I am shocked to see any bad reviews. I am just shy of 70 years old and have multiple health concerns. My primary doctor has completely missed the cause for several of my illnesses even sending me to several different labs for testing. Twice I have come in with concerns about different unrelated flareups. Twice Dr. Karen has isolated the cause and provided treatment and even giving me a follow up call the next day to see how I was. The service here reminded me of back home with the old country Doctor. My primary seems to only be interested in sending me out for expensive labs and not trying to find a solution.

Unfortunately, they have one young woman at the front desk who does not have a clue what it takes to be professional at work. She wants to make the fees a guessing game even when you call in before walking in. She interrupts you rudely and criticizes you for being surprised at info she failed to provide on the phone even though it was the easiest thing in the world to do and what anyone thorough would have done. And if you're too lazy to do that, okay, but then don't also get instantly nasty and disrespectful when people are surprised. I would have stayed, but not if I have to deal with someone that toxic.
You're not on a reality show, so don't bring your ego and attitude to work. Especially when you're dealing with people seeking medical care.

On Saturday, February 28 at approximately 4:40 PM, I walked into FirstCare Urgent Care because I was experiencing an unusual sensation in my chest near my heart. The feeling had been occurring intermittently for two days and had become more consistent that day. At 41 years old, I wanted to rule out a potential cardiac issue.
When I arrived, I specifically asked whether they had an EKG machine and whether they were capable of running tests to evaluate my heart. I was told they did. Based on that representation, I chose to proceed with care at that facility.
What I was not aware of at the time is that their capability appears to be limited to performing a single EKG β without the ability to run additional cardiac labs, monitoring, or further evaluation. That distinction was not explained to me.
Instead of being triaged immediately, I was directed to complete online intake paperwork, which took approximately 10 minutes, and I was required to pay a $125 visit fee before evaluation. I then waited in the exam room for approximately five additional minutes without monitoring.
Only after expressing discomfort about being alone in the room with ongoing chest symptoms was I promptly connected to the EKG machine. After the test, I waited again and was then informed that I needed to go to the hospital three minutes away because they could not provide any further cardiac evaluation. I was also informed of an additional $50 charge for the EKG.
In total, roughly 25β30 minutes were spent on intake, waiting, and limited testing β only to be told they were unable to provide definitive care beyond the initial EKG.
If my symptoms had represented something serious, that time would have mattered. More importantly, had it been clearly communicated at the outset that the facility was not equipped to manage potential cardiac complaints beyond a single screening test, I would have gone directly to the emergency room.
For comparison, when I arrived at the hospital, I was immediately triaged and placed on cardiac monitoring before completing paperwork β which appears to be standard protocol for chest-related complaints.
My concern is not simply about cost. It is about transparency and prioritization. Patients presenting with chest symptoms should be triaged immediately, and facilities should clearly communicate the limits of their diagnostic capability so patients can make informed decisions.
Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this location.

This was one of the most uncomfortable experiences Iβve ever had in a medical office.
When I arrived, a young woman working at the front desk appeared to be receiving criticism from a staff member. The interaction was tense and uncomfortable to witness. During this time, I was unable to pull up my registration form on my phone, and a staff member β whom I later learned was named Alex β said, βJust do the paper,β without making eye contact. I was unsure if she was speaking to me because she never looked up.
What was most concerning was that the staff member proceeded to reprimand and terminate the front desk employee in front of patients in the lobby, stating, βI just have to keep telling you the same thing over and over.β I was shocked. Then she told her to leave, and the woman physically got up and walked out of the building in front of us. Immediately afterward, she addressed those of us sitting in the waiting room and said, βIβm sorry, I just had to get that on camera.β This occurred between approximately 2:45β3:00 PM and should be visible on security footage.
I do not know the history or circumstances surrounding the employee who was terminated. However, if her training and supervision were conducted under the same staff member involved in this incident, it may be worth reconsidering her dismissal and providing an opportunity for retraining under more professional guidance.
I was referred to this office by my sister, who had a positive experience, but this incident created a very unsettling first impression.
The medical assistant who brought me to the back introduced herself as Alex. She asked for my height and weight and completed the intake process. Had this been my only interaction, I might have assumed she was simply busy or overwhelmed. However, as someone who has worked for over 20 years as a medical assistant and administrative scheduler, the overall conduct I observed greatly impacted my confidence in the professionalism of the environment.
I fully understand that staff corrections and performance issues must sometimes be addressed. However, these matters should never be handled in front of patients. The lobby is not an appropriate setting for disciplinary action. First impressions matter, and professionalism in patient-facing spaces is essential to protecting the reputation of the practice and maintaining patient trust.
I hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended β to encourage professionalism and protect the integrity of patient care.

Dr Steven was amazing. He explained everything so thoroughly, in a way that no doctor has ever explained to me before. At one point he was going to give me a medication and I told him a concern I had about taking the medication. He told me he really thought it would be great for me. But then, he came back later and told me he thought it could cause the concerns I had so he didn't want to prescribe it after all. He listened to my concerns 100% during my visit and that is a sign of a truly professional and caring doctor.

