Highly recommend if you think your baby might have a tongue tie. We only went in for a consultation, but Dr Tara was super kind and honest which I really appreciate. My baby did not end up needing the procedure and we were recommended other options. They will not try to sell you a something if it is not necessary, which is very refreshing.

I highly recommend Smart Mouth - Dr. Tara. I had a personal experience with the clinic and received excellent care from start to finish. Dr. Tara and her team were professional, kind, and highly attentive throughout the entire visit. The office runs smoothly, is well organized, and makes patients feel comfortable and valued. Dr. Tara's expertise, thoroughness, and compassionate approach are truly impressive. It is easy to understand why she receives so many referrals. I strongly recommend her to anyone seeking outstanding specialty care. Jenny.

First of all, I would like to highly recommend Dr. Tara for her excellent service and her wonderful team. Our appointments are always short, efficient, and very punctual.

I want to share that I had been searching for this type of treatment for my daughter since she was 4 years old. I already understood how important it is to start this kind of treatment at an early age, because the younger the child, the better the results.

I visited more than six dentists here in Las Vegas, and when I explained my daughter’s case, they all told me that I needed to wait until she was at least 8 years old to begin treatment. I knew that wasn’t necessarily true, since starting at a younger age leads to better outcomes. None of the dentists seemed to understand how important it is to begin this treatment early, even though it is fundamental for proper development. I felt so frustrated because no one seemed knowledgeable about the topic.

Finally, I found Dr. Tara. From the very first appointment, I felt supported and truly understood about something I had been navigating on my own for so long. When I left that first appointment, I even cried in my car because I felt that everything had been worth it and that I had finally found the right doctor.

We started the ALF treatment, and it has now been 9 months. I have seen an incredible transformation.

I definitely recommend this place.

Dr Tara & her team are a million out of 10! Our little girl had a bad tongue tie along with lip & cheek ties causing her to suck in a lot of air while feeding and reflux issues. Our pediatrician recommended a normal dentist for the procedure or Dr Tara. After our consultation with her and seeing the after care provided we felt confident in our decision to go with Dr Tara/Smart Mouth. We knew the recovery wasn't going to be easy, a big part is you as a parent doing the after care stretches. Did it suck, yes. But is my child 100 times better now, absolutely!

Every single person my family interacted with at Smart Mouth was kind, understanding, and VERY knowledgeable. I feel so fortunate that we received such excellent care for our little one. The holistic approach they take was well thought out and clearly communicated. We are so happy with the care we received here and refer anyone with a child with oral ties to them!

I want to be clear that Dr. Tara Erson herself is wonderful and not part of the issue. My frustration is solely with the front desk experience.

I reached out seeking care and explained that, due to financial limitations, the only imaging I could currently provide was recent medical CT/MRI studies. While I understood that a CBCT scan was preferred, the response from the front desk was rigid and dismissive, with no acknowledgment of my situation or discussion of temporary options.

Conversations about cost in healthcare require empathy and basic sensitivity. Being met with repeated policy statements instead of understanding made the experience uncomfortable and discouraging. This feedback is not a reflection of the doctor’s care, but of how financial concerns are handled at the front desk.

I've known Dr. Tara Erson for almost two decades—since dental school—and as a practicing dentist in Southern Utah, I can confidently say she is one of the most genuine, caring, and principled people I’ve ever met. She truly does the right thing for her patients and cares deeply about helping families—especially when it comes to something as important as a baby’s ability to feed, breathe, and thrive.
Her practice at Smart Mouth perfectly reflects who she is: focused on gold-standard, thoughtful care for tongue ties and lip ties, with a real emphasis on the full picture—easier feeding, long-term solutions, and genuine ongoing support for parents. I love how she highlights that feeding shouldn’t be hard, and that she’s built a team approach with lactation experts, bodywork, and no-rush visits to make sure every family gets personalized answers instead of a one-size-fits-all fix.
Dr. Tara’s website says it all—she’s committed to doing ties differently, using the best laser technology, and staying with families through the entire process (including her monthly trips to Southern Utah to make this level of care accessible here too!). It’s clear she’s not just treating symptoms; she’s invested in better health outcomes for kids and less stress for parents. As a colleague in the region, I consider her the best resource for tongue tie and feeding issues—we're fortunate to have her expertise so close by.
If you’re struggling with feeding issues or suspect a tongue tie, I highly recommend seeing her. You (and your little one) will be in exceptionally kind, expert hands.
Thank you, Tara, for staying true to your values and making such a meaningful difference in Las Vegas and Southern Utah families!

