We took our beloved girl here when she couldn’t stop throwing up after 24 hours. It was a Sunday and our vet was closed. We were concerned about a bowel obstruction. I wish that vets would be more transparent with costs, so I wanted to include an estimate for her specific treatment plan.

The office and doctor were very friendly, and we were able to be seen right away upon opening. The price of the visit was fair especially for being seen right away. However, we felt that the price for the xray and reading of it (two separate line items) was insanely high.

I’m glad we went and have a treatment plan. I would recommend for anyone needing to be seen in the interim of their everyday vet. Thank you, Urgent Vet for helping us feel more at ease before we can be seen by our pirmary vet. ❤️

I just wanted to say how thankful I am For Dr. Kaku And the staff that was on shift at Urgent Vet On January 20, 2026 at 9:30 PM. We brought our sweet mochi boy in because he was so sick. Everyone there was so kind and respectful. Dr Kaku Gave us her honest opinion, she gave us all of our options and then she said what she thought would be best.
For Mochi. At 10:25 PM our sweet mochi boy crossed over the rainbow bridge in our arms as we held him and told him that we loved him. Dr. Kaku Explained every step of the process and stayed there with us as he passed away. They were so patient, So kind, they did not rush us Even though it was late at night. I can’t begin to say how much I appreciated them In that time, As that was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Our sweet mochi boy was so loving and so affectionate and so playful he had the best personality ever. And we miss him so much. A week after our dog, Maybelline, was diagnosed with severe kidney failure by our regular veterinarian, we were told her time with us would be limited. Unfortunately, her condition declined very quickly, and we knew we didn’t want her to suffer any longer.

Our regular veterinary office was closed that evening, so we called Urgent Vet in fear that the worst was near. They immediately got us in, brought us to a private room, and provided our family and Maybelline with the utmost care, compassion, comfort, and support as we said our goodbyes.

The cremation process was handled quickly and respectfully, and we had her remains back home with us within just two days.

It has now been over a week since Maybelline passed, and today we received a heartfelt sympathy card signed by the entire staff. Meanwhile, after notifying our established vet of her passing the following day, the only response we received was a brief email saying, “Sorry for your loss, we will update her file.”

The kindness and compassion Urgent Vet showed during one of the hardest moments our family has faced meant more than words can express. Because of the care they gave Maybelline and our family, they have absolutely earned our trust and future business when the time comes to welcome another pet into our lives.

We will forever recommend this office and location to anyone in need of compassionate veterinary care.

I called Urgent Vet when my dog had a severe allergic reaction to her vaccines. Her entire face was swollen, and she was very upset. As soon as we arrived, they took her to the back immediately and started treatment.
About 15 minutes later, they brought her back to me, and the swelling was already beginning to go down. The staff and veterinarian were incredible—kind, compassionate, professional, and fast to act when every minute mattered.

We have taken two of our dogs to UrgentVet now. One was dizzy and limping for an unknown reason and the other was for a deep laceration on her back leg. It’s extremely easy to reserve a spot and register online while my husband was on his way with the dog. Minimal wait time, which is nice. Our dogs received wonderful care and the follow up call the next day is very reassuring. It costs more than a regular vet, but less than an emergency vet. It’s just really great to have somewhere to go when your pet needs help and your regular vet isn’t an option.I really hope we don’t need to go again, but if we do, we absolutely will without hesitation. I truly appreciate not having to wait through the night to get my dogs the care they needed.

I took my dog Digit to Urgent Vet and they were absolutely amazing. Dr. Davis and everyone there was so caring and compassionate. Had to take our kitty to urgent vet just after hours - they were so kind and gentle with our girl. They diagnosed the problem, addressed it and gave us meds for home. Recently I came in to Urgent vet with my little Mercy girl she had seizures the place that I had gone before was so cold to me and even suggested since they were so expensive what I consider euthanizing her that would be cheaper I left there and I went to urgentvet and I believe it was Dallas blonde haired girl was so nice and accommodating to me and I took mercy and they did what they had to do but Mercy was Way beyond being able to be helped she was given medicine and in a week she was not doing very well I called them back they said bring her in and on the way my Mercy died in my arms as I got there one of the gals took Mercy from me and I collapsed on the floor crying they took her and clean her up and put her in a beautiful box and let me stay with her for as long as I needed then I was shown different things I chose to cremate her and chose a real nice box to keep her in urgent vet is the only place I'll ever go again if I have a pet not only do they know what they're doing they're sympathetic they have empathy and they care

My 12 year old dog, Harley, was having trouble breathing and I took him here. It was the best experience I could have ever asked for. The whole staff was very attentive and diligent when giving updates on Harley’s condition, especially Dr. Kaku. We left and they called the next day to check on him. I told them he wasn’t doing well and they told us to come back in and they won’t charge another walk-in fee. They gave him an injection and he is now doing SO much better. They called 2 more times after our second visit. Harley is on the mend and I am so grateful we found this place. Definitely the place to go when your fur-baby needs some help.

