At 46 years old, I finally decided it was time to invest in my smile and start Invisalign treatment. Since I’m new to Las Vegas, I had no personal recommendations, so I did what most people do—I relied on online reviews. Truman Orthodontics consistently stood out, so I decided to call.

From the very first phone call, I knew I had found the right place. They immediately accommodated my request for a free consultation, and the experience only got better from there.

The office is absolutely beautiful, spotless, modern, and welcoming. Every single person I met was friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help. My consultation was incredibly thorough. The doctor took the time to explain every step of the process, answered all of my questions, and presented different treatment options without any pressure.

I have to give a special shout-out to Brittany. She is absolutely amazing. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in the way she treats people. She is knowledgeable, patient, empathetic, and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process. I genuinely felt cared for, not just like another patient.

After receiving my treatment plan and quote, I went home to discuss everything with my husband. We were so impressed by the professionalism and outstanding customer service that I decided to schedule a consultation for my son as well.

When I called back, I was amazed by how organized their team is. They immediately knew who I was, remembered why I was calling, collected my son’s information, scheduled both of our appointments, and when I later needed to reschedule, everything was handled effortlessly. The communication between the staff and with their patients is simply outstanding. Everyone seems to work together seamlessly, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free.

Fast forward to our appointment—my son walked out proudly wearing his new braces… the very same day! We even left with lots of fun goodies and merchandise, which honestly made me feel like a kid again!

Now I’m counting down the days until my Invisalign is ready, and I couldn’t be more excited.

I want to share that I have had the best experiences at Truman orthodontist. One of the young ladies who takes my wires out and put the new ones in his name, Ashley, she is very patient caring and kind. She could tell that I was in pain and asked me if I was OK. I told her yes, and she continued on with expertise and care trying to do everything she could to make sure that it didn’t hurt and she talks me through the entire steps that she would be doing so that I didn’t have any surprises. I’ve had other young ladies there also assist with different appointments and they all have been very wonderful from the time you walk into the door to the dog I think named Sammy in case you have anxiety to the front desk and all of the people in the back and the doctors what a wonderful place. If you need braces, that is the place to go Truman orthodontist☺️

I initially got traditional braces at this office, and while I understood there would be an adjustment period, I ultimately decided that Invisalign would be a better fit for me.

When I called to schedule an appointment to discuss switching, I expected to have a conversation about my options. Instead, I felt like my concerns were overlooked, and I spent nearly two weeks trying to get a response. That was especially disappointing because this office has such great reviews, and I expected a higher level of communication and patient care.

Another concern was the lack of transparency regarding Invisalign attachments. One of the main reasons I chose Invisalign was for the appearance and comfort, but I wasn’t informed beforehand that tooth-colored attachments would be bonded to my teeth. I believe this is an important part of the treatment that should be clearly explained so patients can make a fully informed decision.

In the end, I decided to move forward with the aligners, but I really wish there had been better communication, transparency, and responsiveness throughout the process. Those aspects of patient care are just as important as the treatment itself. Overall, this experience hasn’t been what I had hoped for.

Both of our sons went here for orthodontic treatment. We have thoroughly appreciated their professionalism and patience over the last several years. We are moving out of state and my youngest son has a chain where the string attaching the chain and the braces untied and came off the same day as it was tied on. The following morning we came in and Sky helped us at the front desk. They were able to squeeze us in and get the issue resolved quickly. The woman who assisted my son was so patient, calming, understanding and amazing. She is definitely a good fit for working in a field that deals with anxious kids. I finished my Invisalign treatment today and I want to share a story. A short but meaningful story. Just a couple months ago at UNLV’s graduation ceremony, I was privileged to hood several of my doctoral students. Hooding is an official ritual in which an adviser “hood” his or her students as they are announced to a large crowd of family and friends. An unofficial ritual of graduating is when students want a photo with their advising professor, kind of like a two-person selfie. One of the more pleasant parts of taking a photo with my graduates this year, was that I felt free to smile wide, showing my new teeth. Maybe it’s not as big a deal as I promised above, but it felt nice. Thank you Dr. Truman and all the people at Truman Orthodontics for my new smile!