Smart Mouth is an invaluable resource for breastfeeding families! I have referred numerous lactation clients to them for oral evaluations, and the feedback is always glowing. Their work has directly contributed to the breastfeeding success of many mothers in my care. Professional, thorough, and incredibly supportive—I highly recommend them to any parent looking for expert dental care for their little ones.

Dr. Tara and her team are definitely the leading experts in oral ties, breastfeeding and airway issues here in Las Vegas- and probably the whole country in my opinion as a mom of four kids all born with substantial tongue ties! I have spent countless hours researching latch issues and breastfeeding complications. All my research always leads me back to Smart Mouth. Her office is full of so many resources. When my son was born with a severe tongue tie, she got him in right away and helped us get a better, more efficient latch while breastfeeding. I unfortunately suffered from mastitis and an infected clogged milk duct- they were there to help me, they even helped me massage the clog out and support me in every way I could ask for. My son's procedure was smooth and as low stress as possible. Their massage therapist was so sweet and calming with my baby. I've seen a few different lactation consultants at Dr. Tara's office and they've all been great. Dr. Tara herself is one of the most calming, kind doctor's I have ever spent time with. She takes time with each of her patients and never makes you feel rushed, there is no such thing as a stupid question with her, she will find you an answer and make sure you understand how to succeed at your feeding goals. Her office works like a well oiled machine! Dr. Tara cares about her patients and it shows! If you are looking for an all inclusive, well educated team- Smart Mouth is it!!!

The physical therapist my daughter saw primarily was Sam, she was great. The physical therapist my daughter saw sometimes (Madison) was also great. Unfortunately, the front end staff of this office made going to this facility unbearable. Do yourself a favor and just find some place else.

I was referred to this location from my son’s pediatric dentist. I called 3 times requesting a PHONE CALL because my son is now 4, and wanted to know the procedure for a lip tie, as it could differ from when he was a newborn when they cut his tongue tie.

I finally got a TEXT message requesting to fill out a form online.

I then got another TEXT message to schedule a consultation.

The lack of professionalism when someone asks for a phone call was my first red flag. Second red flag was that I received the text at 7:30AM on a holiday. When they finally called me, she refused to tell me about the procedure, and continued to try to get me to book the consultation for $100, and that they do not take any form of insurance.

Not only will I be looking for another Dr, I’ll also be telling the dentist who referred me about how business is practiced at this location

I was very skeptical of tongue ties when my first was diagnosed. I never got hers released and breastfeeding was dreadful and she has speech issues now years later. When my newest daughter was born and breastfeeding was a challenge I immediately went to a pediatric dentist to see about ties. That dentist was clearly just telling me what I wanted to hear and didn’t really explain anything. Before doing any procedure I wanted a second opinion and came to Dr. Tara. During my consultation she listened to the issues and explained how she could tell my daughter had ties on her lip and tongue. She even showed me cheek ties but didn’t jump to cutting them and showed me ways to massage them.

I got the procedure done with her when my daughter was 2 weeks old and it was a wonderful experience. The full body massage relaxed my baby and the actual procedure lasted about one minute total. The follow up appointments have been great to make sure everything progresses as it should and you can tell every single person in the office cares about my daughter as a patient and me as a mother who is breastfeeding.

Would recommend to anyone!!

Our newborn son had a lot of tension in his neck due to a long labor that was causing latching issues when nursing. Just after 2 body work sessions with Jennifer, we saw significant improvement in his mobility and willingness to turn his neck which led to an improved breast feeding experience. Highly recommend if your baby is experiencing the same. Jennifer was also wonderful to work with and made us feel comfortable as new parents figuring it out.

