My mom saw Dr. Trainor last year. Her PCP had ordered an MRI of her knee which was swollen and painful. It looked like a softball beside her knee. At that time my mom had been experiencing knee pain for about 4-5 months. Dr. Trainor failed to look at her MRI saying something along the lines of he didn't have to to know her issue was arthritis. He gave her some shot (steroid shot is my guess) and sent her on her way advising her to go back if the pain persisted. The pain returned in less than a week. She refused to return to him and took her MRI to an orthopedic in Mex who LOOKED at the MRI and told her it was more than arthritis, she had a fracture. He aspirated the fluid build up around the knee (causing the severe swelling) and told her she required surgery. Had this doctor taken less than 5 min out of his day to LOOK the MRI it would've saved my mother a lot pain and suffering. Dr, I see you read your reviews. Why refuse to look at an MRI for a patient referred to you, the specialist, instead of dismissing the MRI and going with, "At your age arthritis is common."? It was a bone fracture. All these good reviews one would expect more but... here we are. Good look to all patients seeing him & may you, or your loved one, receive better care.

Doctor trainer is absolutely the worst Orthopedic, Doctor I've ever encountered in my entire career.
I worked with horses And encountered many orthopedic type injuries Many.
Have which repeated themselves and needed treatment by different orthodox doctors in California. Who would take the time to listen to your injury and follow-up with the proper treatment? Doctor trainer will not listen. Will rudely cut you out. We'll remind you. He's the Doctor and you're the patient. Try to proceed with Useless Treatments such as steroid shots instead of addressing the problem With any surgeries needed to correct the problem without putting you through a bunch of unnecessary treatments first and if you try to tell him you've been through this all before, he will rudely cut you off.
And in my case, storm out of the room.
Very unprofessional.
And compared to a clinic like the Robert kerlin and Frank Jobe clinic in Los Angeles. Who I mainly dealt with?
The difference is like day and night.
A real orthopedic Doctor will take the time to listen And address your needs Accordingly.
So, if you have any appointment scheduled with this man, I hope you read my post and reconsider and take my advice and find a different orthopedic Doctor here in Las Vegas.

I had a knee replacement 9 months ago. My initial thinking was positive. The office was very busy so there was a bit of a wait. My follow up was good. Then I waited for an hour but didn’t see the doctor. I had another doctor appointment so had to leave without seeing him. My experience going in since has not been as positive. I had an appointment yesterday and am concerned about the swelling. I have begun using a cane because of insecurity when walking . His response was “I’ve seen a lot worse “. That doesn’t make me feel better. I’m almost sorry for having the surgery.

Absolutely garbage from the time checking in to.the actual "doc" got up to shake his hand he sized me up and sat in the corner. Her persisted on not even examining me and said that I was full of shot on what I had done previous surgery... he was not friendly and his bed side is one of the worse I have ever seen..... he blew me off and decided to refer me to someone else on the other side of the country... working in the emergency room for years personally I have never seen such terrible service from anyone....... In my 70+ years I've only spent 1 week in the hospital, not a good patient. When I met with Dr. Trainor he was direct and to the point, "watch my video and it will answer all your questions". It did just that. Dr. Trainor and his staff are cordial, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I felt as though my friends were in the OR suite. If I could rate him 10 out of 10, I would.

I went to Dr. Trainor for knee pain and it was determined that I would need a total knee replacement. Dr. Trainor did not push for immediate surgery and I decided to treat it conservatively. I then opted for the surgery six months later. So far the results have been great. I am back at the gym 9 weeks post op, walking my doodles pain free.

I found the staff to be very professional and caring. They did an excellent job of taking care of me. This is my second set of knee shots and I did not meet with Dr. Tim Trainor this time. I met him last time and was struck by how he had to tell me numerous times that he had performed knee surgery many many times and was very good at it. He didn't really listen to me when I said I could not have the surgery because I was the primary care person for my husband. By that I mean he just glossed over it and said okay then try the shots. All and all, he may be very talented but I was not impressed with him personally.

