I had a wonderful experience today at Shipp Endodontics today 7/6/2026. I was taken on time , diagnosed very quickly after having gone to a prior specialist who said the tooth did not need a root canal. I was taken very good care by Dr. Chapman and his assistant as they worked quickly to relieve me of major pain that has kept me up for weeks prior to this appointment. I am not one to ever question a professional, but I am glad I asked for a second opinion and ended up in the hands of Dr. Chapman. This is the place to go should you need specific specialist work done. The office is very nice and modern and in a great area of the valley. The first dental appointment I have EVER had that I did not have a panic attack. Dr. Morris and the assistant Melissa made my appointment as relaxing as ever. My biggest issue has always been getting numbed and when I tell you I did not feel the needle it was as if there was never one used, the process was that efficient and gentle. I was referred to Shipp Endodontics by my dentist for a root canal, and the experience exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, their service was outstanding. Wendy from the front desk contacted me promptly, clearly explained the procedure, and scheduled my appointment. She also let me know I could download and complete the required forms from their website ahead of time, which made the process even easier.

On the day of my appointment, Wendy greeted me warmly, checked me in, and explained my out-of-pocket cost after insurance was applied. Alicia, the dental assistant, then took me back for X-rays of the affected tooth. Dr. Brent Chapman reviewed the images and took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, which helped put me at ease.

When I returned for the root canal, Alicia prepared me for the procedure and ensured I was comfortable before the local anesthetic was administered. Dr. Chapman made sure I was completely numb before beginning, and I did not feel any discomfort at all. After completing the root canal, he took follow-up X-rays to confirm the canal was properly filled and sealed. I was then sent home with clear post-operative instructions.

This place is amazing! First I was met with a very warm welcoming by Lori. She was so very nice! I felt so relaxed once I walked in to this office. And I'm never relaxed going into any dental place. Next I was called back and helped by Melissa. She is amazing. I explained to her the bad treatment I had done by another dental office and she assured me that nothing like that would happen there. Then I met the amazing Dr. Ryan Shipp. Let me tell you, the only thing I felt was the novocaine needle. During the procedure both Melissa and Dr.Shipp asked me a few times if I was OK. I'm usually so tense that I'm making a fist and squeezing so hard that I leave marks in my hand from my nails. I didn't tense up one time! These people are amazing! Melissa called me the next day to check and make sure I was doing ok! The whole office staff is so friendly and they pride themselves on the moto "Treat others the way you wish others would treat you" I've always lived by the moto myself! Visiting Shipp Endodontics dental office was literally life changing for me.

I was referred to this office by my general dentist which happens to be next door -- they scheduled the visit for me to get a root canal done within a week. My first impression was how modern & clean the whole office was -- Wendy the coordinator was very welcoming and had dealt with my insurance and had pricing ready for me when I came in. Everything was very seamless and straight forward.

They called me back and took x-rays, Nerissa was very friendly and welcoming and ensure I was doing well my whole visit which I really appreciated when dealing with something invasive as a root canal.

Dr. Chapman and Nerissa worked so well together, having a root canal done from a general dentist ( from the past not current) was a completely different experience going to specialists. The procedure was painless and they were very professional. I was impressed by how fast Dr. Chapman was able to remove the pulp and file in the tooth. I expected to be a painful experience and I didn't feel much discomfort at all.

Life changing experience for me ( read below_

I've had issues with my rear molar tooth for about three years now, I had a filling in it from when I was younger and within the last year it started to really give me trouble.
Around the same time I started having sinus issues, constant sinus infections -- post nasal drip and mucus, not being able to breathe through my nostrils. I've done quite a few rounds of anti-biotics and never got any relief. I thought I had a deviated septum, Dr. Chapman looked at my x-rays and said I'm not a ENT, But you're septum doesn't look deviated.. and he could see how much mucus was in my sinuses. The tooth wasn't abcessed anymore because I had completed a round of anti-biotics before my root canal. I was in so much pain I was taking ibuprofen & tylenol quite a bit during the day trying to get any relief.

Within a hour of the procedure, I noticed I could breathe through my sinuses. I always thought potentially since my molar tooth is connected to maxillary sinus that maybe it could potentially be the reason I am having so much sinus issues and after three years of misery dealing with toon & sinus congestion. I am FREE!

Later in the day after my root canal, I went on a 3.5 mile run / walk and was able to breathe clearly, normally I would be out of breathe due to mouth breathing within a couple blocks.

Thank you so much Dr.Chapman and everyone at Shipp Edodontics, this procedure has gave me so much relief and I am beyond grateful. Hopefully I will never have to deal with a root canal again but this office would be my first choice .