Dr Tara and her staff are so wonderful. We brought our 5 month old in for a tongue tie removal and 2 buccal removals. Her staff was great. From the body work to the procedure and the follow up, we felt comfortable and informed the whole process. We even got check in text messages from her and her staff through out his recovery. 3 weeks post procedure and hes eating better then he ever has and exploring his tongue. Id highly recommend them

Dr. Tara was absolutely amazing! She took care of my young boy who was dealing with speech difficulties related to tongue and lip ties. I loved that she was conservative with her approach. We did therapy first, which did help, but with ongoing deficits, my son was recommended a minor procedure to release his ties. He did absolutely amazing in Dr. Tara’s hands. He didn’t cry at all and didn’t need any time to recover. I’m very grateful for her expertise and care. Thank you!

It takes time and intense effort, but it’s all so worth it.

Our son had severe tongue and lip tie. Only two weeks after he was born I was seriously considering quitting the breastfeeding journey altogether. I was devastated. After taking him to see Dr. Tara, he was immediately able to latch correctly and fed without severe pain for me and extreme struggle for him for the first time. It was such a huge relief. It took 6 weeks for me to heal from damage done and two months later to have a WONDERFUL experience feeding him.

I’m so glad I didn’t give up.

My son was diagnosed with a tongue tie a few years ago as a baby. Despite the ongoing feeding problems and other issues, most shrugged it off as something he would eventually grow out of. The current and past pediatrician flat out ignored that it was causing him health problems. Once he started elementary my wife and I started to notice breathing issues during sleep. I struggle personally with sleep apnea so I immediately started searching again for answers for my son. Dr. Tara is the only doctor who listened, gave feedback and created a plan to fix his tongue tie. During the exam Dr. Tara also pointed out a lip tie which immediately started making sense to the years of dental issues he had experienced. She recommended myofunctional therapy to improve his stiff tongue movement before scheduling the procedure. My son loved the bodywork offered at the Smart Mouth office. The changes from the procedure are unbelievable. No more restless sleeping, no mouth breathing and his face and body are more relaxed. I was also shocked to hear my son mention that he could already breathe better. It's been a long journey searching for answers from a knowledgeable doctor but we finally found one! Thank you
Highly recommend

Be very weary and get a second opinion after going here. We went here for my newborns tongue tie, I scheduled the consult, the day of my consult I seen the pediatrician and she asked where I was taking him, when I told her she was like “it’s a free consult so keep it but he only has a tongue tie, guaranteed Dr. Tara will tell you he has a lip tie and possibly buccal ties, she is notorious for doing unnecessary procedures.” I proceeded to go to the appt after and sure enough, he “has” other ties that need to be taken care of, they don’t bill insurance, so it’s all out of pocket. I took him to Summerlin pediatric dentistry after for a second opinion they were very honest, he only has a tongue tie, no other ties like Dr Tara said, it’s half the price there and they bill insurance so I probably won’t pay any anything. I asked the doctor there and she said the same thing “we see a lot of 2nd opinions from Dr Tara. She is known to do unnecessary procedures..” so be very weary of this practice.

***In response to the reply:
My decision to go with someone else was not due to budget, we had the money for smart mouth, however it’s a red flag that you choose to not bill insurance. My decision to go elsewhere was because 3 different pediatricians said my son only had a tongue tie and 2 pediatric dentists said he only had a tongue tie. That’s 5 people that said one thing, then they all warned me you would try to correct more, and sure enough. My decision to go elsewhere was influenced by not doing unnecessary procedures on an infant.

I feel so grateful to have a clinic like Smart Mouth right here in my backyard in Las Vegas. The team there is so passionate about this unique service that they provide. The way they have paired together frenectomies (tongue tie releases) with bodywork and lactation services is truly remarkable. I am having major breastfeeding issues due to my son’s tongue and lip tie and it’s not like going to just a dentist to have the release done. This is a full service looking at all the different parts that contribute to the ties and how it’s impacts breastfeeding. I am blown away. Also, want to specifically note Alura their IBCLC on staff. She’s amazing. She spent extra time with me since I am really struggling right now with breastfeeding and I just can’t say thank you enough. Highly recommend!