I called on a Sunday, not knowing what to do. It was apparent My kitty had been bitten or had a terrible infected abscess on her neck. My kitty is a feral and I advised them that I couldn’t give a time that I would be arriving because I knew catching her was going to be a challenge. Jessica at Urgent vet was kind enough to keep a time open for our arrival. When we did arrive, they immediately took us back. Dr. Ugorji along with Jessica were exceptional. They gave a clear game plan and were very upfront with cost and there were no surprises and no pressure. I would absolutely hands down come back here if we had another pet emergency.

We have a senior kitty who we found lying on the floor coherent but a bit out of it. Out of an abundance of caution I wanted to take him to a vet for a checkup, and unfortunately his regular vet was not open at that time. I had come across UrgentVet as an alternative to animal hospital the last time we had a similar situation and gave them a shot and I'm glad I did. There was no wait, the team was very compassionate and honest. They did some basic vital checks and felt he was in a good enough state to wait for the following day to see his regular vet and I so appreciate their honesty. I would recommend UrgentVet for any situation like ours where it did not appear to be an 'hospital level' emergency, however, still need some quick cost effective veterinary care. The following day they even called to see how our grumpy old man Logan was doing, and I'm thankful to say with the help of UrgentVet I was able to say he's happy and healthy today. Let me start by saying they took us in immediately and explained to the best of their ability. They were really good to my baby. However I felt like I was being sold a car. I was nickled and dimed. I paid almost 1300 to be told my dog has an infection but i have to take his urine to my regular vet for more testing. I was charged over 400 for an anti nausea shot and amoxicillian to take home. The vet said she would give him an antibiotic shot, so i approved of the payment. I was overwhelmed already. I left feeling taken advantage of. Will not return

UrgentVet on Sahara is amazing! I highly recommend them! My puppy was vomiting and having diarrhea late in the day. I contacted four other local vet clinics, but couldn't find find an opening any sooner than two days out. I saw a listing for UrgentVet in my Google search and called. They were able to see me in 10 minutes! I was so relieved! The vet ran some tests, prescribed some medication, and gave my puppy a shot to help with the vomiting, as well as administering some fluids under the skin. The next day, the clinic called to see how she was doing. She was still throwing up, so they asked me to bring her back in. A different vet ran some other tests to check for toxins, but ruled them out, which was a huge relief. So they administered more fluid, and said to continue the meds from the previous day. That was yesterday. Today, my puppy is feeling much better and is no longer vomiting. I would recommend UrgentVet for any veterinary needs! They aren't inexpensive, but they are very good!!

After an incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking experience at VECC ER, where we waited over 3 hours with our dog crying in pain from what we later learned was a hip dislocation, and still weren’t seen because “more critical” cases kept arriving, we turned to UrgentVet Las Vegas. It was the best decision we could’ve made.

From the moment we arrived, Kyle took care of us with empathy and efficiency. He checked us in immediately, completed all the paperwork quickly, and had our dog assessed and given pain medication within 30 minutes of arrival. After hours of being ignored elsewhere, the level of urgency and compassion they showed meant everything.

They performed x-rays and had results to us in under an hour, confirming the dislocated hip. Even though UrgentVet didn’t have the specialist needed to perform the reduction, they did everything in their power to help us, including calling VECC ER ahead of time, sending the x-rays, and explaining the urgency. Unfortunately, even after all of that, we still waited another 3 hours at VECC without being seen and ultimately didn’t meet with a surgeon until the next morning. But without UrgentVet, we wouldn’t have even had answers or pain control.

Dr. Kaku was outstanding, attentive, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable. She immediately recognized the urgency of the situation and made sure our dog was comfortable as quickly as possible. Even though they couldn’t fully treat the condition, I am forever grateful for the care, compassion, and competence they provided. They even followed up a few days later to check on how our dog was doing, something many ERs never bother to do.

We’ve since had a second visit for our other dog who was experiencing GI issues, and once again Kyle and the entire team were wonderful. Even though they were busy, we were never left waiting long, and they continued to check in on us, comfort my nervous dog, and thank us for our patience. We had labs, imaging, a treatment plan, and clear next steps all in a very reasonable amount of time. They even brought us back the next day for follow-up x-rays at no charge. Their genuine concern and kindness shine through in everything they do.

