my needs were met. I really appreciated that.