I went to Dr. Tara when my daughter was just days old for a severe tongue tie - noticed immediately after she was born!

The entire staff was always incredibly nice and explained everything to myself and my husband thoroughly. I appreciated that infant bodywork was a required part of the process and those services were conveniently located in the same office. I also appreciated the lactation consultant on staff and the multiple follow up appointments to check-in and have the opportunity to ask questions.

I felt our care was very thorough and, although I can’t say I’m not traumatized by having to do the stretches, my daughter would not be the thriving 2 year old she is today without it.

We’ve moved, but I would probably make the cross-country trip to have this done for another baby if I felt it was necessary. That is how comfortable everyone at this office made me feel.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Tara, who is an expert provider of tongue tie surgery. She explained to me how functional therapy can help improve the oral function and health of my child, who has a tongue tie condition. She also informed me about the benefits and risks of tongue tie surgery, and advised me to consider it only after trying functional therapy first. I appreciated her professional and compassionate approach to treating my child.

The entire team at Smart Mouth is incredible. (Un)fortunately, since ties are hereditary, both of my daughters had them. As a first time mom with my first 3 years ago, I was so nervous and overwhelmed at the thought of the revisions. Earlier this year I had my second & was not phased in the slightest of having to get her revised because everything was so smooth with my first daughter. Seriously, the process beginning to end was amazing for us. The only thing that sucks is the obvious stretches. They're the absolute worst. But you just have to look forward to knowing this is good for your baby. My first had issues nursing, my second didn't, but we still got her revised because there's lifelong benefits. Not just breastfeeding. Anyway, we absolutely love Dr. Tara, Jennifer and Alura and Gaby. You probably will have to pay out of pocket, and if you can afford it financially, it's worth every penny.

I'm so thankful for Dr Tara. She suggested feeding therapy and their SLP Natalie was phenomenal. After 2 months, when babe was 4 months, her oral motor skills and functional suck improved tremendously. We ultimately decided against the release procedure, and babe is still nursing after 1 year!

In the process, I learned so much about oral ties and breastfeeding, and, as a pediatric nurse, I've personally referred several people here. Thanks for your dedication to this specialized area of healthcare.

TLDR: Beware of this business.

Dr. Tara is an expert in her field and very kind. No complaints in hospitality, however the business model is predatory and overcharging.

For a Dentist or ENT, the laser procedure out of pocket is 450. Smart Mouth is charging 1000+ and forcing therapy sessions prior to the procedure. (I was instructed the therapist would determine when my son was ready for his procedure based on therapy, not the Doctors discretion. I found this VERY concerning.)

A fee-for-service office can be predatory, as you “may” be able to get it covered by insurance on your own but it can be unlikely with the price mark-up being this high on the procedure.

I really enjoyed our conversation and her manner with my 3 month old son lacked no kindness. I just found the business model to be very scam-like and I caution desperate moms from starting here.

I don’t disagree that therapy can be crucial to healing and prep, but should not be forced prior to procedure ($200-$800 ON TOP of the $1000+) if you are a parent qualified to do the therapy component yourself.

ZERO STAR REVIEW!!
From the beginning Gabby has given nothing us nothing but the run around. Im sure its some policy the office manager or Dr. has implemented and it stinks. To calling as a new pt. The only point of their phone is to say, Please go to our website and fill out the form and we'll call you back. That's not the problem, the problem is knowing that you have a wait list and you don't share that information during yhe initial call, not until you call us back. Time was wasted, kindly advised our office has a waiting list. You can either proceed with the form or not. Second Gabby doesn't follow thru. I've had to call the office myself several times to see where my child is on the list. And every time I call some new rule or policy has changed. We don't take insurance, ok call and advised those on the waiting lost so we can move on. Oh Dr. Is bringing in a speech therapist and you have to see them first. Why would i need to do that when we were referred by our therapist.and we only take a referral from a certain person from that office, what sense is that when they all have the same credentials. Please Advise the referring office of your new policy. Make sure everyone is in the loop.
Its been a very frustrating time. Our children can not advocate for themselves and when a parent does and gets nothing but the run around its frustrating.
I'm not asking for a response, just simply letting the office know that Gabby is set up to fail and that is coming from your upper team.