I cannot thank UrgentVet Las Vegas enough for the exceptional care they’ve given to both of my dogs. In stressful, scary moments, they have consistently shown compassion, urgency, and professionalism. This clinic and Dr. Kaku, Kyle, and the entire team will always be my go-to for urgent veterinary care. I trust them completely, and I know my dogs are in the best possible hands whenever we walk through their doors.

I had brought in my dog due to some clear discharge from her vulva and due to her not being spayed I had some concern even though she was acting completely normal, eating being playful etc. Which the first doctor was amazing they did many tests and was informed of false pregnancy, and very small bacteria in urine test but no confirmed UTI. Which I understand out of precaution why she was prescribed antibiotics. However I was called the next day to check on my dog and told them that she woke up not feeling well with diarrhea and lethargic and that I believed it was the antibiotics so they offered at no charge to bring her back to give her nausea medication and to help with diarrhea but when I went back it was a different doctor who said antibiotics wouldn’t cause those symptoms. WRONG, cause I searched side affects and long and behold those antibiotics caused the exact symptoms I was describing,
I had to pay for more tests due to being told it just so happens to be that at the same time she was going through false pregnancy that the diarreah may be something else and more serious like pancreaitis and had to pay more for more tests, I feel like the second visit all they did was provide fear to charge for more tests, and give more medications she doesn’t need when antibiotics due in fact cause those side affects, I decided to go with my gut and not give her the medications they sent me home with and she has gotten back to normal. I am grateful for the first diagnosis of her false pregnancy and running tests to make sure she was healthy, but the second visit left me not trusting them any longer as I feel it was just to get more money out of me and I feel like it was not necessary after knowing she was on antibiotics.

My husband I took our dog for an emergency exam after he had been sick and he was losing weight rapidly. Dr. Cheryl and Dallas were amazing! They took their time to explain everything to us. After results came back and we made the heartwrenching choice to put our dog to rest, they showed so much compassion and they were both so patient with us as we had our kids come to to goodbye. My cat was hit by a car and died immediately. I took him here and they were very kind. They did their best to accommodate me. I wanted him cremated but didn't have any money to pay that day. They offered me some options and everything worked out. I was truly impressed with their services. I must say this because it did bother me. After the Vet came in the room to tell me that my cat was already gone and let me know my options, I was in the room with my cat saying goodbye and when a different Vet came in the room to go over paperwork, I saw the other Vet sitting on his cell phone. This was just a few minutes apart after he left the room. I was immediately bothered by this, because it felt like a disregard of what just happened with my cat. I understand they might have had a lot of down time because it was late in the evening but that felt very insensitive. Just had to say that. I'm giving my honest feedback. I do believe this is a very good place to go and the Vets and workers there are great. They communicated with me very well from the beginning of me bringing my cat there to the end of me picking up his ashes. They were honest in everything they did as well. Thank you UrgentVet.

Our boy hurt his leg (zoomies) our regular vet couldn't get us in until the next day. But, was obvious he was in pain. I found this place just trying to find anyone who could get us in.
So simple to check in and reserve a spot. Easier than urgent care for humans.
My boy is scared of everything. They didn't require he be taken out of the room. Which I think helped him out. Weight, doctor check everything was done on front of us. If I could use this place as a regular everyday vet I would. Super clean, no normal vet oders and the staff was amazing, explained everything. I wish I had known about this place our last emergency in March. If ever needed this week be the first place I go to!!

We are traveling in our motorhome with our dogs. We woke up Saturday morning and our Lucy had something wrong with her eye. We went on google, searched out local Emergency Vet’s in Las Vegas and the one with the best overall rating is where we took her. They were great, ran a series of tests and made a prognosis. I am writing regarding the treatment my dog received at your UrgentVet location on Monday, 10.27.25, following a dog bite.

That day, my dog underwent sedation and surgery with stitches. Your team provided a cone that was too small, which allowed her to reach the surgical site with her mouth. Less than 24 hours later (Tuesday, 10.28.25), I noticed she may have opened a stitch. I immediately emailed photos and received a call back from your staff assuring me that “everything was okay.” Based on that professional advice, I continued the aftercare as instructed.

On Thursday, 10.30.25, I came home from work and found that my dog had opened all of her stitches. I brought her back to the clinic immediately. The attending veterinarian told me that the wound needed to be re-stitched right away because it was dangerous to leave it open and could become infected. I was then told I would need to pay approximately $700–$800 for another surgery.