Both of my last two children have had braces done at the Sahara location, my daughter had Invisalign to start but went to braces due to lack of wearing them correctly. The office staff did a great job helping us through all the procedures and really went above and beyond. They have a variety of stations including the game area, coffee and popsicle and a candy bar when your child gets there braces removed.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Treatment from Truman is truly top of the line, expert advice from professionals. They know what they're talking about and they take care of their patients. I'm an adult who got braces for the first time, and I've had a horror story of unfortunate circumstances happen with my treatment that did not go as planned. It was nothing Dr Truman did, but he had been so patient and empathic through my journey and really talked to me with understanding. He mostly works with kids but he still treated me with respect and empathy. I told him if I had to go through all of this, there's nowhere I'd rather go through it than here. He's taken such good care of me and my special case, so to say he cares about his patients is almost an injustice because it's such an understatement. Also, the staff are LOVELY. I don’t wasn’t sure about Truman after seeing the advertisements, the multiple locations, I thought it was just a chain type business, and I felt that you usually have better experiences at unique, family owned businesses.

I could not have been more wrong. The staff is incredibly friendly, kind, and generous. The place is very clean, with plenty of seating, televisions playing children’s movies, and a huge area with arcade games and basketball games to keep the children occupied. They even provide otter pops, so 2020’s children can answer the question, “you wanna know how I got these scars?” 😂

And I’ve met the owner, Dr. Truman. He takes time to come and speak with you and whenever I come in he’s doing the rounds and speaking to every client. He followed up with me about a book recommendation that I gave him, too.

Anyway, I cannot recommend this place enough. Come check it out and you’ll see how great it is and you can decide for yourself. They even have an emotional support dog! Today during my daughter’s appointment she sat in my daughter’s lap for the entire session! Wonderful place.

Dr. Truman is a great doctor. He listens to concerns, answers questions, and has a nice treatment style based on both knowledge and years of experience. Even though the office is very busy, he would always spend enough time with us to ensure everything was addressed.
The orthodontic assistants are skilled and friendly, and the front office staff is efficient and friendly. Lisa at the front desk has years of experience with the practice, and is not only super friendly, efficient, and great at all the front office stuff, but she is also extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of orthodontics, the specifics of braces, and evaluation and treatment for most problems. She is always a pleasure to work with and willing to help in any way possible.
Overall, Truman Orthodontics is outstanding. We are very pleased with our experience there.

Our family had such an exceptional experience at Truman Orthodontics and we have nothing but positive things to say from start to finish. We have had a great experience at Truman Orthodontics! Our son sees Dr. Joe. Our son was very nervous initially but Dr. Joe did a great job of explaining the different treatment options and answering all of his questions. He's also a really nice guy who tries to connect with the kids and put them at ease. Our son doesn't love getting his braces tightened but Beth in particular does a wonderful job explaining what she is doing (and why) and is very gentle. Following Beth's advice, our son is on track to finish treatment several months early. The office is very organized and well-run as well. The benefits person (Brittany) is fantastic! As an adult who had to get orthodontic treatment far later than my peers, I am so happy to be seen at Truman. Although they work with many children and teens, I never once felt awkward or embarrassed when being seen for my appointments! All of the technicians are so kind, educated, and encouraging. I have witnessed firsthand upset children and the patience that the technicians display to them is unmatched!

Claudia was especially kind to me at my last visit where I had to start wearing rubber bands. She encouraged me when I was struggling to get them on and did not make me feel rushed!

Both doctors at Truman are quick and knowledgable, and helped me feel less nervous about my treatment. I am over a year in already and am so happy to see the remarkable change in my teeth already.

