Horrible customer service and an extremely frustrating experience. I had a scheduled appointment, my insurance had been pre-confirmed, and I arrived on time. I completed all of the required intake paperwork, only to be told afterward that I could not be seen for my scheduled appointment. The front desk representative was extremely rude and dismissive and made an already frustrating situation even worse. If there was an issue with my appointment or insurance, it should have been addressed before I arrived and completed all the paperwork. Very disappointing experience. Also the facility was rundown and not very sanitary.

This places will make you pay for multiple sessions before they get you what you need/want.

There is zero communication between staff. They dont keep notes in your file. They break their promises.

They also charged a card that we told them not to put on file.

Bad situations always have a brighter side in this case the brighter side was meeting everyone at Suarez Physical Therapy (Durango Location)!! Everyone from the administrative staff to all the physical therapists and PT assistants were all Amazing!! I came here for postoperative care from reconstructive foot surgery. The staff up front were professional and communicative. My experience with Suarez Physical Therapy was deeply disappointing not only due to the incompetent and unresponsive billing department, but also because of the substandard care my daughter received from their therapy staff.

The therapy itself was brutal, uncoordinated, and felt more barbaric than rehabilitative. The therapists appeared inexperienced and poorly trained, often applying techniques without proper explanation or sensitivity to patient feedback. There was no clear treatment plan shared among the staff each session felt disconnected, and it was evident that therapists were not communicating with each other about her progress or care strategy.

On the administrative side, billing manager Cecile failed to return any of my calls over several months. Despite leaving messages on January 16, March 3, and April 7, and informing office admin Denise directly on May 6 that I was trying to settle my balance, my account was still sent to collections. When I asked for the name of someone I could speak to, I was refused on multiple. I ultimately had to pay the balance in full through Armada Collections, all because their staff ignored every reasonable effort I made to resolve it directly.

The physical care was painful and ineffective. The administrative treatment was even worse. I would strongly caution anyone considering this practice there are far more professional and competent providers available.

I will also be filing complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Nevada State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, and the Nevada Attorney General’s Office.

5.... My first appointment was for an evaluation to determine my necessary care. When I started at this facility I was at my lowest, I could barely walk and I was in pain 24/7... I am about half way through my journey with this team and I do not need my walker anymore, and I am learning to manage my pain. They have turned my scared, doubtful mindset to a determined and positive mindset.
They have given me knowledge to help my condition when I'm participating during therapy and to take home with me. I am hopeful for a future without pain. I want to give a special shout out to James, Tom, Yardel, and of course boss man Edwin. The woman name starts with a D she has amazing customer service.

For the most part, employees are kind, professional, and personable. End result was achieved.

For the not-as-good points…there were many times I wouldn’t know the routine, and I’d finish the workout, and then have to wait multiple minutes (I watched the clock to verify) before a PT would assist me with the next workout. Some of that was because they service many people, at times, too many, and can’t give the appropriate attention to all folks.

Regarding the massage…the gentleman who gives them is VERY distracted. When he was supposed to be working my back, he would spend a lot of time making phone calls on speaker to fix an issue. And the massage table has a bar that is placed so close to the face hole, I couldn’t find a comfortable position. Would recommend avoiding a back massage at all costs based on the table alone…but unimpressed with that complete experience.

In short, 3/5. Personable people, great front office staff. A bit too busy to give proper focus, and avoid massages. The end.

You'd think a physical therapy clinic would understand the urgency of starting therapy within two weeks after rotator cuff surgery. UMC Orthopedics referred me to this clinic, and my insurance had already approved it. When I called to schedule, I was told it would take up to 72 hours for their billing department to confirm with my insurance, which seemed odd since I already had approval. I agreed to wait. Two weeks has now passed without any follow-up. Frustrated, I contacted Dignity Health on Durango, and they scheduled me for the next day, got approval from my insurance within hours, and I've already had two sessions. If you need urgent physical therapy needs and a clinic that understands the importance of getting you into therapy, I recommend looking elsewhere. I'm sorry it didn't work out. UPDATE: I appreciate the reply. A phone call with an update or status from your front office staff would have been nice. Perhaps I could have helped speed up the process with a call to my doctor. Zero communication from your staff for well over a week just isn't acceptable for me. Again, sorry it didn't work out.

Update: Edwin, the owner called me directly after figuring out what happened and offered an apology. He did say he would be re-educating his front office staff on their policies so no one is forced out of an appt again. I will say the therapy is pretty good there but the management could be improved.

My 1 year old daughter was seen here for 5+ months and while I wasn't too happy that I couldn't request the same therapist every time, I was stopped in my tracks today when my appt was cancelled because "other patients cancelled their appointments so we can no longer justify having a therapist there for your daughter".

Seriously? If their policies are only going to be business facing then how do they expect to keep loyal customers?

This was the second time my appointment was not honored.

If you don't have availability or aren't willing to send a therapist to see my daughter when I schedule, your system is broken.

When escalated to management they said the same thing I heard the first time that other patients cancelled and they couldn't justify a therapist seeing her.

I also asked if they could guarantee that it wouldn't happen again and the questions was avoided.

They also see regular patients who aren't as severe as my 1 year old daughter on a 3:1 basis. 3 patients to 1 therapist. Makes me feel like they're just in it for the money and not for the patient care.

