I've been with my Dr. Judy Liu for several years. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and matter-of-fact. The services she provide are excellent. The 2-star rating is for the wait time. My appointment was at 10:10 and I was not called into her office until 12:25 where I waited some more. Well over a two and a half hour wait before being seen. It is almost always a long wait time whether in the Henderson Office or first time in the Centennial Office.

Then Dr. Amar Mannina.When you are facing a "tough situation" with your eyes he's the guy you want in the trenches with you.

Only thing bad about this place is waiting. Got there on time, waited 30 minutes before seeing a nurse. Got that done in 10 minutes. Waited another 2 hours, even stopped the one of nurse to ask why cause people were sleeping. Before seeing a doctor for guess about 20 minutes of treatment. Doesn't know how to schedule people? How about learn how to. Next appointment, I schedule for afternoon. Will see. Still the same. This place seems make you wait, why? Why can't you schedule patients according to treatment time. Why waits a 2 hours to see a doctor for less than 5 minutes. NOT GOING BACK. DID NOT MADE ANYMORE APPOINTMENTS.

She asked questions in a rapid fire fashion then when she got what she gave from me, she started raising her voice at me. She then made smart alic comments about me to the person she was training. I recently saw Dr.Mannina at Retina Consultants of Nevada. It was an early appointment. When I came in to the office and started telling the receptionist that I did not have my ID or Insurance card. I did not start with who I was and that I had an appointment. She asked if I had an appointment and who I was. I appreciate her patience. Dr Mannina is very clear when he explains what he has seen and what needs to be done. I let him know the way he touches your eye and shoulder when he is saying where to look it is very helpful. I let him know this is very helpful for people who are Deaf and using an interpreter. He can explain (utilizing the interpreter ) to the Deaf client that when lights are out what to expect next.

Care is excellent, but wait times are ridiculous. It takes 15-30 minutes for eyes to dilate. They tell you to plan on 2-3 hours, and they take this long, when actual time with providers, plus time for dilating, is less than 45 minutes.

Love everyone there except the receptionist!!!! Very rude and unhelpful snappy and make your visit very uncomfortable!!!!! Never used to be that way!!!!! I believe she is a new receptionist they must bring back the old they need better customer service at the front desk!!!!! And the sad part about it is I find out that she is the manager of the front desk area it is already very uncomfortable to come and get a shot in your eye but then to come and have to deal with such a rude obnoxious employee it’s so unacceptable I love my doctor and her staff and everybody else in the clinic but if I have to locate somewhere else to get rid of this anxiety I will have to do so and it’s sad because I’ve been coming to this location for over 5 year now and love my doctor and her staff but I cannot deal with the receptionist any longer this is three times in a row that she has been downright rude I’ve had to ask her to calm down other patients had to come help me please I ask you correct this behavior with her!!!!!!!!!!! Doctor Lou is fantastic but besides that the front desk is very unhelpful, there was myself and a gentleman that was having problems. There’s no reason why we cannot have someone to help us check in. We’re here because we have eyesight problems and to be treated like a child is unnecessary. You have to scan your debit card twice once for the visit and the ones for the procedure they make it very unpleasant to come and have an unpleasant procedure done. Thank God that I have a good doctor. That is the best otherwise would not be coming here. Specially, the front desk. She is a very rude unhelpful unpleasant person. this is twice that I have purchased the after shot eye drops the first time they were already expired didn’t realize it went to re-buy another bottle on March 24, 2026 and it expires on March 31, 2026 and they sold it to me, knowing I couldn’t read the expiration date, went back in, asked for assistance on returning it. They told me they could not return it and that it wasn’t expired. I can still use it. Why are we selling almost expired eye drops to patients that can’t see the expiration date and no is willing to say anything, I was told by the office clerk that their office manager (Angela)instructed them to sell them because they were not expired! You only go every 4 to 10 weeks to get the injections in your eye so that means you can only use it one time!!!! The product should not be sold, and it should be pulled off the shelf and The office manager(Angela) should be demoted!!!!!!

It was my first visit. Dr. Liu seems competent but she is all business! She didn’t bother with the niceties of an introduction. I had to ask if she was the doctor when she entered the room. There was little education about my condition except to use the Amsler Grid weekly to monitor for vision changes, take PreserVision vitamins twice daily, and return in a year. They aldo provided an educational pamphlet. Hoping I made the right choice coming here. In the meantime, I plan to research other doctors. Vision is so important and I want to receive the best possible care.

I have to start by saying Dr. Manina is one of the best providers I have ever seen. His chairside manner is truly top tier! He explains everything so clearly and thoroughly, which makes you feel comfortable and confident in your care.

