I had rotator surgery in both shoulders in the early 90s from on the job. Last few months the right side felt like I tore it again. Never met Dr Michilin till today. Good attitude. Knows his stuff and took xrays and put my arms through some physical tests and explained what needed to be done. I know good doctors when I see them and Dr Michelin is up there. We both agreed on what procedure was best for me and set a date. At my age, it's a replacement. Today's technology has improved so much, im actually looking forward to this.

Dr. Michelin went above and beyond for me when no other doctor would operate on me due to me being a salvaged product after already having 2 prior surgeries already done on that arm. He did 3 more surgeries on my shoulder over a span of 3 years and I am finally healed! I’ve been under Dr. Michelins care for almost a year now. I truly appreciated that he was very conservative in my care and did not just jump straight to surgery. Had my 3-month follow-up visit today with Dr. Michelin. I gave him 5 stars. He was professional, personal and knowledgeable. I trust his judgement and find him extremely competent. He initially diagnosed my unique shoulder pain when many other doctors couldn't. Then he performed the complicated major surgical procedure in one operation when it normally would require two. Dr Michelin suggested stem cell instead of surgery which I was happy about that
Stem cells put me into a lot of pain for a month so he suggested a steroid injection which took me completely out of pain and now one month out I feel it’s better then before the stem cell injection and no surgery Dr Michelin called twice during this time to see how I felt and how we can get me out pain . I was impressed , doctors rarely call their patient. I do recommend him .

Dr. Michelin has been wonderful. He takes the time to explain the procedure and the outcome and the expectations of the outcome along with making sure that everything is going well. He has even reached out when I had a concern and that’s very impressive to me. Shoulder replacement surgery. 5 days after surgery I did not need pain medication, but still sleeping in recliner. 3 months later I could touch hands over my head. Followed doctors recommendations all the way and today have little to no pain doing rehabilitation. Dr. Michelin is great! Cannot say enough.

It has been EXACTLY ONE YEAR TODAY SINCE I HAD MY SURGERY done by Doc MICHELIN on my left shoulder! I am one of the BIGGEST PROCRASTINATORS! I waited over 15 years to have the surgery and even took forever to write this review!

But I’m am so very THANKFUL for Doc Michelin! He was very welcoming, kind, knowledgeable and made the process I had been putting off for years and years due to fear very comfortable. The healing process has been amazing!

My shoulder used to dislocate for the craziest things, putting on a jacket, sometimes even just sneezing! I injured my tricep tendon and had to be out of work and needed surgery to return. Dr. Michelin and his staff were amazing throughout my entire process. Not only did he repair my injury but he made sure not to rush me back. As a first responder it was in my nature to want to go back asap. Dr. Michelin made sure that when I returned I’d have minimal risk of re injury and did not rush the process. I had a reverse shoulder replacement five years ago on my right side and I had a lot of problems and pain. (This was after two rotator cuff surgeries and a torn subscapularis repair) I went to physical therapy for almost two years and I still had a lot of issues with inability to move it and pain. Then in March of 2024 the pain became worse and I had a hard time moving my arm. I made an appointment with Dr Michelin and thank god I did. After xrays it showed that my implant was broken and loose and due to a technical error it wasn’t installed properly. I would need to have a revision surgery. Dr Michelin spent more time with my wife and I than my previous Dr did with all four previous surgeries. Dr Michelin explained all possible treatments options that were available. After Dr Michelin replaced the implant I have had regained most of my movement I had prior to the initial replacement five years ago. Dr Michelin is a outstanding, competent, caring, and compassionate surgeon and person! I thank God I found him and I strongly recommend Dr Michelin to anyone who has shoulder problems to consider him. You won’t be disappointed with the high quality of care he provides. I fell changing my air filters and fractured both bones in my Right Lower Leg. I’m a former Level 1 Trauma Nurse from the University of Michigan and knew right away the leg was broken in a few places. On October 25th I suffered a right radial head fracture. I know, I know, say it in English right! Well I fractured my right elbow. This is my dominant arm. Fracturing this part of my arm restricted me from being able to move or rotate my hand. If you would’ve asked me for a high five or a down low, it just was not possible. My arm was locked in an L position. I was eventually referred to Dr. Michelin. He was so pleasant to meet with. He explained all of the in’s and out’s of what surgery could or would bring for me. He provided me all my options and I chose surgery of course. Surgery went so smooth, no mishaps before or after. I have now completed 8 weeks of therapy and needless to say, I am soooooooo happy with my progress. I have great extension, my hand moves like before and I can now sleep with no pain. My scar from surgery, well I don’t notice it until someone ask about it. Although I have more work to do in therapy, if this is as far as my arm will go, I am still grateful. A thank you will never be enough to express my gratitude to Dr. Michelin. His kind and gentle bedside manner just adds to his great work. Oh and I’m definitely using my right hand while typing this and I was not able to do this before my surgery. Thank you again Dr. Michelin.