Because I wanted to speak with the manager, I returned the following day (Friday, 10.31.25). The manager was rude and not care to my concerns. However, a different doctor was brought in and gave me completely opposite advice, saying the wound should be left open and would heal on its own. When I asked for written confirmation that she would take responsibility if complications occurred, she refused to provide it.

At this point, I was left extremely confused and disappointed. I paid for surgery and stitches, yet my dog now has an open wound because of the clinic’s mistakes — first by providing a cone that was too small and then by giving conflicting medical advice. The staff themselves later acknowledged the cone was too small and replaced it with a larger one.

This situation was not caused by any negligence on my part. I acted promptly, followed all instructions, and relied on the clinic’s professional guidance. The outcome shows clear inconsistency in care and a lack of accountability.

Make sure to call before heading there that they actually have doctors working. I showed up after 10 am on a Saturday but their door still was not open. When I rang the doorbell, someone came out to tell me that there was no doctor on duty until 1 pm - not something you want to hear when you have a sick fur baby and want to receive an "urgent" care.

We brought our dog in to UrgentVet on a Saturday after our regular vet sent us over because they did not have the staff onsite for a surgical procedure to repair a severe laceration. The staff at there was attentive and caring and were able to perform the surgery and we were provided with all the information and records, and they also sent them to our regular vet. They called the next morning to follow-up and came through for our boy and got him back on his feet. We recommend this facility for medical help that is needed and cannot wait until regular business hours. We are grateful and thankful for their care and concern for our dog.

Have newly adopted Yorkshire terrier that developed kennel cough but was having more frequent coughing spasms before vet appt next day. Went to this Urgent care and was impressed by service cleanliness and all staffs willingness to listen to my concerns. Very informative. Would definitely recommend this facility. Also pricing very reasonable compared to being asked for 1000.00$ up front at another facility I had used in past with other animal before they would even see her. I came here for the first time yesterday morning at 11am and had to say goodbye to my feline best friend yesterday. My cat was nauseous and vomiting for about 2 days, and my regular vet was fully booked until the following week, so they kindly recommended UrgentVet as an option to get him seen sooner. I was so impressed by Dr. Davis and the staff here, and the setup is extremely streamlined and efficient. We had two dogs, one of which had swallowed something very dangerous, but we didn't know which dog it was. This was late evening, so there weren't any regular veterinary offices open. We called UrgentVet and to our great relief they agreed to see our dogs. We met with Andre and Kyle initially as they took details about the dogs and weighed them in. Then the veterinary doctor came in, examined the dogs and talked about the treatment plan. We went forward with treatment, and fortunately the hazardous item was disgorged. Everyone we dealt with at UrgentVet was courteous, and showed kind compassion toward the animals. I also appreciated the next day phone call from Kyle to check on the status of the dogs. We would definitely go back, especially for after-hours pet emergencies!

This is now my go-to for emergency vet visits. No wait when you walk in, they bring you into a room right away. They have separate rooms for dogs and cats - great for pets that are anxious about vet visits. They gave my cat that was having a urinary blockage an X-ray and 2 different shots - I was only there for an hour. Everyone was so friendly and treated this situation like an emergency. They also followed up next day. This is a great team and I wish I had come here first. Cost-wise, it is reasonable given that this is an emergency vet visit. $129 for the initial exam

Incredibly nice staff and the hours are really convenient, but be careful if your pet needs more extensive labs. They are not affiliated with a lab, so they have limited testing in-house. I brought my cat in for a possible UTI, and they were only able to do a urinalysis, but were unable to send out a culture. Without a culture, there's no way of knowing how to appropriately treat a UTI with the right antibiotic. Super disappointing because I would not have brought my pet here to begin with if I knew this information. I still had to pay for an exam even though they couldn't do anything for me. Be cautious if you know you will need more extensive labs. Overall, nice facility and nice staff.

Went in a hurry when worried about my pug, as most would who are looking up this service. I called ahead of time so they were prepared for us when we arrived.

Vet & techs were very thorough & went through everything with me- explained what they thought was happening & when blood work returned explained in detail what could be contributing to her blood results & issues she was showing.

When I explained that we would be moving soon and I had concerns with setting up a follow up with a new vet because of this reason, they helped me With this as well as it was imperative for a follow up for my girl in two weeks.

The next morning they called and did a follow up to check on her.

Customer service was top-notch and everybody was very kind and genuine

We have used Urgent Vet twice and this will be our go to vet from now on.
Unfortunately, we had to euthanize two cats in the last six months. They were so caring and thoughtful, and their facility is immaculate and so calming. We were able to be with our fur babies through the whole process and were given the time we needed to say goodbye.