We were at a Halloween school function at our school and there was a booth set up from Truman Orthodontist. They provided us with a bunch of great info and free gear. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We decided to give them a try and from the first consultation we were sold. Both of our daughters have ongoing treatments and their teeth are looking great. My kids have always feared the dentist. Truman ortho has been so gentle and knows how to talk to the kids. We meet Sara at the school function and she has been our ortho assistant since we’ve been going and could not ask for any better service. I would recommend Truman Orthodontics to anyone wanting to improve their wonderful smile. The office is so clean and inviting it takes the scary out of getting treatment. There are lots of activities to entertain the kids while waiting for their appointment. Although, they have been right on time with the set appointment times. My son is only 9 yrs old but after the initial consult he felt so comfortable and excited to get his braces he asked if he could get them on that day! We made his appointment for 2 weeks later so he wouldn’t miss school and he was actually disappointed. When the day finally arrived he had a great appointment to have everything applied to his teeth. I had an awful 2 years experience with Truman Orthodontics. My teeth now look worse than they looked before the treatment. I have wiggly teeth and bone loss from the long treatment. Truman orthodontics did not care about this condition during the treatment ( I was also pregnant during this time) and instead of postponing it or advice on the issue they continued the treatment until it was paid off. I did not see loyalty or adequate judgement from them. I absolutely do not recommend their service. Also periodontist are as much involved in that luck of loyalty as dentists. I recommend you do your due diligence before making a decision to use that service.
One last thing.
Just wondering why under “most relevant” reviews direct tory are only the 4 and 5 stars reviews? This is what everybody sees if they want to read a review about Truman. I posted my review yesterday under “most relevant “ and it immediately disappeared in another category. because it is not a positive one.And no feedback.

OMG! This team at the Summerlin office, hands down the most genuine, down to earth team that I have ever experienced! They genuinely care! not just about ortho, but you as person! Dr. Truman is amazing!!! Great experience with my oldest daughter years ago and now my youngest daughter just had her braces placed today. We are excited to share this journey again with his practice. The front and back office staff are very welcoming and they take the extra step to make your child feel comfortable. However my encounter with Julie, the financial assistant, was not so pleasant. From start to finish my visit with her was uncourteous. She never greeted nor introduced herself to me and she was very direct, not friendly, when going over the contract. I felt rushed and she seemed impatient. A simple Thank You or have a nice day as we ended our meeting could have gone a long way and she simply did not make the effort to do so. . Putting that aside, I would recommend Dr. Truman to my friends and family.

We love Truman Orthodontics! We go to the Sahara location where we are greeted each time with a warm welcome. Every person we have encountered there is always happy and upbeat and you can tell loves their job. They do a great job informing us of what our little is going through and engages in great conversations with her. She is 9 going on 35 so she has tons of questions and loves a great conversation. They have a coffee bar that has about 15 different selections, otter pops for the kiddos and a game room that any kid and adult would love to play in. They have a great reward system for our daughter that encourages her to follow instructions to keep a healthy mouth and monthly challenges that she enjoys. She was sold on all the games and enthusiasm and FREE shirt, we were sold on the pricing and the personable experience we have had thus far. We look forward to her journey with a great smile.

My son, daughter and I are currently in treatment with Dr Truman and team. We have over a year experience with the Summerlin location. The positives: the assistants by far. They are ALL super sweet, kind, compassionate & never fail to answer any questions I may have or simply take their time when something is painful. MITZI is my son’s favorite. She’s the sweetest. She makes sure she at least says hello to my son when we visit even if she’s not our assistant that day. They take pics together and everything. He loves her. Thank you Mitzi! <3 The Dr’s are also incredibly professional and seem to actually care about our smiles genuinely. Personally, I would also like to add that while it was painful at first for me I find myself smiling more these days. The cons: it’s expensive! However, they are braces and we’re investing in ourselves & our smiles. Their incentive program for the kids when we first started was better IMO. They would earn points and can cash them in for gift cards etc. The front office sometimes seems like we’re bothering. Not quite as sweet and welcoming as the assistants. But overall I would still say 5 stars! Can’t say the cons dampened my experience. My smile is amazing already! Thank you Dr Truman & Dr Doughtery!