If the Doctor tells you that your baby needs feeding therapy prior to the releases, I suggest you look for a second opinion. I was recommended to Dr. Tara for my baby’s tongue, lip, and cheek ties because was painful to breastfeed. But she referred me for therapy at Ticktalk before any procedure/frenectomy. I got the impression that Ticktalk and Smart Mouth work together for financial gain or maybe the owners are just really good friends and care for each other’s livelihoods? I think they cater to rich families as well because if you can’t afford the therapy’s “required” before the releases, then don’t even think about the frenectomy. But mostly, I felt discriminated when the receptionist mentioned how she would offer to ask TickTalk how many therapies would be required so that I can save money/ set money aside for that all because I spoke out against therapy. Get a second opinion, I did and I’m only sorry I wasted so much time, my baby was a week away from being 2 months old at the first consultation, he was 4 months old when I finally put my foot down because I am my baby’s best advocate and time is of the essence. By getting that second opinion, I already have a set date for the procedure.

Great team of professionals. They're friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, have a beautiful office to name a few positives. My midwife, Kim, spotted the ties soon after birth and right away recommended Dr. Tara.
Breastfeeding became increasingly painful and intolerable, and baby was feeding nonstop around the clock (more than the normal round the clock infant feeding). I had hope that it would resolve on its own, so I resisted getting the surgery - because the thought of the post surgery care/stretches broke my heart. 😭 I didn't realize the severity of the issue until baby stopped gaining weight properly.
Getting scheduled in was quick and so was the procedure, which takes seconds from what I remember.
There was instant change in breastfeeding. It was no longer painful. Some time passed before Baby learned how to breastfeed correctly and with it all traces of discomfort for me ceased.
The stretches did seem slightly painful in the beginning but later I managed to do a couple with him sleeping which led me to believe he was more upset by them than hurt physically. Like his learning curve with relearning to breastfeed, he took time to gain weight but once he did he became a different person:
He started sleeping better, had shorter nursing sessions, Smiled More! and could focus on more than just eating. His personality began to shine through.

I would recommend SmartMouth for adults or babies for tie revisions.

The day my baby was born I looked under her tongue hoping she wouldn’t have a tie, but she did. I had seen Dr. Tara recommend over and over in a LV mom FB group and decided to call. I was able to get a consult 3 days after baby was born and the tie was fixed 7 days after baby was born.
I was beyond anxious about the co2 laser because baby was not going to be numbed. Dr was very reassuring that it would take literally only seconds and baby would be brought straight back to me.
Although the experience was sad for my mama heart, I could not have been more confident in Dr. Tara or her team (Jennifer too)!

Dr. Tara and her staff changed everything for me.We had a long hard journey; my son was gaining weight great at first but by his 1 month appointment, he stopped gaining, which as a new parent was very stressful. At the time I was given so much misinformation, and so much differing information. I was told that he didn’t have a tie, that he was a lazy feeder, that if he did have a tie it was only mild, that he lacked cheek muscles, that he had low muscle tone, that I had to supplement, that I was feeding him too often not letting my milk “refill,” that he was just too disorganized to feed.

I went to multiple practitioners and got different answers from everyone which led me to keep waiting. This of course only made everything harder and I began to lose my supply because he wasn’t feeding effectively and I had to triple feed for 3 months. I went to the other dental practitioners who told me: his tie was mild it wouldn’t be what was affecting his feeding, or from another, that I could revise his tongue but to “not expect to ever be that mom who can just breastfeed my baby in the parking lot of a grocery store as I probably will never get there or get my supply fully back.”