I am very thankful that I found them. Our dog Honey needed urgent care due to one of her mammary gland tumors rupturing, outside of her primary vet office hours. We received superb service from the start. My first interaction was via telephone with Jody who was compassionate and understanding, and upon our arrival, she greeted us and took Honey’s vitals. The doctor was patient, and knowledgeable, she thoroughly discussed the consultation, and the care plan delivery was clear. I will definitely go back if my pets need urgent care in the future.

I'd advise only going if ABSOLUTELY necessary. Insanely expensive, and I believe they try to upsell on services. Care was comprehensive, but I was initially quoted over $1400 for blood work and x-rays. After being quoted $1400, I was handed brochures for financing with 17% interest rates. I just went with the blood work and it was still nearly $900.

Really grateful this place exists. My cat hurt himself in the process of getting startled, and UrgentVet gave me peace of mind the night before I had an early morning flight. We were greeted just after walking in, and taken back to a private room. It was clean and quiet--it was obvious that they put quite a bit of effort into trying to make it an easy-going experience for their patients with the lighting and music/sounds. The vet tech was kind, considerate, and efficient. The dr. was thorough, but patient. He didn't do anything unnecessary, and was able to explain why and answer all my questions and concerns. We were in and out within 30 minutes. Exam fee, an Onsior injection, and a 3-day supply to go home with, all for what just the exam fee at VEG would have cost. They also emailed me my payment invoice, contacted my regular vet on my behalf and sent them records, and called to check in the next day. This place is awesome. UrgentVet should be the standard of care for all critical/emergency/urgent care veterinarians to emulate.

Had to take my dog in as I couldn’t get into my regular vet for a week. I love this place! As someone who has a reactive dog and loathes waiting rooms of vet offices, this place is a DREAM. You save your spot online and then wait for a text. When you walk in, you’re immediately taken into a room. No chance for your pup to come into contact with other animals in an unsafe way. The wait to be seen was quick! I was there maybe an hour and a half total and the visit cost was about what I pay at my regular vet office! I would absolutely go back here! The 2 lady’s that took care of my dog were kind, patient and quick! My dog hurt his leg catching it on the couch while trying to jump up and was limping. I was in and out in less than an hour. That included paperwork since we’re a new client, seeing him, doing xrays, reading X-rays, diagnosing and getting us the needed medication. I think of UrgentVet as the peace of mind our fur children need. Our usual vet is great for checkups and very minor things, ONLY if there happens to be an appointment that’s not so far out in advance that it becomes medically detrimental. Such a wonderful place. After seeing blood in my cat’s urine, I took him to UrgentVet. I did not hold our place in line online and simply walked in. I was greeted quickly and there was no wait time. The private rooms are clean and comfortable. Gloria was absolutely lovely! She treated my cat with the utmost care and even gave him treats. She listened to me intently and documented everything with clear details. Dr. Briggs was very kind to my cat and I can tell that he genuinely loves and cares for all animals. He’s quite knowledgeable. My cat ended up having a UTI. I received an estimate for the services quickly and Gloria took the time to discuss all of my options. The entire process took an hour and fifteen minutes for the medical exam/consult, diagnosis, estimate, fluids, and medicine. It was SO fast compared to my experiences at other places. Our experience at UrgentVet on Sahara was exceptional and I highly recommend for any pets/pet parents in need of care after normal vet hours! We were able to get to a room right away and the staff member who greeted us was so kind and helpful. This vet clinic was one of the only places open on Thanksgiving when my shih tzu, Daisy, suddenly became sick, and I’m so grateful they were. Dr. Lam was incredibly caring from the moment we arrived. After her bloodwork came back, he took the time to clearly explain everything and mentioned that she most likely ate something that upset her stomach. He also gave me several options—like getting X-rays—to rule out any internal blockages if I wanted total peace of mind.

I decided to go with the medication he recommended and monitored her closely over the next couple of days. Dr. Lam even called to follow up and check on how she was doing, which meant a lot. In the end, he was right—she probably just ate something that didn’t agree with her, because she was soon back to her normal, happy, energetic self.

The care we received here was truly top notch. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone facing an emergency with their pet.