I didn’t find wait times to be excessive. Obviously there are different protocols due to covid; which is no ones fault. Timothy accommodated me greatly and moved my surgery up due to it being somewhat time sensitive. 5 days post surgery and the pain has subsided substantially. The incision was small and very clean. Range of motion is slowly but surely increasing each day and pain is also getting less and less with each day. Timothy explained the procedure and what he would do. He outlined typical recovery times and expectations. He told me I can begin to attempt basic movements without any load day 2
Post surgery. I have full confidence that I will be cleared to go back to work in 12-14 week timeline we had planned. Great dr, professional, attentive, accommodating. He also has great credentials and a ton of experience. Highly recommend his services.

Dr. Trainor is a great doctor. He delivers what he promises. I'm glad I was referred to him. The issue I have is the incompetence of his staff. I had my TKR last Oct. 09. The prescription for Hydrocodone was sent to CVS and in turn CVS sent it back to Dr. Trainor's for authorization. It's now Sunday Oct. 15 and CVS has not received anything. In the meantime I am in pain and have no resort for any painkiller.

This is an ABSOLUTELY awesome doctor!!! I saw 3 other doctors before he was recommended to me and I was so disappointed in the quality of the doctors I saw before him. Dr.Trainor listened to me, answered my questions and put me at ease with his knowledge and skills as an Orthopedic Surgeon.

He performed a complete knee replacement and did an outstanding job. On my follow up visits post surgery he answers my questions and addresses any concerns I have about my knee and what to expect in the future as it heals! I cannot say enough good things about him as a surgeon.🌷 Most importantly he made sure I was getting the follow up therapy required after surgery. Most doctors these days are rarely willing to answer your basic questions yet alone ensure you are getting proper follow up care!!

I am so grateful he was recommended to me by a friend another doctor and he was right. Dr Trainor is Board Certified and that is important when getting orthopedic surgery. Plus he specializes in sports Medicine so you know he is great!! I highly recommend him if you want the best to care for your surgical needs.

Finally, all I can say is "THANKS DR. TRAINOR," for being such a great understanding and professional doctor!! His office staff is wonderful as well, so you can't go wrong with him!!

I probably shouldn't write this report because his office is busy as it is and I want to make sure he is available when I need my other knee and hip done!!🤣🤣🤣

I've waited weeks to see Dr. Timothy Trainor as I've been going to him for different orthopedic problems for the past approximately 11 years. I go in for my appointment today and was taken back to an examining room. A few minutes later a nice gentleman comes in the room and introduces himself as the PA. He was nice and a little informative but never mentioned the Xray that I took last week. My appointment was with Dr. Timothy Trainor not the PA. I guess I wasn't important enough to be seen by the doctor. I won't be going back to Advanced Orthopedics again. I will have to find a new orthopedist!

He replaced my ACL and repaired a torn meniscus in the same knee. He never told me to keep my leg straight while it was healing. I kept it bent because it was less painful. When I told him I couldn't straighten it, he said "Yes you can" and he yanked on my ankle to pull it straight which was very painful. I also told him physical therapy didn't seem to be helping because my knee still hurt and he said then stop doing it. I went to another Dr who did an MRI and it showed my meniscus is still torn and the screw holding my ACL in isn't flat against the bone.

Loved to hear himself talk! I accompanied my friend for her appointment with him. He was not able to give a medical opinion, kept repeating “every body has a different experience”. Please be aware of scheduling with this office in Centennial. Make sure you ask repeatedly if the dr specializes in what you need done as they will schedule you without letting you know. You will then be billed for something the dr doesn't specialize in although you filled out paperwork and stated over the phone what needed to be done.

The staff is rude and incompetent and the dr only cares about money and not the consideration of the patient. Do not recommend!