We started at another orthodontist, but ended changing to Dr. Truman. We are so glad we did! My 11-year-old daughter got through the whole process in about a year and a half. She is completely done! My son just started the process. He will start with a retainer and then get braces once his adult teeth come in. I appreciate that Dr. Truman chooses the best solution for your child and not what would cost the most. It might be the best option for some to have 2-step braces, but I appreciate that he does not recommend that for all if it is not necessary. I trust him with the advice he gives. Our consultation with Dr. Truman last week was so good, we were back in 3 days to get my daughter's braces on. I had already been to a different orthodontist for a consultation 6 mos. ago which was quite pleasant, but knowing I needed to follow up this month, I decided to make an apt. with Dr. Truman for a 2nd opinion per several friends' positive experiences. As mentioned, the first consultation was good, but I was convinced Dr. Truman was our choice after our visit with him. The entire staff was friendly, professional and well informed. Kellie, the new patient coordinator greeted us first and was fabulous with my daughter. We then met with Brittany, the treatment coordinator who was also super friendly and explained everything from treatment to the payment plan. She had answers to all of my questions. Then Dr. Truman visited with us and examined my daughter. He reviewed her x-rays with us and explained what needed to be corrected. I loved the experience so much, we took the next available apt. When we arrived to get the braces on, Amber greeted us exactly on time. No wait. We watched the tremendously helpful video all about treating your braces and how the process works. Amber was terrific. My daughter is 8, so she wanted to hold my hand. They gave me a seat to scoot next to her and never made me feel I was in the way. Amber explained what she was doing the whole time, putting my daughter at ease. I can't say enough. The office is gorgeous too. Everything is state of the art with so many fun programs and activities for patients. You can tell Dr. Truman is passionate about his work, and it also is evident that he demands the same from his staff.

We have been completely happy with our experience with Dr. Mark Truman. He is very knowledgeable, as well as friendly, and patiently answers questions. One of the reasons we chose him was his pro-active plan for my 9-year-olds very crooked teeth; he was able to improve her appearance very quickly. His staff is also very nice to work with. I highly recommend Truman Orthodontics. We travel 22 miles one way, and that's a 30 minute drive, so that my daughter can have the best working on her. Sarah Joy is an absolute pleasure, she is very patient with my daughter. She encourages her to brush better and when she notices a difference, she is more excited then my own child. We love the family events that they provide for us, like going to the glittering lights before Christmas. It doesn't feel just like another business. They care about their patients, even messaging to check and see how they are doing after a tough treatment.

I highly recommend Truman Orthodontics. Dr. Truman & Dr. Joe are the best. My son had his braces put on about a year ago. It was projected that he would be in full orthodontics for at least two years. He has followed the regimented home care very well—so well in fact that he might be able to get his braces off soon, about a year early! I am amazed at the difference orthodontics has made in not just my son’s teeth, but his entire face, not to mention his blossoming self confidence. This transformation has truly been life changing.

When the dentist said our 7 year old needed an expander, we were concerned as he is extremely sensitive. After vetting out several locations we decided on Truman for their customer service, sensitivity to our son, and their prices. Everything went so much smoother than we could have predicted. Dr. Truman is outstanding!!! He exceeded our expectations throughout the duration for both my daughters. My first daughter had extra teeth, the plan he developed for her treatment created a beautiful smile. We decided on which teeth were keepers, and to be pulled and he brought them forward, amazing!!! She is pleased with her smile. My second child had her consult 1 year before she got braces, he took the time to bring her in 2 more times to decide when to start braces, she had a huge gap in two front teeth, and was missing 2 teeth ( funny because my other had extra). With his advice and plan, we agreed to bring all her teeth forward, keeping her real teeth was best plan for her. She has such a beautiful smile, and is so pleased. She needed the extra time to bring teeth forward, even after our payments were over, he still kept all her appointments. Years ago I always thought how I would pay for braces, thinking it wasn’t possible, and they make it possible. The office staff is friendly, and we’ve even used after hours and brought her in when her wires grew out and bothered her. The fixed problem immediately. Very accommodating throughout both children. He was a referral from a friend, in her 50s and I’m so pleased we went with him. We referred lots of friends to him, and they also are very pleased with service and treatment. Dr. Truman is very patient, knowledgeable with tons of experience with specialized cases. Plus we love their birthday parties they host yearly, and all their raffles. We were winners multiple times. If you want results, with ease, and great staff, this is the place!