Hi I took my dog either Yorkie last Sunday he had extreme diarrhea... They did give him some good medicine for his diarrhea and an ivy and some food.. told me to give him a quarter cup then another 1/4 cup anyways at every feeding by the second feeding he threw it all up.. when I called to ask they said oh no the food would not make him throw up. I don't believe that anytime you change a dog's food it can upset their stomach and he was already upset he's only 8 lb. They said if you like to bring them back why would I do that and spend another hundred and something dollars.. or more cuz they would probably want to run some more tests. Well immediately took them off the food Monday morning today is Friday has not thrown up once he's back to normal... So I'm sorry clinic it was the food that made him throw up.. so this is a little upsetting probably won't go back there if I have an emergency

I have a pug. On a Saturday morning I noticed her eye looked scratched. I called my regular vet and they did not have an opening, but suggested UrgentVet. I was able to set up an approximate appointment time on line. When I arrived I checked in on the kiosk. I was immediately greeted and placed in a room. In less than 5 minutes the tech was with me observing my dog, taking her vitals and information. The vet came in shortly after. They both made me feel very comfortable and the care they gave my girl was outstanding. Emergency Vets are not places you hope to return to, but I would not hesitate if the need arose. Took my dog in for an eye injury. Reserved a spot online before open and when I got there at open the check in process was quick and easy, just click your name on a tablet at the front. I was the first one in and I believe another dog came in shortly after but it was not busy at 10am on a Sunday. The 2 people I interacted with were very nice and informative. You're kept in the loop throughout the visit about what things will cost. Also got emails throughout the visit on each step which is nice if we ever have to look back on this incident in the future.

I brought my cat here for an ear infection -- my family vet was booked out over a week, and I didn't want my cat to be waiting in discomfort or pain for that long. This facility is gorgeous -- very clean, quiet, and efficient. They have coffee and water in the waiting areas which is very thoughtful, and they even dimmed the lights in the room for my poor nervous baby.

We were seen promptly once we arrived by a tech who took vitals and explained to me up-front that they had a slightly more urgent patient ahead of my cat and that I would need to wait about 30 minutes. That's not bad, and I've waited longer than that at my family vet before so not a big deal. I was, in fact, seen within 30 minutes and as soon as the focus was on my cat -- we were in and out of there. They took care of her, cleaned out her ear quickly but compassionately, got me her medications, and sent me on the way. Everyone, including the doctor, was friendly and happy to answer questions and VERY good at handling a cat.

ABSOLUTELY will return here if there is a need to, and I would recommend them to anyone in need of this somewhat more 'specialized' form of vet care -- not quite an ER visit, but too urgent to wait for the vets to be open or have appointments. 10/10!

From the outside it looks like a normal emergency pet clinic. But the staff is exceptional. My 3 year old cat is suffering a possible hefty respiratory infection and after days of searching for affordable care he wasn’t going to survive on his own much longer. Barely breathing and holding on by a thread, as soon as the nurse heard the critical condition he was rushed in and given treatment. They recommended a vet who I saw today and they were just as great. Thank god they saved my cats life. He’s breathing much better today and seems to be improving.

I went to this Emergency Vet because of the good reviews. If it were up to me I would’ve went to the regular vet, but when my dog had black bloody stool it was already past normal business hours.

First the vet created a treatment plan that didn’t address my concerns. Without even testing my dog or her stool sample that I brought in, they already had the medication and everything that she’d “need.” The stool sample for one parasite (not sure why they don’t look for all parasites in a test when each test is around $90) came out negative so the workers came back in telling me they wanted to test for another parasite that didn’t align with any of my dogs symptoms. I asked multiple times if that test would be a good idea because it didn’t make sense to me and I don’t have money to waste on tests that are just going to be a waste of time based off my dogs signs and symptoms, and the tech advised me it was a good idea- of course it came out negative, showing me that this vets office either doesn’t know the difference between certain parasites and diseases, or they wanted to rack up the bill. As a woman of science, I know how simple it is to look for pathogens under a microscope, and how staining is then used to find the specific kind. If there was no pathogen detectable in the first place that would’ve saved me money on doing two specific parasite tests that of course were negative. Even with the negative tests they still wanted to give me the same prescriptions that they had recommended before even running the stool sample making all the tests they did even more pointless. When I asked to get just a prescription to order later, suddenly my dog didn’t need as many things (weird). Also just a heads up, online the prescriptions were 75% cheaper.

But this isn’t the worst part. As someone who works in a lab and understands biohazards, I was astonished to find out that this vets office either doesn’t take biohazards seriously or they lack intelligence on what biohazards even are. I’m assuming they did know my poop sample was a biohazard though because they didn’t think I’d want my container back that I brought my dogs stool sample in telling me there’s no way I’d want to use the container again. That’s fair, but then if the container is so disgusting and still has BLACK BLOODY STOOL inside, why did they simply throw it away and not dispose of it properly as a biohazard? I definitely will inform the NVB as this is highly concerning, and I hope this vet starts to do better (or gets shut down because biohazards are a serious matter), Bloody diarrhea is definitely a biohazard, not trash for the dumpster that people and animals have easy access to.

