It was impossible to reach the office and by the time I did Dr. Rebecca Scherr had already made her mind to turn my daughter away even after having the appointments for months. The communication was very cold and following my interaction with the staff they failed to end the call which I then heard them finding different family situations laughable and poking jokes at those who they serve in office. Extremely disheartening and cold.

Dr Scherr is incredible! She truly is an angel on earth. Our child was suffering every single day of their life due to a Gtube. We were desperate as the Gtube should have never been placed to begin with but because of circumstances beyond our control, we had no choice. When we went to Dr. Scherr for another opinion, her and her right hand man (I believe they were studying to be a Gastro) took one look at our child and could see that they were miserable. Everything in their life was negatively affected and they were unable to move, reach milestones, and had so many health issues. Immediately Dr. Scherr went to work to try and help us. In time, Dr. Scherr was willing to give us a shot, and allowed our child to try and wean off the tube. It was the best decision for our child! In every way, our child improved drastically and very quickly! Then one day Dr. Scherr allowed for us to take their final wean away and ultimately their tube. Immediately we could see our child just seemed happier and the weight of the world on our shoulders has gone away. Without Dr. Scherr, none of this would have gotten better, our child would still be suffering, probably stuck to a machine the rest of their life, and we imagine they would be in a wheelchair for life and not gaining important skills too. We will forever be thankful for Dr. Scherr and we will encourage everyone we meet who live in the valley and have a child on a tube, to run to Dr. Scherr. She genuinely listens, cares, understands, and wants to make a difference. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are blessed to have found you!

Had a very disappointing experience when I attempted to take my 18 month old son to see Dr. Scherr. We waited weeks for the appointment only to be turned away the day of. When we arrived the front desk person informed us that new patients should arrive 30 mins prior to our appointment time.The instructions we received when we scheduled the appointment and the appointment reminder text message failed to mention or provide any guidance of this requirement. The front desk person called Dr Scherr to see if she could see us but was declined (waiting room was empty). I showed the front desk person the appointment reminder text message and they acknowledged the discrepancy but failed to do anything to address it. The entire experience was cold and disorganized and not consistent with other experiences I have had with other pediatric specialists.

My daughter was diagnosed FTT and I wanted to meet with Dr Scherr as a second opinion. Dr Scherr is amazing! I am so glad I found her and decided to get a second GI opinion for my daughter. She is a straight shooter, honest and warm. She personally called me on the weekend to confirm a prescription she sent to the pharmacy. That is above and beyond what you would expect from a doctor. When I had my follow-up with her, she remembered conversations and specific details that we discussed 2 months prior. I have seen many doctors for my daughter in Nevada and she is the first where I haven’t had to repeat the medical history of my child. I am impressed and delighted to be her patient. Thank you Dr Scherr. You are a breath of fresh air and I appreciate all that you have done for my family.