OMG, I canβt recommend this place enough. Iβve gone to their office, as well as their virtual appointments they offer. Iβve been too many urgent cares in the past, Iβve struggled finding good care, and this place has offered everything and More. When they werenβt sure about something, they researched until they were, they made the extra effort to make sure I was leaving feeling better. They even called back the next day to make sure what they did was working, and if my pain was subsiding.
If you want an urgent care that is fast, cares, and is knowledgeable, then this is the place to go. I would trust this facility with my life, and itβs unfortunate that theyβre an urgent care because I would be honored if one of them could be one of my primary care physicians.

My daughter (15) did not want to go due to her fear of the phlebotomist and others bad experiences. Once we got there we were greeted, assisted, and seen not so long after. The CMA or back office nurse was amazing with my son (3) and kept him distracted while taking my daughter vitals. Shortly after the urgent care physician came in and checked my daughter. She (the physician) ordered blood work my daughter began to worry & pretty much didnβt want her blood drawn. However The phlebotomist was so patient & informed her how important it was to get her blood. He did such an amazing job drawing her blood that she literally only wants to go to him for any and ALL blood work. Highly recommended

Let me tell you from the outside. It looks small but inside it's big. For starters the customer service is top of the line. I was here 5 days ago I came sick as a dog.
I had the nastiest head cold, fever, Headache, running nose, bad cough, I had everything you can imagine. The ladies at the front had so much patience I did the registration online.
And I did it wrong but with their help they made it better for me. And I went in fast the gave something to take inside to help my breathing my lungs were shutting down.
And today 5 days later I came back again. I brought my wife and daughter whatever virus I had I was the carrier it was so strong I gave it to the entire house. One by one they all got sick. But the level and professionalism that the ladies gave to us was awesome. We left so please with their service. That we decided to come back again. My wife and I were so pleased with their service care that such little place had so much to offer.

CareFirst at Blue Diamond is known for its kindness and good service. They are compassionate and sensitive to children, making treatment easier. I recommend it 100%. The only thing I would improve is that there would be more staff, because the front desk is attended by the medical assistant making longer the services. In another hands rooms needs a little more cleaning attention. Other that that excellent service.

I came into this office with an itchy and irritated ear that Has been going on for an extended period of time. The physician looked inside my ear to see that I had one of my own hairs ,from my head wrapped around my tympanic membrane (ear drum). she prescribed me drops to flush it out and cream for the eczema inside my ear canal ,caused by the irritation of the hair. Within a day of taking the drops the hair became removed and the swelling of my tympanic membrane was greatly reduced. Now 6 days later after using the drops and the cream I am experiencing no more itch or irritation of my left ear.

Never left a review before until now:
Went in for an uncomfortable situation and felt really embarrassed, but the nurse, as well as the man who administered the urine test and the woman who administered the blood test were very kind.
Gentlemen who brought me to the room to do the urine test & vitals, I struggled explaining my problem and he reminded me that's what they were there for and was very patient & kind when waiting for me to do the urine test.
To the nice lady who drew my blood, she did a great job and we talked about the difficulties I had with people drawing my blood before because of my veins being small, but she was amazing & I didn't feel it at all. She was such a sweetheart holding a conversation with me, & already being very uncomfortable and embarrassed for my visit, she managed to make me feel comfortable being there. I hope to have her again if I ever need to go back there for help. Her kindness & confidence shined through, it felt as if I was speaking to a friend. Thank you ma'am!
Thank you to the nurse as well. I was very scared and she was very calm talking to me & explaining the possibilities of the outcome, but was very kind and helped me stay content during the process.

today was my first ever urgent care experience and iβm so grateful for how smoothly everything went at carefirst! i arrived around 3:30pm and luckily it was slow so i paid my copay and was in and out. the doctor was able to help with all my concerns right then and there, being supportive and caring the whole time. i donβt know why i was so worried about having to go to in.. but iβm glad i did. would def recommend the team here.

As soon as I arrived , I was greeted professionally by the front desk. The registration process was online followed immediately by taking of my vitals. The doctor who saw me knows exactly what she is doing promptly had my respect and trust for my care. Of course it helped she is a βkababayanβ or βpaisanoβ as the Mexicans would say. I came as an urgent care patient and left with a new primary care physician.

I am from California were the urgent cares are understaffed, older buildings that do not give you much confidence. The staff spend very little time with you and are in a huge rush to get patients in and out like cattle.
The carefirst urgent care was clean and the staff spent alot of time with us. The doctor genuinely cared and gave my son Tylenol and rechecked his heartrate herself rather than having a nurse do it. They gave us great ideas for over the counter home treatments as well as ordering him medication. They were proactive, doing multiple tests to try and figure out what his symptoms were from. Flu, covid and strep testing

Removed the staples from my head in 2 minutes. Went to CareNow before here and they spent 15 minutes pulling and twisting the staples to the point it made it bleed. This place did it in 2 minutes with no pain. Very experienced nurses and doctors