I could also mention how the staff “searched and couldn’t find the stool sample” in the dumpster but I found it in less than 2 minutes—again, because a dumpster is easy to access, and the sample was literally on top.

If you need to go to a vet, go to a vet that actually follows health code, isn’t lazy, and actually knows what they’re doing so they don’t charge you for pointless tests that don’t even make sense to do.

I had to bring my little Chihuahua into Urgent Vet he was bitten by another dog a larger dog. It was emergency service and Dr. Smith and nurse Bridget were excellent and very professional . They treated my dog quickly efficiently and with great care and I would recommend them to anybody. This was the fastest, cleanest, least stress inducing vet experience I have ever had.

The office is new, there were no other patients waiting. I was seen immediately for a major emergency for my 16-year-old dog.

The staff was friendly, helpful, listened to my concerns and my logic regarding my dog's health, and acted accordingly. They didn't try to force a bunch of unnecessary expensive procedures on me...

Pricing was fair, especially given the state my dog was in when she came in. Over the last 48 hours I have seen a marked improvement in her behavior and health.

Most of all, the staff at Urgent Vet gave me hope.

I'm sure they won't stay as low traffic as they seem to be for long, especially given how good my experience was. It's a new office... People will find out about it sooner than later!

It perfectly fits the purpose between your primary vet and an emergency vet when you’re faced with a worrisome concern but can’t get to your primary vet , and a full-on emergency facility visit seems a bit over the top. Think in terms of why you’d contact urgent care for yourself.

My son took his dog here a couple of weeks ago, late in the evening. His dog had a swollen tongue and was drooling a lot. The vet ended up telling him that he had a "stomach ache", and that he was fine. My son was confused as to why a stomach ache will create a swollen tongue.
A week later, the dog still has a swollen tongue and he starts to drool with blood. Took him to another vet, ended up he had an open wound in his mouth that by this time had gotten infected. I believe the vet that saw him at this urgent place did not want to take the time to investigate what or why his tongue was swollen, didn't make the effort at all.
I wish we can dispute or argue to get our money back as this was a waste of time for us and my son's pet!

So Sunday evening I gave my lab a bully stick to chew on and when he was done he was drooling uncontrollably. His mouth was like the kitchen sink running but with drool. So I figured something from the chewy got stuck. Well a Sunday evening my vets closed luckily I was able to get in here at 730 they took me as a walk in, took the X-rays and got my pup fixed up. Everyone was very nice and the prices were reasonable.

I am new to the Summerlin area and my naughty pup got into some raisin bread. They are open a lot later than other vets around and we're able to see me right away! Not only were they able to induce vomiting to eliminate the toxins, they did blood work to make sure he was OK. They did not try to over sell me or use the urgency of the situation to get more money. They explained everything, the doctor came and sat with me to go over his test results in details I could understand. The facility was very clean, no smells and I was in and out in an hour! One of the best experiences ever and would not hesitate to have them treat Paxton in the future! Thank you for helping my baby!

I was very impressed with UrgentVet. My girl, Dali, got bitten and the wound started festering, so I couldn't wait for my regular vet. We were seen the same day, right away. Dali is usually terrified of new people and places, but everyone here was so kind and caring that she warmed up immediately. The staff took care of her wound, got us some meds, and we were in and out very quickly. Their fee was extremely reasonable! They had to shave part of her face to treat the bite, and she received a certificate for "Best Hair" which I thought was sweet and hilarious, definitely a nice touch at the end of an urgent care visit!

Pup decided to get into trouble and hurt one of her back legs. Drove to UrgentVet as a walk in.
Had to grab a fridge magnet!
Super friendly staff with clean environment. They got us into a room as soon as we arrived. Got just what the pup needed for her sore leg.
When they say low cost, they mean it too! I was ready to paid a bill around $500 but everything from the visit to meds was under $200 all together.
Love our daytime vet, but this team has definitely become our night time back up.

Their service and compassion was wonderful! They took the time to check out my baby and exam her. The only thing I did not know, this is not an ER. They can't do surgery, therefore I had to spend another consultation and service fee at the ER to get her ULTRA SOUND done due to her diagnosis given. So unfortunately I spent an extra $250-$300 more then I needed to.

Seconds after we checked in, they immediately called us and attended us. Friendly staff, reasonable charge for owners who doesn't have pet insurance and very professional. TBH, hated going there. Wife and I knew it was tine for our precious kitty at 830pm. Staff very friendly and understandable of our situation and loss. Highly recommend them for compassion and understanding of situation. Hopefully never need their after hour services but if we do they will always be first and will tell all I know about my experience (terrible situation) and how they help us through it.

