It pains me to write this review because Dr. Nguyen has always been great, but unfortunately, I can’t say the same for all of the staff or the customer service I experienced this time.
It had been a while since I had a cleaning, so I scheduled an appointment. The day before, the office called to confirm. I tried providing my updated insurance information, but the staff member told me she couldn’t take it at that time and would call me back. I never received a call.
At my appointment, they took my X-rays, but no cleaning was performed because Dr. Nguyen recommended a deep cleaning instead. I was fine with that, but I was told the office needed to submit a claim to my insurance before anything further could be done, so I was sent home.
Later that afternoon, I called to ask whether I could have a regular cleaning and address the deep cleaning at my next checkup. I was told that was not an option once Dr. Nguyen had recommended a deep cleaning. I asked whether I would need to find another dentist if I wanted a regular cleaning, and I was told yes.
I also had questions regarding fillings and Dr. Nguyen’s recommendation to replace an older filling. I asked if Dr. Nguyen or the office manager could call me to discuss. Unfortunately, I never received a call back.
At that point, I decided to switch to a different dental office. At my new dentist, I was able to have my deep cleaning and fillings completed the same day without having to wait for insurance approval. They also did not recommend replacing my existing filling.
What is most disappointing is that I have been a patient at Town & Country for some time and remember the customer service being much better. I have always had a good experience with Dr. Nguyen personally, which makes this even more disappointing.
Unfortunately, because of the lack of communication and customer service, I will not be returning to Town & Country.

I would like to say I have had the pleasure of being a patient here, but that has changed due to the unprofessional attitude of one of the employees here. I was going to be a new patient and called to reschedule twice due to family emergencies, not that the office or anyone else needs to know the reason behind not being able to make my appointment. Call this morning to reschedule because I will be leaving out of town today (due to my grandmother having a stroke and I am going out of state to visit her). Representative one the phone (I would say lady on the phone, but a lady shouldn't behave that way) scolded me for not calling 2-3 days in advance and saying I have rescheduled already. Sorry I will plan family emergencies better next time? I stated that I was never told of that rule and apologized, let her know she could cancel it if rescheduling was not an option. To which she just hangs up the phone. Did not get to ask how would I go about requesting a "new" appointment or any other questions if I had any. I will now be looking for another dental office for myself and my family now since we are new to Vegas.

Every person at Town and Country Dental has gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and well taken care of at every visit. After a bad experience at another dentist, I was thrilled to find one where the staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly highly recommend if you need a dentist in Las Vegas!

Staff were friendly and helpful, Dr. Phan was excellent, he took the time to explain everything in great detail and even sent a follow up text message the following day. I’ve never been treated with such personal care by a dentist, couldn’t recommend more!

I had a really great experience at Town & Country. They were very responsive when I requested an appointment and were able to take me in quickly. The whole process was fast and efficient.
The assistant was amazing — so kind and reassuring. Dr. Phan was very intelligent and took the time to clearly explain everything to me, especially since I’m not an expert when it comes to dental procedures. I truly appreciated how patient and thorough he was.
My extraction went smoothly, and the post-care reminders were clear and easy to follow. Overall, I felt well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Good dentist but dental assistant is subpar! If I wasn’t drowning from the pool of water not being suctioned properly by her during the procedure, then I was close to choking to death because she would literally put the suction tip at the back of my throat. The fact that the dentist didn’t correct her was annoying and weird because it’s his job to train her properly. I’ve had better dental assistants so I know that they are supposed to care about the patient and make them comfortable, not gag them!