Not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed and nervous when I was told I needed a notorious root canal on one of my back molars. Luckily, my dentist referred me to Shipp Endodonitcs.

After a few quick phone calls, they were able to fit me in for a root canal the next day, first thing in the morning, which was such a relief.

If you need a root canal this is the only place to go. I have had 4 procedures done here and I don't have any complaints. The Shipp brothers know what they are doing! The assistants and staff are all just top notch! I had 2 more procedures done a few days ago and I still give them ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐!! I was only scheduled for one root canal but he was able to do both of them in the allotted time. I had hardly any pain afterwards as well. They really know what they're doing. Today I had a root canal procedure that had to go through a bridge. I was very impressed with Dr. Shipp. I have had poor experiences in the past during gum surgery and root canals. Sometimes I felt sharp pain when nerves were touched. I told him I was nervous and he listened and addressed all of my concerns and questions. I asked him to give me a lot of novocaine and following that, I felt no pain. Dr. Shipp is very professional and kind. His assistant was wonderful and kept making sure I was fine. Dental procedures have always been a nightmare for me as I am a “high risk” patient due to allergy and other medical complications so when confronted with needing a root canal I was terrified to put it mildly!
After being cared for and treated by Dr Shipp and his wonderful staff I can say as long as I can have Dr Shipp do any future treatment I will be totally at ease.
Procedure from anesthesia injections to final sealant was TOTALLY PAIN FREE! He and his nurse Sherrie are caring, compassionate and put you totally at ease during the entire procedure and Wendy, his receptionist, is very sweet and helpful! Root Canal
I came in for what I thought was going to be an evaluation (s I was referred by another doctor) and walked out and hour later with a completed Root Canal, amazing for sure.
I have had multiple root canals and this was by far the least painful.
The procedure itself took just over 30 minutes, half the time he estimated.
I hate Novocain shots always have but these were quick and barely noticeable.
The office is a oiled machine from online forms to make paperwork easy, to various staffers working together making sure your experience is fully explained and moves quickly.
I don't give 5 stars easily but as far as a Endodontist experience goes this office deserves it.

You hear root canal, and you think - pain! From the numbing shots to the drilling to whatever else is involved....I just back from my root canal and I admit, I was so mistaken - it was LESS PAINFUL than a damn teeth cleaning!!

First, Wendy and Shawn are super nice! Then Dr. Ryan Shipp administered the numbing shots himself. I'm not sure what technique he used but I really didn't feel anything (maybe it was the distraction of him yanking on my upper lip :))

We waited 10 minutes and i was fully numb and they did their thing. They put this saliva catcher around the tooth that was worked on so nothing dripped down my throat. It was awesome. I'll I had to was relax. Shawn the assistant and the Doc checked in with me once in a while, gave me a heads-up on what was happening - BUT ALL THROUGH IT - NO PAIN.

It's just too bad I can't go there for my regular cleanings and anything else I might need. What a great experience from someone who really hates going to the dentist.

I would NEVER recommend this office. After a brief visit where I was referred to an oral surgeon, I paid my bill in full. Several weeks later their incredibly incompetent and unprofessional staff called me and said that they had accidentally gave me a refund and that I need to pay again. Rather than admit their error for a minor office charge, they proceeded to hound and harass me for weeks and months with phone calls and texts and finally sent my bill to collections, spending more hours trying to collect on their error than figuring out their own billing procedures. Incredibly incompetent and unprofessional office.

This was the easiest and least painful root canal ever. I have had a couple prior to going to Shipp Endodontics and it is insane how much better they are. Seriously the best dental experience I’ve ever had… Why did they have to be overachievers, why couldn’t they just be regular dentists?!! So unfair!
From the support staff to the doctors themselves everybody was so kind and understanding we're not there because we don’t need to relieve tooth pain (which is literally the worst)
Patient and understanding I really do wish they could be my regular dentist. And as much as I hope to never have to see them again if I do need any kind of endodontist work, I know exactly where I will be going!

First and foremost. I've been to Dr. Shipp twice, and his skills are amazing. One of the best if you need a root canal. This review is about his staff. Dr. Shipp should be embarrassed over his schedule maker named Sharon. If you can, try and avoid Sharon. She'll schedule you, then pretend you didn't have an appointment. This is unacceptable to me. I work ALL DAY and literally can't leave my job during the day.

Sharon I don't get up early to battle through traffic, go to Hendertucky and then have you say I don't have an appointment. Garbage!!!!