They brought me through after my total knee replacement last year in only 3 months and now they are helping with some major back issues. I called made sure I filled all the correct paperwork needed for intake prior to my appointment also I arrived 15 mins early for my 4pm appointment. There was a line at check in, when it was my turn, the receptionist asked me for my ID, I noticed a piece of paper with my PII sitting on the desk for anyone to see, I did let her know I was very un-happy about this, to which she retorted “no one can see it!” I replied I could, and the person they served before also could. I work with peoples PII all the time and we are not allowed to write down full socials let alone leave it unprotected. Once the receptionist scanned my ID she returned it to me with a whole stack of intake paperwork. To which I said I have had it confirmed twice, I had completed it all online, she rudely said “well you have to do it again!”, as I sat filling this out a second time, I was feeling very uneasy about this place. After half an hour of waiting no one came to take me for treatment, note I had been 15 mins early. I called my husband to come pick me up. One of the office staff came out and very rudely asked me for the completed paperwork back to which I answered I will not be staying so no need also I requested the paperwork they had for me to be returned, she gave me the form which had now had whiteout on it where my husband’s social was. Then while I was waiting, she came back and asked for the paperwork back, I declined as I was not confident, they were keeping my PII secure to which she got aggressive and wanted the paperwork back, by this time now I’m crying. Still no Medical Professional had been to see me. She continued that she needed the paperwork back, I did state if she didn’t leave me alone, I would leave the premises to which she said go then have a nice day!!! I was left outside in 113 temperatures, crying waiting for my husband. I was at the facility for 45 mins in total, most of the time I was in there the front office were all speaking Spanish to one another, now I do know enough to know they were all talking badly about me. All I asked was that my PII was secure to which they didn’t see anything wrong with leaving my secure information laying in the open. This is two weeks out from some pretty horrendous surgery I came to them for help and felt degraded and disrespected instead. I do not believe that this facility is protecting my PII from potential fraud! Certainly, I got no care at all from anyone in there.

I was hopeful. I was wrong. I am dealing with chronic pain. I called ahead to see if they would take my insurance after getting the information from my provider list and they said they do but they would need the referral from my doctor. I make an appointment with my doctor they fax the referral information over I call the next day and now they say they don't take my insurance. I've wasted two weeks trying to do this. You clearly don't care about people.

I get a call back 2 minutes later from MIRIAM telling me she sees I was verified. She says this in a way to not take blame for her prior statement about not accepting my insurance.

It is people and companies like this that do a disservice to the healthcare industry. You work your customers like a factory and what happens? You become incompetent. No I don't trust you to handle my care if at the first instance of dealing with you, this is how I am treated.

She responded PERFECT I will send you to denials and hung up.

UPDATE: received a call from management apologizing for the situation and assistance for booking. I am trying them out as it appeared this person wasn't reflective of the entire company. Will update from 1 to 3 stars for now.

I have no anxiety, no fears, and no regrets about attending physical therapy here twice a week. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly.

Miriam calls to remind me and schedule my appointments. Tommy and James use a variety of equipment and techniques to help with my pain. Julian gives the best massage and advice too!

The facility is always clean and the place is run like a well oiled machine.

I had to recently switch physical therapy offices and it was my first time through Suarez Physical Therapy and I absolutely loved it. Just called to ask questions and set my daughter up for treatment based on insurance stating they are in network. The officer manager, Mariam, is who answered. Obviously I’m a rush to hurry me off the phone and give me the info she wanted me to have vs answer the questions I had ie: I asked if they provided a specific type of therapy recommended by my daughter’s doctor as my insurance said they are the only people in network that offers it, she was more concerned with cutting me off every time I spoke to tell me she only wanted the doctor to send her a referral so they could decide if they felt that therapy was necessary, etc. When I asked her to please not cut me off and stated “ok well I’m going to ask my question again because you keep cutting me off and aren’t answering my question..” she said “ok, you have a good day” then hung up. Needless to say, I wouldn’t trust this office with the care of my child and her health if I can’t even get her to communicate in a healthy way over the phone to establish care.

In the waiting room, two employees were very rude. One therapist employee acts and stares at individuals like he wants to fight them. Tall, fat, Hispanic employee. 01/06/23, around 3pm this employee was working with a young patient and making her scream and cry in fear of him to a point where she had a hard time breathing. Literally everyone in the facility had a worried look for the child. All that therapist says to the child is, " why are you yelling at me?" Wow that's how you treat young children. What type of therapist is that? Don't go to this facility.
Second employee at the front desk, sitting in the corner likes to hide and avoid providing PR. Young girl just Ignores and just sits and stares at the computer. The other employee sitting in the front desk where you check in is very professional and greets everyone entering and leaving.
These two employees mentioned above, makes going to Suarez pt very unprofessional and unpleasant to get therapy.

Suarez Physical Therapy @ Centennial Hills (located off Durango) is definitely 5 Stars! Went for PT at this location for nearly 5 mo after an injury, then an unrelated surgery. The Physical Therapists & PT Techs were all outstanding! All were extremely knowledgeable & willing to try different therapies for best results! The massage therapists were well trained, too, & able to target trouble spots, which reduced pain level, too, along with the PT. Also, the front desk staff were always helpful & friendly & great on making appointment reminder calls. It starts an appointment well when we patients are welcomed by name! The Admin Desk/Reception Desk rocks! Thanks to all of you!

I came in with cervical and shoulder pain, limited mobility and right sided weakness. Now I am doing way better and almost to my goal. I love the therapy sessions I have had with them. The staff members at this location are awesome. They are very flexible with scheduling appointments. All equipment used are sanitized properly and frequently between each patient. I have no complaints for this location. I would definitely recommend to others. The session with the message therapist helps out a lot especially after doing physical therapy sessions.
Front desk staff are very helpful and always nice. I love how all the physical therapist are friendly and communicate with each other about how certain patients like to go about their routine.

This is the place to heal! Mr Suarez and his team are dedicated to their clients’ recovery. They are patient, thorough and the environment supports the goals.