I finally sawDr.Tara who never once gave me anything but confidence. Confidence that she was just as invested in the same outcome as I was. Confidence that she knew how important ties are to his function; confidence in her ability, her care, everything. She was just as invested in my baby and I getting to the other side of this as I was. She was the only provider who knew his lip needed to be revised as wellandIamso grateful when I look back at pictures his tightness in his lip is so obvious now after seeing the difference months later.

She is one of the most caring doctors I have ever met. I finally had him revised at 4 months and after a little bit of therapy from there, we went on to exclusively breastfeed, without pumping or triple feeding or supplementing; and still am at almost 16 months. I have learned so much since diving into all of this and how much ties can lead to so many other problems inlifeandIam so grateful to have addressed it while he was a baby. Smart Mouth gave me back my expectation I had for the way I wanted to feed and connect to my baby and truly, changed my life and my connection to motherhood. And of course the health of my baby. I am telling my story in case it helps any other mom out there who is hearing all these differing opinions holding you back and for you to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I want to also add that her entire team is amazing. Jennifer Is amazing with babies and incredibly relaxed him! Alura the lactation consultant was extremely caring and helpful and went above and beyond for us, letting us come to her even after hours wherever to do some of his stretches. There are not many in the world who would ever care this much.

I started writing this review sitting in the parking lot of a grocery store, nursing my almost 16 month old, and I can’t help but be so grateful for Dr. Tara and her entire team at Smart Mouth.

Dr. Tara and her team are the absolute best! They are the most knowleageable about oral restrictions and will not rush to get the procedure done, but rather evaluate on a case by case basis on when they optimal timing of release will be.

Working with her along side a feeding therapist and chiropractor was seamsless as they all worked together with my baby and her progress. I saw a night and day difference after her frenectomy and I wouldn't go to anyone else!

Dr. Tara helped my son and I put about 2years ago now. I was in terrible pain while breastfeeding among other things with it. She was the only person who was able to find my sons ties and revise them. I am very grateful for her and her team who help my son and I reach the goals we desired. After my son ties were revised pain free and easy breastfeeding went from there. I was able to give my son the best nutrition out there until he weaned him self at 22 months. He still eats well, is starting to talk amazing, and has no mouth issues that who would of had if he still had his ties. With out her I don’t know wherey son and I would be.

I cannot recommend SmartMouth enough. It has been a year since my son had a revision with Dr. Tara and her team, and there's hardly a day that goes by that I'm not so grateful. To have such an amazing resource for new mothers is truly life changing work for many mothers and babies. I wish all mothers were aware of the information they provide and had access to them. We have since moved away from Las Vegas to Virginia but for future babies, I would fly across the country to work with Dr. Tara. SmartMouth also has lactation consultants and an amazing massage therapist who does body work as part of your baby's revision which is so crucial. My breastfeeding journey, the health of my baby, and my emotional health and journey as a mother would not be what it is without all of you, and I truly mean that. Thank you Dr. Tara and your amazing team!

Dr. Tara, Alura Hirsch, and their team are absolutely fantastic at what they do to help improve oral function! I would literally travel across the country to be in their care. Even though my daughter's tongue tie was revised by another provider when she was a newborn, we still had so many problems with breastfeeding - mainly I experienced pain with her latch and ineffective feeding for the baby...and we experienced other symptoms, including my daughter's excessive night-waking, delayed speech, colic, and reflux. When my daughter was 17 months old, I went to Dr. Tara out of desperation for an evaluation and treatment. Her bedside manner, technique, and skill are beyond spectacular. Dr. Tara was immediately able to identify that my daughter's tongue tie hadn't been revised correctly and her tongue mobility was incredible restricted. The laser revision was very quick and went smoothly - the team was very compassionate with my daughter. And here's the best part - the first time I nursed my daughter after the procedure, I literally cried because it was the first time in 17 months that I'd nursed her without intense pain. I could tell an immediate difference in the mobility of my daughter's tongue, cheeks, and lips. Alura provided exceptional lactation support, regular follow up, and the whole team was fantastic with after-care. I cannot recommend the Smart Mouth team enough! If you've been told by any other providers that they don't see a tongue tie, yet you or your child have any of the numerous symptoms - PLEASE do yourself the best thing you can for your health and high-tail it to Smart Mouth for a consultation to learn more.