I live near Sarasota Lakewood Ranch area and my dentist was bought out by a large company called Sage Dental. My dentist left so I had to use theirs. The hygienist took an X ray at the beginning of this year and recommended some work so I said whatever you recommend. So they opened up my tooth and the dentist said oh I think you might need a root canal. So they put a temp on and rescheduled for another surgery. Waited 2-3 weeks and they opened it back up (I hate needles) and he after he puts the temp on, he says we need to go back in there and that I have long roots. Waited again and he opens it up , this is the 3rd time of getting needles etc. He takes an impression for the crown and reschedules while they wait for the crown. I show up to my appointment and they don’t have my impression yet. So they didn’t call me to inform me, so while I was there they fixed my temp and I had a small chip on my front tooth that they “fixed” . So it was time for my cleaning and while I’m there I asked if they can put the impression on bc it’s been a long time with the temp on. They couldn’t find my impression AND they said we have to do another one. Someone says from the back that there is an impression in there that’s been there for awhile with no name on it. They look at it and say yes I think this is his. They tried putting it on and took the temp off and it didn’t fit. Put more cement in my mouth and said we will order another one. Had another cleaning scheduled (this shows how long this process has been) and they said we can clean your teeth without having the crown. I asked is my crown there yet and they said we don’t know but will look into it and call you. I flew to Las Vegas at the beginning of July to get to Lake Tahoe. While traveling my chipped tooth that they “fixed” fell out and my back tooth where they still have the temp was killing me. I called on July 5th and left a message for them to call me to see if they can call in an antibiotic or pain reliever and no call back. Spent all day and night in Vegas with horrendous pain. Called a local dentist and they said they can squeeze me in but they don’t like going behind other peoples work. Showed up to the dentist and they took an X ray and said I need a root canal and that the dentist in Florida never finished it. He did not do root canals and that I need to see an endodontist. They called around and Shipp said he can do it at 1:45pm and it’s 9am so I’m just waiting, they call and said we can do 10:15 and I’m so excited for this needle to get me out of pain. I was welcomed to a friendly reception person Wendy I believe and then an extremely cool lady comes and takes great care of me by the name of Sorita. The doc came in and he exuded confidence that he can take care of this and he will knock this out. While I’m having another root canal on the same tooth. Sorita is rubbing my arm and putting me at ease like a family member would. I was literally crying that I was being taken care of and tearing up just writing this review. Later that day Sage dental finally called me back and left a message stating they are short staffed. Next time I need dental work, I just might fly to Vegas to have Shipp take care of me!

He Solved all of my sinus issues- I had an improperly installed crown that he fixed as well.

Dr. Shipp was great! I came in for a root canal, and I actually enjoyed the experience. I was in and out in less than an hour, and there was no pain involved whatsoever. One shot was slightly uncomfortable, but that was it.

The staff were all extremely polite and professional. The office was easy to get to, right off the 215. It was nice, clean, and comfortable.

I would definitely recommend this place!

I have been here a few times and I’m not going to say I enjoy it, but the entire staff is a phenomenal. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by reception, wait time is minimal, Dental assistants are always polite and I can’t say enough about DDS Morris (The one I see every time). Everything is explained to me in terms I understand, my questions are answered, options are given, if you have to see an endodontist, this is the facility to go to.

Calling a root canal "a wonderful experience" sounds like saying traffic is relaxing or that folding fitted sheets is fun-- but somehow, Dr. Morris and Melissa made it true!

I walked into the office teetering on the edge of full-blown panic, and within minutes I was completely at ease. They make an incredible team-- calm, professional, reassuring, and genuinely kind. Every accommodation I asked for was handled immediately, which made the whole experience so much easier

My overall experience was great. The location is EASY to get to. RIGHT off 215 and St Rose. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this clinic. Had a great experience despite why I had to be seen. No one wants to have a toothache. Im glad I was able to get it taken care of here. Not something you expect to say about a visit to the dentist. The staff was accommodating and patient even though I arrived 3 mins late. Especially the kind woman effortlessly managing the front desk when I arrived. Everyone I saw interacted pleasantly with their patients. I noted that someone, (who was waiting before I got there) was being updated on the status of her appointment. She seemed so comfortable she barely registered she was being spoken to. My dentist and his team were thorough, RESPECTFUL and supportive throughout. He regularly addressed me by my name during the appointment and offered opportunities for me to take a moment and relax throughout the procedure. The office was beautifully appointed. The chairs were not the brightly colored cloth loungers that, while fun and modern, can get dingy and worn very quickly. The chairs and sofas were leather, sturdy and comfortable. Classic but not stuffy and boring..
