My son and I have been coming to this location inside Target on Blue Diamond for more than 10 years. During that time, we've always had positive experiences, especially with Dr. Mai, who was patient, personable, and always took the time to answer our questions and make us feel comfortable during our visits.

This year was our first visit since the remodel and the introduction of Dr. Nassar, and unfortunately, the experience was very different. More than anything, the exam felt impersonal and robotic. There was very little effort to build rapport or make us feel comfortable, and the communication throughout the appointment felt awkward and disconnected.

When I asked questions, the communication often felt uncomfortable. On one occasion, I asked a question that wasn't acknowledged at the time, and the discussion continued as though it hadn't been asked. While the question was eventually answered later in the exam, the response felt curt and left me feeling dismissed. By the end of the appointment, both my son and I were uncomfortable and disappointed with the overall experience.

What was even more concerning was witnessing Dr. Nassar speaking to staff members in a tone that came across as annoyed and dismissive. I've always had excellent experiences with the staff here, so seeing that interaction was disappointing.

The reason I'm torn about leaving this review is because the support staff continue to be outstanding. Rose, the office manager, has always been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. She remembers us, adjusts our glasses whenever needed, and always does so with a smile. Werner has also helped me select glasses on multiple occasions and has consistently been knowledgeable, patient, and helpful.

Because of Rose and Werner, I would still recommend the optical staff and service side of this location. However, after more than a decade as a loyal patient, I can honestly say this was the least enjoyable eye exam experience we've had. I have a great deal of respect for Rose and Werner, but this experience has left me questioning whether we will continue seeing the doctor at this location.

Rose and Werner deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Nassar did not.

This review is for Rose Walker. My son lost a piece of plastic on his glasses . I went to the original place where I got his glasses from and they said they didn’t have any replacement and told me to go to Target (just across the street). I went to Target Optical and Rose was able to find a piece that fitted his glasses. She took the time and tried out different pieces until it fitted. She even explained to me about protection plans and told me to go back to the other store to check on it. She didn’t even charge me for her time either. It’s hard to find good and consistent business nowadays. I appreciate Rose and her help even though the product wasn’t from her store. I've had my prescription for more than a month but did fill it because I couldn't find frames I liked. Then I went to Target and met Robert. Great selection of frames, but Robert is a real star!

Robert has a well rounded understanding of the industry. He took time with me to find the right style and fit. He worked hard to find discounts and coupons I qualified to receive.

As someone who’s been going to the eye doctors for almost 15 years now I have never had a better experience at an optometrist. Had an appointment at 3:00PM had my exam finished, glasses picked out, paid, and in my car by 3:30PM. The staff are some of the nicest most caring genuine people I have ever met. Tons of options to pick from for frames and some the of the best pricing compared to everywhere else I have gone over the years. Tiffany went above and beyond the whole time making sure I was comfortable with my decision and even remembered me week and a half later when I arrived to pick up my glasses. I ordered new glasses and sunglasses knowing we were leaving on a 6 week trip. I had no expectations of receiving either pair before we left. To my surprise my prescription sunglasses came in! Overpromise Under deliver!!! Prescription glasses for a family member-we wanted to save some money we asked the representative if we can use our current frame and just change glasses on it. Representative accepted the frame, did some measurements and said yes the glasses will fit on it.

We waited over two weeks no one contacted us we called for an update and we were told that our glasses and frame were miss placed.

In matter a few hours another representative contact us saying that, they found your glasses and we were unable to use the frame because lab had rejected the frame because it was not compatible with glasses. Which we can understand. My concern is, why it took associates two weeks to call us and let us know about this issue?

This is my new optical center! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the doctor is very knowledgeable. Dr. Tina genuinely listens to and answers your questions, goals, and concerns. Lela is my optician she is so patient, humorous, and on point.