Here's my review: ❤
My son was crying and starving no matter how often or long he nursed. He was losing weight fast. I was new to breastfeeding but had gone to classes and hired a certified LC. I was desperate, I was a mess and I didn't know what to do to keep my baby fed and thriving. I did everything I was told, tried it all. But it wasn't until I hired a second certified LC who noticed the tongue and lip ties. I had NEVER considered that my boy simply could not physically nurse properly! I was both sad and also relieved because I realized I wasn't crazy. Smart Mouth came highly recommended and I scheduled the free consultation ASAP. I started digging in and educating myself as much as possible. Turns out this is a very common yet highly misunderstood and even commonly missed by most pediatricians, dentists and even ENT Drs! Read that again. Dr. Tera is the real deal! Check out her website and the plethora of specialized training, courses and extra education she has sought out herself to become a legitimate EXPERT in the area of ties, revision and body work to name a few! Plus, she's a dentist! The consult was enlightening, educational and reassuring. My baby and I were in the best possible hands. They make you feel cared about, important, empowered and the support they offer is simply amazing. Dr. Tera went into specifics about ties and did an oral exam. She discovered and diagnosed my son had a posterior tongue tie and mild upper lip tie that were restricting his ability to suck and nurse properly. Poor boy was trying so hard but was literally physically unable to feed properly. I was initially sad for him but then immediately relieved that help was finally here. She discussed the treatment and procedure plans. It's a multi-modal approach involving a team of sweet, caring professionals that make the process so smooth. From massages to latch coaching to the pre and post care and follow-up appts (ALL INCLUDED BY THE WAY), I never felt alone or unsure because they were all so thorough. It was a bit stressful for the weeks following, to do the stretches after the CO2 laser procedure, and to learn everything about the mechanics of proper sucking/feeding but it was worth every penny, every tear and every sleepless night. Besides, we will endure those things anyway with a new baby so why not INVEST in our babies overall and long-term health now! And yes, getting these restrictions released and resolved at a young age can benefit them in SO MANY ways that I had never considered or even knew about. Digestion issues, colic, pain, motor function, speech problems, eating issues, oral/facial structure and growth issues and dental issues to name a few. It's amazing what you will learn from the Smart Mouth team!!! It's the lack of education and knowledge of our most trusted medical professionals that sends us desperate mom's into a tailspin and forces us to give bottles/formula, feel like a failure, never recognize or address the REAL underlying issues and give up our dreams of breastfeeding (not to shame those who choose or end up feeding a bottle or formula, FED is best!). Excessive folic acid is said to be one of the contributing factors, as well as genetics. Bottom line, if you are having any problems with your baby, your child or even yourself, it could be related to a restriction! Can't hurt to go in for the free consult to see what their team can do for you or your loved one. My boy is now 4 months old and can latch and nurse like a champ, even after my supply tanked due to misinformation in the beginning, even after my Dr said to supplement with formula despite the affect on my milk supply, despite me wanting to give up my dream of nursing out of sheer defeat, and I'm more than happy that he will also benefit from the long term health benefits and that he will avoid the problems that could/would have popped up if we hadn't corrected his restrictions. DO IT. Worth it.

Dr Tara is an exceptional doctor and very passionate about what she does. Me and my husband feel so inspired by meeting her for our baby’s issues. What a great example of what doctor should be - caring, finds the root cause of the problem, generous with all the information and contacts she shares. And all the stuff that works with her is as good as she is. I am surprised google doesn’t have hundreds of reviews for this doctor!

Dr Tara is an excellent provider and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We're so thankful to have been able to use her for my kid's revisions. We actually traveled all the way from Texas because she's the best. The staff was fantastic and everyone took such great care of us. Cannot recommend them enough ❤