I took my dog here last night after she decided to eat a lot of chocolate. Everyone here is so caring and were ready to help, they attended to her right away. The clinic has a good set up to get you in a room right away and it’s clean.

I do not recommend this vet at all. First and foremost, the email they sent me after we left with a summary of our visit and at home instructions told me that I needed to have my dog euthanized which was completely inaccurate and I can only assume was meant for another patient. They need to double check to make sure they have the correct person and animal that they're sending those emails to.
I brought my dog in there because she has been throwing up and having diarrhea for a few days. After the blood test, they misdiagnosed her as having Immune Thrombocytopenia and sent me home with medication she did not need. The vet even told us that the first time they ran it, the results came back odd for everything and they had to run the labs again- in other words, she knew there was an issue with the blood results not being accurate. We were charged over $1,800 for x-rays, bloodwork, 2 injections they gave her at the office for nausea, and 3 medicines to give her at home- one of which was prescribed to her because of their misdiagnosis. I don't feel like this vet really did anything to treat the initial issue of why we brought her in in the first place. We had a 2 hour drive back home to Arizona and did not even make it that far before my dog was throwing up again. We ended up taking her to our local vet the next day where they hospitalized her to put her on IV fluids because of the dehydration. My local vet ran another bloodwork panel and was able to determine her platelets are not extremely low and she does not have the Immune Thrombocytopenia and does not recommend putting her on the steroids that UrgentVet sent her home with. After being on the IV fluids for 24 hours along with anti nausea injections, she is now feeling better, eating and keeping it down. I should be able to pick her up this afternoon. UrgentVet cost me $1,800 and I felt they did not do anything to treat her only misdiagnosed her. I am now having to pay an additional $1,500- 2,000 bill to my local vet for what should have been done at UrgentVet.

We brought our sweet 13 year old baby girl in she was having a lot of sudden issues and unfortunately there was nothing that could be done to save our sweet girl. The Dr and staff showed a lot of care and compassion to our family to make the hardest decision to put our girl to rest. I recently took my sick kitten here. He has some coughing issues, it’s most likely kennel cough. We waited for 3 hours!!! They tried to get me for over $1,000 . I opted for the IV fluids and antibiotics for $375.00 I felt that the staff was not just rude, but very vague about my cats diagnosis. We left feeling taken advantage of. The next time you have an emergency with your pet. Seek care elsewhere. This office seems to care more about money more than anything else. I don’t recommend this place.

I used this UrgentVet for my 21 year old dachshund who had cancer and they were excellent. Tonight I had to put my other dog down who declined quickly and could not wait to have their vet do it tomorrow. I called and spoke to someone first who was so compassionate. Our cat, Luna, was in need of care on a Sunday late afternoon and our regular vet was closed. UrgentVet's late hours (8pm on Sundays) made it possible for us to get her in and have all the tests and medications administered to get her on the mend until we can see our regular Vet later this week.

The entire staff was friendly, courteous, gentle with our pet, and gave us the straight forward answers to our concerns.

Very very highly recommend UrgentVet! They were a lifesaver when my dog had a lipoma burst. They were so nice, helpful and empathetic. They explained our options and made sure we understood each procedure. They took great care of my dog and kept me updated on her status. We were seen by doctor Ukachi Ugorji for ear itching and it was a truly bad experience.
Not even including literally waiting for 3 hours which I was trying to be patient as I understand it was an urgent care but at 3 hours point is just not acceptable as there’s nothing urgent about that.
So the doctor started to talk about the treatment plan without even looking at my cat and he’s ears I should have walked away immediately! She prescribed antibiotics Tresaderm while I’ve explicitly said he had hv1 herpes and ibd and of course that steroids caused a big herpes outbreak that we had to get antivirals and and cause his ibd flare up after that. All because of generic “leave me alone” prescription.
If you’re getting this doctor avoid!
It also cost $300.
We’ve seen other two doctors for other incident and they were more present and professional.

The ladies that work there are very patient, empathetic and listen to you when you ask questions or have concerns. I was a nervous mess when I got there in my mind bringing my pet there. I was impressed they let me be in the room with my cat and allowed me to see how and why and explained why they do things a certain way with nervous pets like mine and that also helped me learn more and understand them more.The financing and the prices for the recommendations of treatment was reasonable and I was approved this same day and it helped me alot with times being tough like we are all going through, gave me recommendations and also gave me a peace of mind going home today.
