My work company recently changed our medical insurance, so I decided it was finally time to find a primary care doctor here in Las Vegas. After moving from California, I had continued seeing my longtime doctor there because it was honestly so difficult to find a good primary care physician locally. I had put it off for quite a while, but I’m so glad I finally made the switch and chose Dr. Joseph Coulson at Southwest Medical.

From my first visit, I’ve been very happy with the experience. I had my normal annual checkup, and Dr. Coulson did an excellent job going over my blood work and answering all of my questions. He takes the time to explain everything in a way that is easy to understand and never makes you feel rushed or like you’re asking too many questions. I really appreciate how thorough and efficient he is while still making the visit feel personal.

The staff at Southwest Medical has also been wonderful. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which makes the overall experience even better.

After being hesitant to change doctors after so many years with my physician in California, I’m very happy that I finally made the move. I feel confident having Dr. Coulson as my primary care doctor here in Las Vegas and would absolutely recommend him and the Southwest Medical team to anyone looking for a great doctor and a positive healthcare experience!

Just horrible how they work and do sceduling! Waited 3 months to see Dr Vandenbosch got referrals, did tests and had to wait another 4 months to come and discuss with her my test results!!! This is unacceptable that you can’t see your doctor when needed! They keep pushing to see a nurse practitioner which I absolutely refused! Im not paying so much money to see a nurse who can’t answer to any of my questions, not trusting my health to someone who studied 2-4 years!
Showed up to appointment and been told that she is running an hour behind , had to wait two hours to see her! RIDICULOUS!

The dr tells you he wants you to see a cardiologist & a neurologist. You call the referral line & sit on the phone all day. You finally get a hold of someone on the main line who puts your request as urgent. They also tell you to call back the next day after 130 pm if you haven't heard from anyone. So its the next day & still nothing set up for neurologist or cardiologist. Guess your health means nothing to them.

If you want to waste your time this is the place to go. I was discharged from the hospital and was referred to this doctor office I made an appointment and they knew what insurance I had. My first doctors appointment was rescheduled do to the doctor being out sick. When I went to my rescheduled appointment a week later, they told me they don’t take my insurance. Keep in mind they ask you when you call to schedule an appointment what insurance you have. Missed worked and arranged child care for absolutely nothing. Do better

I go to this location all the time never a problem until today. The lady at check in for Quest was calling people out of order this morning. There were 5 of us that let security know and she went and talked to her. This lady was talking to much and not doing her job, then she was laughing and saying to other customers the system is messing up. I went up to her and she was so rude asking if I had a question, I said no that I needed to wait in line. I knew what place I was in but she was calling out of line. I wasn't the only one that got mad with her. This lady was not the original lady that is always there, not sure if she is new or what. She needs retrained on customer skills.

I like Southwest Medical but my recent visit on November 17 was very disappointing. NP Anna Sevek was not knowledgeable and didn’t care to do the testing I needed. I had to request a wellness blood work since she didn’t offer it. I ended up going to another doctor to find the issue with my health concern. I will not recommend this NP.

Sadly, I have changed this to a one star. Dr. Weeks passed me on to a male doctor who was rude and I've always had a female doctor. Seems like the type of service and care that was once provided has diminished.

Been coming here for years now and the Doctors and staff have always been professional and kind especially Dr. Jade Weeks. The facility also has many additional benefits other offices don't such as its own clinical laboratory so you don't have to go anywhere else to take your blood tests. Highly Recommended.

Four to even Five Stars sometimes on actual medical evaluation and subsequent treatment, but the aforementioned One Star rating is with the fact of trying to been seen by your primary physician. UNACCEPTABLE wait times and I’m like Seinfeld’s father 😀 I don’t excessively wait😡. My countdown time goes from 30 minutes and then at 40 minutes I’m done and gone. My time is just as important as their time, so several times I have left due to my expected time to be seen being exceeded.

Today I had to make un appointment. I was asking for Monday morning around 8 am. The desk person with the name Sheryl was telling me that : only on this day and this time we have open, no other Monday ,it was Aug 5th at 7 am very early in the morning. My doctor Gregory left and I just wanted to ask who can be my doctor now, they just told me a name and when I asked for her to wait while I check this doctor profile, the lady just rushed me saying that her job is not to know what are they specialized with, what a terrible customer service.

For sure not coming back ever again to this place, sorry for the good talent they have, but their customer service needs either training or just look for something they can do with a better attitude.

Gregory Desimone Is by far the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life! While going over my past medical history and surgical history I was trying to explain issues with my ears and this man straight to my face told me “Yeah, I don’t really care.” Who holds these providers accountable? Why is it okay for a medical professional to tell a patient that he doesn’t care about a chronic issue. Let me not get started on him saying my pharmacy was a “broke pharmacy” idk what’s wrong with this man but I never went back to see him. No class, no professionalism at all. South west medical is one of if not thee worst healthcare providers in Nevada. This is exactly why as a biracial woman I will never in my life see another white doctor. This place might be an option for people who never get sick and just need an annual physical. If you are OK with doctors running 2-3 hours late then rushing to get you out and not doing any of the follow up they promise then having to wait months to get back in because the doctor and his staff don't reply to emails, then go for it. If you need to call for anythong, plan at last a full day to get a straight answer. Highlight: the offices are clean, and most of the people who work there are very polite.

I was suppose to see Shannon Treasure and I was told my appointment was at 12:30pm and I had the email and text saved on my phone. I when I got there (at 11:55am) to check in they told me my appointment was at 11:00am and couldn’t see me and that the next appointment is available for over a month from now. I am in a lot of pain and and not sleeping more than 20-30 minutes at a time because of the pain. I scheduled this appointment a month and a half ago and I lost all that time and sat in pain for all that time for literally nothing. I lost all that time when I would have been getting treatment. I am seriously disgusted.

I was seeing Dr. Kyra Norris, I have switched to another doc because I felt I was getting terrible care. When I went in I had to ask if she has looked at my blood results. She went on her computer and brought them up. No comment. I said aren't some of these number high. Her response was there nothing you can do about them. Dr. Obrand is an excellent doctor! Her assistant, Ciara was super nice and efficient. She even offered me a bottle of water while I was waiting for the doc. Dr. Obrand is very knowledgeable and has patience to listen to your concerns. This was the best doctor appointment that I even had in Las Vegas.

They will close certain parts of the building earlier than the main office, and then charge you a new copay when they force you to come back the next day because they closed that department already.
