If I could leave a zero star review I would. We had a horrible experience with their therapist Kelly because i disagreed with her opinion on my child and expressed that to her in a firm manner because of specifics that were said. Keep in mind, there was no foul language or name calling, this individual was never objectified in any capacity either. There was just my firmness & directness because my job as a parent is to advocate for my child, especially if the recommendation wouldn’t benefit them. It’s okay for parents to express they don’t feel the therapist is connecting with their child and ask for a different one or alternative care. No different then an adult may have a better connection or rapport with one doctor over another. It’s hard enough for parents having to fight with insurance providers to get time for their kids & most barely want to approve more than a day a week. I shouldn’t have to fight with the provider as well. Especially when you have every bit of 20-25 minutes ONCE A WEEK. They come out late and bring your kid out early and that’s if you didn’t cancel the appointment with my kid. So how well are you really knowing them? Valid no?

After my conversation, the owner calls me in a fake effort to pretend she was listening to my concern on a recorded line 🙄 but really it was just her attempt at trying to “check me” because a grown adult woman came to her crying because she didn’t like what I said. Grow up. Do tears take away the legitimacy of valid concerns? No. She said “we won’t tolerate disrespect “ LAUGHABLE. So I asked what was disrespectful because I was firm with her like I am now. And all THE OWNER had was “Well she was crying “ SO WHAT! What does this woman have to do with me? 🙄 Delusional. You crying doesn’t make you a victim nor does it make that my problem. My responsibility is to advocate for my child to receive the best care and if I don’t feel that he’s receiving that, and I explain to you that doesn’t constitute disrespect. 🙄 I don’t want to hear a list of what that person did with anyone else. If something isn’t connecting in regards to the patient in question that’s the only topic I’m interested in discussing. The owner claimed I would hear back and I didn’t & honestly didn’t care to. As adults you need to be prepared for feedback, not liking the tone of something or crying because a parent was direct with you doesn’t invalidate the experience I had. I was correct and my child excelled at another provider who I expressed the same concern to. I was disappointed with the owner and her response or lack thereof, I would not bring my child here again and would not refer anyone else to their facility.

& no i’m not interested in a email or call from you, your silence spoke volumes.

I always liked this pace in the past. My daughter has been receiving the therapies at this location for many years. Unfortunately, today I can't post a good review. My child with autism was recently discharged from the speech therapy solely because she reached an age cutoff. (she is only 15), despite her clear and ongoing need for speech and communication support. Speech therapy is a long-term necessity for autistic children, not something they "outgrow" at specific age. The age should never be a factor in determining whether an autistic teenager receives speech therapy! All autistic children/teenagers are at different levels when it comes to speech. The fact that even the owner of the company was not able to help is incredibly disheartening. Dropping a child from therapy due to age rather than her actual progress is unacceptable and unethical! The therapist just handed me a piece of paper with a list of places to call that offer social group settings for my child. I did contact most of them and they have long wait lists for speech therapy.
So now my child is stuck, I am going through a lot of hassle and stress, and Speakeasy is a big Disappointment! This company is failing the autism community, unfortunately!

They are so awful! The first time around they messed up everything. Had us in OT when we were only there for speech. Then tried to charge us for a test they never did. Took months to resolve that. Now we’re returning and it has been a month of trying to get someone in their office to schedule an appointment after having received the damn referral! If I could give them no stars I would.

Both of my children go to this Speak Easy location for speech and OT each week. The staff are always amazing. No matter the time of day, how chaotic it may be in the office, they are always fantastic and kind. They go above and beyond to accommodate for your schedule and arrange things to meet your children's needs. Ms. Meg in speech is always so sweet and caring. Ms. Sarah is always so gentle and sweet. Ms. Jess is incredible for OT. They never cease to amaze me with how well they work with with my children. There never is any issues with the staff or the office. Always extremely well kept and clean. The bathroom is clean. The floors are clean. Everything at this location is what you look for, for your children.

Update as of 2025: They updated their policies and now charge you for any cancelation within 24 hour. Fair and understandable. But we have small children. Life happens. The flu happens. For a few weeks, there had been some times where our speech therapists would cancel on us last minute. Multiple times a week, sometimes for 2 weeks and I would have to cancel as well but always within the 24 hour time frame. I have tried to reschedule 2 weeks in advance and didn't get a response via text so I sent the message again this week to ensure I can reschedule and not lose my spot and now I was told I could potentially lose my spot for my children because my older child has 2 school events I cannot miss. I go here 3 days a week, 5 appointments a week for my 2 children. I feel like there has been a shift in the office since the beginning of 2025 and it's not as friendly as it used to be. I really love the therapists there. Life happens.. but I hope to see the overall vibe improve.

My younger son came to me his location to see Kelly for feeding therapy from 3-6 months old. I do feel like it helped a lot and I feel like it would be even more helpful if your baby was bottle fed. I also bring my older son for OT and speech therapy. The staff is extremely nice. The waiting room is small and it is chaotic but it’s never been a problem for us. I expect that environment when it’s a clinic for children.