First issue - wouldn't see me for a CLEANING because I couldn't do X-Rays. They won't take new patients for cleanings without X-Rays being done. I understand that X-Rays are a nice bill for dentists, but there isn't anything on their website OR their new patient welcome letter OR the new patient call they gave me where they said that I had to do X-Rays first visit. Instead, they had me fill out all their paperwork and got me back in a dental chair only to make me leave.
I love going to the dentist, but a dentist who won't see you without a large bill to your insurance first thing is one that is having financial trouble, full stop. I had already had X-Rays with another dentist this year who I really disliked, and the fact that he didn't even offer out-of-pocket X-Rays meant that, again, they are depending on that insurance bill. It is such a huge red flag with any new providers, I'm sorry.
Second issue - every other form asked for your full SSN. Medical/dental billing in modern times does not need a full SSN - even the most antiquated verification systems only use last 4 digits. Any modern office who is looking to avoid a HIPAA issue or an issue with their underpaid office staff (again, notorious amongst dentists) stealing people's identities would only ask for last 4 digits IF NEEDED. Again, most modern insurance companies don't even ask anymore, because an SSN is not meant to be a medical record identifier. Having your address, DOB, and SSN all on one form, even if it's a paper copy, is a huge data liability, and medical offices with low PHI/PII standards are the number one cause of medical data leaks leading to identify theft.
Don't EVER fill out your full SSN on any medical form, EVER.
Furthermore, the forms they want signatures on were blank with information or said that I had been provided with disclosures/notices that were not provided in the intake packet. All I got in the intake packet was the privacy statement. Nothing else - no disclosures, etc. It's a simple fix. Stop copying forms online and write your own disclosure forms.
This is the second Vegas dentist I've struck out with since moving here. I am really disappointed, because as I said, I actually like going to the dentist. I love the clean feeling in my mouth after I'm done with a cleaning. It's the best feeling in the world.
This is lazy at best, insidious at worst. I'm just going to make an appointment with my old SoCal dentist and stick with them. Luckily I am in SoCal often enough to do this. But I really wanted someone local and it's just so disappointing.

It was my first time and my husband Rey’s visit to Town and Country Dental.
Our visit was awesome, awe-inspiring and brilliant experience with all in the family.
Dr. Phan, as well as his dental family welcomed us like their own family!
We are looking forward to a more excellent experience with them in the future.
Thank you!
God bless everyone!

Dr. Phan (We called him Dr. Phantastic :))) ) is the BEST dentist in Las Vegas... maybe in the whole WORLD. He is gentle, friendly, funny, professional and kind. He is an amazing individual that you sometimes forgot he is a dentist. I am an orthodontist in town (very picky : )), and Dr. Phan treat my daughter and all my family. He is the one I can trust, and you know you will be at good hands with him. I know so many good dentists in town. However, when it comes to the only and ultimate one, Dr. Phan is my NUMBER ONE top dentist award winner. You and all your family will love him and his office!

I went to Dr Phan thanks to the recommendation of a friend and would 100% forward that recommendation on.
Dr Phan is absolutely wonderful. He clearly cares about his work and his patients and is phenomenal at breaking down complicated dental terminology into layman’s terms for those of us who are curious about the numbers and information he collects during the exam.

I've been coming here for four years. Dr. Phan does a great job on my fillings and crowns. People who knows me know that I'm terrified of shots. But when Dr. Phan does it, I barely feel a sting. I have four crowns from three different dentists here in Las Vegas and by far his looks the best. He really cares more about his patients well being then his own pocketbook. Dr. Phan would take his time explaining what I needed to get done and the different options that are available. Never had I felt pressure on getting anything done. On Monday I'd called his office but they were closed. A minute later, I received a automatic text message from him. I told him I had a couple of chipped teeth and cavities and if he had any opening on Wednesday or Thursday. He said that he'll get back to me in a hour. Which he did and booked me in for 9am on Wednesday. I'm very thankful as I'll be flying to Thailand on Sunday for vacation.

What an amazing experience that I just had at this office. I came in for some fillings that were previously done poorly by another office. Dr. Phan took such amazing care of me. I’m always nervous going to the dentist because I don’t want to feel any pain from the numbing injection, and I didn’t feel 1 thing. Dr Phan made sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure. I would definitely recommend this office!!

I've been coming to this office for about 10 years and have experienced nothing but friendly service by the staff and a high level of skill and care by the Doctor. Yesterday was no different! A tooth of mine needed a bit of drilling in order to find out if a root canal was needed or not. Midway through the procedure an X-ray was taken to determine if a root canal was needed and it turns it the root canal wasn't needed! I appreciated the fact that the doctor does not do unnecessary procedures and saved me time and money. My tooth was fixed and this wonderful place of dentistry has "kept" another customer happy! Keep up the good work Dr. Nguyen!