I previously had a really bad experience with another provider at this office (who is no longer there), and it honestly made me not want to come back. But when I first saw Dr. Manina, he reassured me that my experience with him would be different — and he absolutely meant it.

Let me tell you, it was GREAT and continues to be great! He has been amazing in helping me through my eye condition. I’m so grateful for his care.

Dr Amar Mannina was great. I had been referred to the Retina specialist due to my doctor seeing something he felt needed to be seen by a specialist. I first went to the Summerlin location. The doctor rushed through the very short exam and said everything was fine. I mentioned my doctor had a concern and I had previously had a tear in my retina. He took an extremely quick look and said it was a scar from my previous repair. I went back to my doctor whom immediately sent out another referral to a retina specialist. I didn't want the same retina doctor so I chose the Durango office. World of difference. Easy to get to without the hassle of the hospital traffic and parking nightmare. The staff at Durango are far superior to the staff at Summerlin. Dr Amar Mannina was able to see the tear in my retina right away and was able to repair it the same day without a long wait. The doctor and staff at yhe Durango office were friendly and professional. Happy to say this is my new permanent retina specialist.

Arrived early as directed to find out that the office was closed until my appt time. The office worker who opened the door said nothing to those of us waiting in the cold, not even hello. The employee who started my exam was friendly. The employee who set me up for Dr. Liu was apathetic. Dr. Lui has a horrible chair-side manner and acts like patients are a bother to her. I've seen her previously and is always the same. (I see +/- 15 different providers a year and she's at the bottom of the group.) If you can get a referral elsewhere you should, I only returned for continuity of care but not after this visit.

I was extremely disappointed by how little this practice values patients’ time. While the front-line staff was pleasant and professional, the overall operations appear designed solely to maximize the ophthalmologist’s billable time, not patient care.

After waiting more than two hours to see the doctor, I felt rushed and treated like an object rather than a person. During the exam, an intensely bright light was used with no regard for my obvious discomfort—I was visibly writhing in the chair, yet not even a brief pause was offered. I was simply told not to move.

The doctor’s demeanor was cold and impersonal, with a bedside manner better suited to a lab than a living patient. This experience was frustrating and dehumanizing. I strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere.

This place is very greedy all they think about is money not the patient I recently had a low blood sugar and they gave me a 2 oz bottle of apple juice and they take it out in your face as if they did you a great favor after I've been going there for years and every time I go there and they put an injection in my eye they charge the insurance company about $7,000 they have made over $100,000 just on me and yet they are so greedy worrying about a $1 bottle of apple juice which the next time I go there I will hand them the $1 to add to there greedy millionaire bank account I can go on forever but I will make this short

Waited 2 hours for the physician--but expected a long wait. Nurse advised taking medicated eye drops 2/day, but never called the prescription to my pharmacy that day. Drove to my CVS--blood in my eye, who said they didn't have prescription. Called your office next morning at 8:17. Require 3-4 phone calls, and hangups, but finally reach a person who advised prescription was called into my pharmacy--who doesn't open till 9:00. Good guess how long it will take to actually fill a medication needed to prevent an eye infection.

Another Retina surgeon was able to get me in and out of his office for a full Retinal exam in 40 minutes. This office takes three hours and thinks that’s normal.

It’s also hard for me to believe but true that they did not keep my imaging from my appointment three years ago to compare the damage/progress of my epi retinal membrane.

I don’t think I will be returning.

Arrived at their location at 910 for a 915 appointment. Waited approximately 20 minutes to be called back. Tech was very friendly and professional. Afterwards we sat in the waiting room for 2 hours before someone came and said they needed more photos of my eyes. This took about 5 minutes then back to the waiting room. After another 15 minutes, we were taken in to see the doctor. After another 20 minutes, the doctor came in. She wasn't friendly at all. Straight to business. After 3 minutes, she states she wants us to come back in 4 months. I asked if there was anything that could be done about the decreasing vision and was told NO. Then asked the question about waking with a film on my eyes and she said, that's not my job, talk to your optometrist and proceeded to walk out. 3 hours for 3 minutes of her time and she wants us to come back. I don't think so....

I’ve been going to The Retina Consultants for about 3 years, I just changed my location to the Durango office from the Summerlin office. I had issues with the Doctor at Summerlin, I won’t go into details, but he was horrible with me and he always caused me a lot of pain. I had my first visit with Dr Mannina yesterday…..he was fabulous! He explained everything to me thoroughly, very attentive and I didn’t even feel it when he gave me my eye injections! What a breath of fresh air. I was on the verge of ending my treatments. But not now. The staff there are all wonderful. Very friendly and caring.