Dr. Truman is so kind and talks to all the kids and parents, he is such a nice guy to talk to. They make you feel like family. They were very considerate and accommodating to my son and treated him like a young man while there. I have nothing but great things to say about his office and staff. They have a Kuerig for coffee and hot chocolate and Otter Pops for the kids. Their chapstick is the BEST!! We live pretty far from Dr. Truman but we would never think of going anywhere else. I would highly recommend Dr. Truman.

Dr. Truman and Dr. Joe have an incredible team! They are very attentive to your needs and schedule. I was scheduled to have braces on for 2 years, but their expertise and planning got me out of them 7 months early and with an amazing smile. Highly recommend them for adults or kids.

We are so glad our dentist referred us to Dr. Truman. From first entering the reception area to leaving the service is the best. Both my 10 and 11 year old have braces here. Everything is explained so the kids can understand too. Many different finance options. Waiting area has iPads and game areas and a great coffee machine for the parents. They have always ran in time as far as appointments which I like. 5 stars

We love Truman orthodontist. Today, I dropped my daughter off for her appointment and I had to stay in the car with a sick younger sibling. Sarah Joy the assistant walked out to my car with my daughter and talked to me about her appointment. I was so appreciative of her doing that. Truman ortho has wonderful customer service. I would highly recommend.

Truman Orthodontic is beyond just ortho work the techs are so gentle, kind and patient especially Sarah Joy, she takes her time to ensure the little ones are comfortable and understand what's going on. My daughter had to get a chain and the process is sometimes intense and scary for kids but Sarah Joy makes sure to take time to explain each step and allows my daughter to ask questions. My daughter actually looks forward to her visits with Sarah Joy. Thank you Truman Orthodontics you guys are truly the best

Truman Orthodontics is amazing! Dr. Truman and staff are kind and gentle. There office is fun and inviting. It has games and iPads while you wait and a coffee machine if you’re thirsty and ice pops to ease the pain. My eldest was treated here and she has a beautiful smile! Almost right at 2 years and we have nothing but praise for this office, the staff, & the orthodontists. It’s always a place we actually look forward to going to. My son and I battle to see who’s better at basketball & I get to get my Ms. PAC-Man fix. There are lots of fun things to do while you wait. However there is never really a wait. This is one of the only places in LV that we’ve been to that you go in at your appointment time if not earlier. Sometimes to the detriment of not finishing a game. 🤣 Amazing! My child started with the most awful gag reflex & everyone was always so kind and patient. Even as a mother, I could see myself getting frustrated. Never with anyone at Truman’s. We actually lost a dentist in LV because of this. So the patience and kindness are incredible. Everything is so thorough. I love how Dr. Truman talks to the kids first but then also tells mom and dad. Dr. Joe was a great addition. Both are super professional, personable, kind, and knowledgeable. All in all, we love everyone here and the experience was one of the best ever. My son got his braces off today & it’s amazing how beautiful and straight they are. We will miss coming in for new bands. Thank you for everything. All the treats throughout the past 2 years and all the kindness and professionalism. My son has stated he wouldn’t mind being an orthodontist when he grows up. That’s how much Truman impressed us. 😉🙏🏼

Truman Orthodontics is by far the best orthodontics we have seen. When searching for an orthodontist this year we consulted 3 different providers and Truman won by a landslide. The staff is kind, caring, and very friendly. The office is very flexible with appointment times, even when calling in for a broken bracket because my child couldn't say no to popcorn! The practice makes it fun for kids with a wonderful point system, fun contests, and waiting room full of games (not that we have ever waited longer than 5 minutes). I have been coming to Truman orthodontics for a year now. I have been doing Invisalign and I love my smile each time it changes a bit more. Marie was super nice and took the time to make sure my attachments were placed well. I appreciate her time and attention to detail.
