As a husband, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with Dr. Barraza and the way her practice has handled my wife’s ongoing dental issues.

It is upsetting enough to watch my wife repeatedly deal with problems involving dental work that should have been properly addressed long ago. She has spent her time, money, and energy trying to get these issues resolved, only to be met with excuses, dismissive responses, and a lack of accountability. As her husband, it’s incredibly frustrating to see how much unnecessary stress this has caused her.

What makes this even more disappointing is the apparent hiding or suppression of negative reviews. Patients should be able to share their experiences openly, especially when those experiences involve ongoing problems with their care. Rather than addressing legitimate concerns, it feels as though the practice is more interested in protecting its reputation.

The most recent interaction regarding our family’s dental records only added to my frustration. When I requested our family’s records, despite my wife and me being listed as each other’s emergency contacts and having authorizations on file to discuss medical information, the office sent me only my wife’s and AJ’s records while separately sending mine to my email.

I understand the importance of protecting patient privacy, but given the authorizations we have on file and the circumstances surrounding our request, the way this was handled felt unnecessarily passive-aggressive and petty. At this point, even a straightforward request for records has become another frustrating interaction.

Patients deserve professionalism, transparency, accountability, and respect, particularly when something has gone wrong. My wife should not have to continuously advocate for herself just to receive appropriate care and basic courtesy.

I would not recommend Dr. Barraza’s practice based on what our family has experienced. I hope others take the time to research their options and understand that a patient’s experience doesn’t end when they leave the dental chair. How a practice handles complications, concerns, and complaints says just as much about its quality as the dental work itself.

This is the second time my crown has fallen out and no rhyme or reason to it. The staff at the new location is dismissive and passive aggressive. Unfortunately switching providers after this last visit.

To add to this is how now fallen again and the unhelpful staff Melinda at her practice doesn’t make it easier. They now want me to pay for a consult on a crappy work that has had to be redone three times because I switched dentist due to their terrible attitude and customer service.

I am filing a complaint with the medical board as I believe I am not the only one that this type of practice has affected in this way if they are so quick to disregard a loyal patient whom they are aware has had this work done at their practice for YEARS before their inevitable rainbow location closure.

If you notice all of their recent “reviews” are old reviews that have been edited to reflect their poor status. So. It only are they deceiving customers they are now also actively trying to hide it.

Love the team at Valley Dental! I’ve been their patient for over 3 years and their service has always been excellent and consistent. Not only the Dr is super nice but her staff is amazing too. My experience every time I go for my appointments has always been positive. I have been going to Valley Dental for several years. I had advanced gum disease, so I go in every 3 to 4 months for the past two years for cleaning. I used to dread having my teeth cleaned because it would hurt so much. All of the staff is amazing, friendly, and most importantly they take their time so discomfort is minimal. I am in and out in about an hour, and my teeth and gums are in the best shape they have been in years. Also love working with a dentist who owns the practice instead of one of those that is owned by corporations.

Dr. Barraza is my SIXTH dentist I have gone to. Every single one before her has been a horrible experience. Ranging from overpricing me or overfilling a tooth that had a cavity to the point of nerve damage which led to getting a root canal! The staff and Dr. Barraza brought me so much relief that I never felt with previous dentists. I went in for a cleaning and a second root canal + crown. I was filled with anxiety, but everyone was extremely generous and quick in attending my needs. I was reassured and informed every step of the way. Dr. Barraza answered any and all of my questions. Went in for a cleaning, they took all the X-rays no problem. They told me of all the things I needed done, I just wanted a cleaning it’s been awhile since I had one.they said no that I needed a deep cleaning, of course that’s not covered by my dental plan. The staff in the Dr. are very friendly and effective, but the air freshener in the office was so strong I could taste it in the air and it made it difficult to breathe. The, Dr. seems surprised, said that this was the first time they’ve ever heard someone complain about it , but when I was thinking back, as soon as I walked into the office and choked , the receptionist laughed and said they were immune to it, so, obviously she knew exactly what I was talking about. Valley dental is very professional. They really changed how I feel, about going to the dentist. You see how much they care how they remember nearly everyone's name as they arrive.
They'll really work with you, if you need to take care of personal duties first.
Most importantly, they know their stuff.

Dr. Reyes & her staff is absolutely amazing. I have extreme ptsd the staff let the doctor & her nurse know about my condition. Both ladies were a wonderful support system with me. I was told every bit of the extraction before it began. When my anxiety started we all did breathing exercises to calm me. I got there @ 2 & was out @ 3. Give these folks a call you will not be disappointed. I went to the Charleston & Sloan one by Albertsons. I’m definitely a supporter of this dental practice maybe you will see me there. Aloha

I have been going to this Dental Office for 3 years. She is the best I have had in 12 years. She does everything in her practice. Fillings, cleanings, root canals, implants, crowns and anything else. I found Dr. Strider-Barraza back in the fall of 2023 while desperately searching for someone who would be to provide an oral sleep apnea device similar to the one I had had made for me by a sleep dentist in San Diego about 7 years ago. I was beginning to think it was not going to be possible in Las Vegas-at least not at an affordable price. I went to see her and have been extremely impressed by her and her staff. Dr. Strider-Barraza has gone above and beyond to get me situated with this device and is really not getting anything out of it. I've needed to make several visits and they always accommodate me and are friendly and helpful. I actually need a replacement because I cracked it and that process was also smooth and painless. The doctor needed to call and speak with the lab about the issues I've been having with it. I have so appreciated the effort that they have put in-particularly the doctor-to make sure I have what I need. I recommend her and her office staff to anyone that is looking for above average customer service.
