I've been coming to this place for nearly a decade and it was always a great experience.
Until today.
When I spoke with a staff member on the phone two days ago to confirm my appointment, they informed me that my copay was only $10 with my insurance.
Today I come in and do my exam with contacts that I felt was rushed, I'm ready to pay, and only then I'm informed that my contact lens exam is $60, which makes it a $70 copay with insurance. I was not prepared for this. I don't bring up the conflict in the middle of the office and I paid it but I did call them back to give them the opportunity to assist me with a solution. I inform the staff member that I was not initially informed by the staff member I spoke with two days ago and I'm a bit confused about the situation. (They obviously didn't bother to look up my account to observe that I wear contact lenses when I was initially told it is $10). They say nothing without even an offer to a solution, finalize the phone call, and didn't seem to give it a second thought.
Very unfortunate.

I had a great experience at Sahara eye center. All of the staff and the doctor we're very friendly and accommodating. I was in and out fast and happy. Their office was very nice and so professional. I definitely would recommend this eye doctor.

Do no harm is the first responsibility of medical staff. The customer service and phone people are anxious and dismissive. We need low vision and found out their competitor Yesnik has more qualification with specific staff to cover our needs, and Yesnick can work with immunocompromised people. The Saraha Eye Center staff here refused to make accommodations and did not show any compassion at all. I would not risk my health by going here. If the doctors allow the staff to treat people like that, they must be mean, too.

We had an amazing experience with Dr Emma Vicuna. Our daughter only has one sighted eye- so it is a big concern for us to ensure that she is getting proper care. Dr Vicuna was very kind and professional and discussed our concerns and made the exam super easy and stress free (not an easy task with an almost 2 year old) I would highly recommend her to anyone who need pediatric care!

If you’re looking for an optometrist in southwest Las Vegas/Summerlin area, I highly recommend Dr. Emma Vicuna of Sahara Eye Center. She has been our family eye doctor since 2009. She’s compassionate, very good with children, and really takes her time to explain any eye concerns/questions you have for her. Her office is very clean and has variety of on-trend eyeglasses for adults and children to choose from. Last but not the least, her office staff are very accommodating and amiable. I only have praises for all of them.

Quick shout out to Sahara Eye Center. From the moment I made the appointment I was made to feel comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They made it easy for a first time visitor. Dr Kim was equally easy to talk with, explained things well. No one really looks forward to a Dr visit, but I will not be at all apprehensive about going back to Sahara Eye Center.

What can I say? Dr. Emma Vicuna Was amazing with my 4 year old daughter, she is nonverbal autistic kid and very active, and the doctor was really nice with her, she find out how to check her eyes between games and making her laugh , I’m forever grateful with her, nobody wanted to check my daughter until I found Sahara Eye center. Is amazing and very hard to find someone who loves their job like Dr. Vicuna. Thank you ! And thank you to all the wonderful staff and front desk! Everyone is so incredible and helpful!!

I'm always apprehensive to visit any doctor! I just had my first visit for a checkup with Dr. Vicuna and I had a great experience from beginning to end.

I had a 9:30 AM appointment and it started right on time. I called in with my insurance info (Aetna) when I booked the appointment so everything was good to go on the day of. The staff was very very friendly and got me through the initial tests before my comprehensive exam with Dr. Vicuna. They explained to me what each test entailed and were very helpful with any questions I had.

Dr. Vicuna was so pleasant and very thorough with explaining what she was doing throughout the exam. She really puts you at ease with her kind and pleasant demeanor which is great for me because I get tense quickly walking into any doctor's office, dentist, hospital, etc. As thorough as she is, she still gets you through your appointment quickly as she works with a professional sense of urgency. All my questions were answered and explained to me in a way that I can understand. Great stuff.

Dr. Vicuna is a great optometrist you can take your whole family to. Highly recommended for all your optometry needs. =)

Awesome service! They have been treating me so well that I have been recommending to new people. I just took my girl there, about to take my best friend. Dr.Lupei even spent the time to answer our questions and concerns, while also supplying very fast service, we also only spent $25 with the cheapest eye insurance we could find online.
